He grabbed the brown paper bag immediately. Covering half his face with the bag, he blew in and out, repeating the action until he felt the tightness in his chest released a bit. It wasn’t his inhaler, but it’ll do for now.
He glanced from the bag to the girl and frowned. “Why?”

He was helped up, braced against the wall. The absense of the mask helped, but it was still difficult to breathe. He tried breathing in and out, just like he was taught. Clenching his eyes, he could feel the sting of the sweat that hit his pupil. He wiped at his eyes and heaved.
Glancing up, he huffed and waved his hand in dismissal. "Just... s-stop running... dammit. This," he motioned at himself in between gasps, “It’ll go away...” He clenched his eyes again and heaved, shaking his head. “O-Okay. P-Paper bag. I. Need.”

“Hey there, I’m the super guy here. Don’t try to take my spotlight,” he raised a finger in front of the girl before blinking down at the extended pack of gum. “Uh, sure. Why the hell not,” he replied with shrug, taking a piece. He stared at the piece before eyeing at his outfit with a frown. With a sigh, he placed the piece of gum on the floor near him.
He scoffed at the comment. “Yeah. It’s pretty great.” He finished his own can of soda and aimed for the nearby trashcan. When the can disappeared into the trashcan, he whooped and grinned proudly. “Apparently even Spiderman needs to show his I.D. Not saving his ass next time.”

“No of course not.” She said smiling largely at him. “I think you just described me as a super hero with out alcohol.” She said with a chuckle. She finished off her soda and reached into her pocket grabbing a pack of peppermint gum. Offering the other a stick before taking one of her own and popping it into her mouth.
“It’s always nice meeting someone else who doesn’t really excel in social situations.” She stated before smiling once again. The boy had a temper it seemed. “You don’t have your I.D? Not that it’d do much for you Spidey.” She smiled looking at his still half covered face.

He flinched like he had been burned. He didn’t need to hear the words to feel the crushed look the girl was harboring on her face. “That’s not what I mean- hey!” He gritted as he cursed inwardly.
He reached out only to miss the girl’s hand when she turned and began to run. “Hey! Stop running!” He shouted with his hands cupped around his mouth. “Shit,” he growled before picking up his pace, running after the girl. He kept shouting after the girl, wincing as the camera around his neck slammed into his chest with every bump.
“Stop i-” He gasped when he felt his chest constricted, his hands flew out to brace himself as he dropped to the floor, hard. He reached up and took off his mask with shaking hands and heaved, trying to suck in deep breaths. “Stop...”

“Can’t really do that if I’m drunk.” He chuckled lightly in amusement. He took another sip. “I’ll trip over a roof or something,” he added. “Not to mention the part where I fall and hit the pavement- like poof.” He finished with his hand making an exploding movement. He shook his head and shrugged. “Sorry, that was way too morbid.”
He snorted. “Classic. And here I was, thinking that I was the only one that is shit with socializing,” he motioned before clearing his throat with a scratch of his head. “I might or might not have gotten pissed when that asshole bartender tried to card me.”
Event || Downtown
“No drinking and web slinging?” she smiled taking another sip of her pop. Feeling he fizz trickle down her throat. She watched as he motioned with enthusiasm. It was entertaining and made her smile.
She rolled the can in her hand listening the the aluminum crinkle slightly as she did so. “There was too many people.” she said quietly “I’d rather not socialize. What brought you out here?” She said resting her chin on her knees.

Kyle let out a shout for help as the girl began dragging him into her unknown lair. He tried to pull back from her hold but met with trouble from the surprisingly strong grip. As he entered the apartment, his eyes flickered around anxiously, trying to catch sight of the torturing instruments that these people no doubt have.
To his surprise, he did not see anything out of place. Besides the cluttering factor, everything seemed quite normal. Too normal even. His mouth gaped open in confusion as he spun around slowly, taking in everything once again. “Okay… this is unexpected, ” he murmured.
He turned around slowly just in time to catch sight of the boy walking in. His brows furrowed as he began reading the boy’s lips. He did not forget the image of the boy’s head going through the wall and as the weird boy took a step closer, Kyle immediately took a step back. “Ay yo, I’m good,” he stuttered, his hands shot him in defense.

He shook his head when the girl finally took a sip. He turned just in time to catch her words, letting a small smug smile appeared on his face when she went with his role. “Can’t drink if I want to save people later with a steady hand,” he motioned a little too cheerfully.
Noticing the awkwardness in his words, he cleared his throat and took another sip from his can. “Why are you here creating cancer when you could be inside socializing?” He grumbled.

The boy was sort of infuriating and it caused the red faced witch to frown. “No. I wasn’t aware.” she said, albeit still quietly. She cracked the tab and opened the can before taking a sip. She looked over to the boy whose face was still covered by his mask.
“Why are you out here drinking coke instead of inside actually drinking Parker?” she asked in her quiet tone. Knowing that he probably would understand even if she stopped the sound but kept the motions of her lips.

Kyle watched the girl’s facial movement, frowning at the clear sightly of anger and frustration presented on her face. His frown deepened at the way her eyes narrowed with anger and all he did was huff in response. “I didn’t say I didn’t want to come!” He snapped. “But knowing that you’re the one with the horns and fire, I didn’t think I have much of a say in this!” He spoke with anger, or what he hoped was anger as his hands moved frantically in front of him. He didn’t actually meant what he was saying, but the girl was starting to drive him nuts and well... it was never good.

He pushed the can impatiently toward the girl, rolling his eyes when she took her sweet ass time taking a hold of the cold can. He reached down to grab his can of coke, popping the tab opened before flinging it to the side. He took a huge sip, twitching slightly as the airy gas hit his chest.
He took another sip, eyeing the girl with the corner of his eyes. Lowering his drink, he flicked at the girl’s can and frowned. “Are you going to just hold onto it? You do know it’s for drinking, right?” He motioned.

A small giggle escaped as she watched him stomp. She was still nervous but the action combined with the mask was too much for the witch to handle. She brought a hand to her mouth in an attempt to cover the sound.
Die. The word was always an ugly one and just him uttering it made her flinch. Perhaps it was the fact people always whispered it when she was around. She wasn’t dying. She was sick and people always just made it so one meant the other was happening as well. She watched him continuing to be bothered by the smoke. She flicked her hand slightly using magic to push the lingering wisps away. Then slowly she took the can. “thanks.” she mumbled.

His gaze followed the cancer stick, eyes narrowing behind the mask until the light was snuffed out. He himself stepped on it once before kicking it off further down the pavement, flapping his hands around the air that still lingered with the revolting smell. “Seriously, not cool,” he murmured, his hand wiggled close to his chest.
He huffed and finally sat down on the steps instead of the uncomfortable squatting. He sat a bit further from the girl, not wanting to take in any more second hand smoke smell. He placed the two cans of soda on the steps next to him before relaxing into his floor seat. “I really don’t care what crap you people like to absorb in your body. If you want to die earlier, be my guest,” he opened the can of soda and took a sip. “We’re overpopulated anyway,” he mumbled before glancing over at the girl briefly. He looked down at this another can of soda, wrinkling his nose before grabbing it and pushing it toward the girl. “Here,” he motioned with his hand, “This kills you slower.”

Her humming had been interrupted by sudden shouting causing the meek girl to jump in surprised. She looked up to see a Spiderman. Mouth and nose sticking out from the mask hands moving frantically. Signing. She had met a few deaf people hanging around the hospital but all she got from it was a name sign. Some variant of the sign for flower and girl meshed. It fit her. If he hadn’t startled her so she would of giggled at his silliness. Instead her eyes darted to the smoke in her hand feeling a sudden tinge of guilt.
“S-sorry.” she said quietly looking up at him again so he could see her lips. Hand shaking nervously she dropped it on the concrete and squished it out. Eyes darting away nervously, trying to look anywhere but the intimidating costumed boy before her. Hoping he’d go away or just sit there silently. Crossing her arms over her knees she watched a car drive by.

He leaned back and eyed the girl, an annoyed expression in place. “Okay woman,” he replied while cupping his hands around his mouth. “So you brought me to the party your little supernatural book club is hosting. Nice!” He increased the pressure in his voice for the last part, hoping to sound sarcastic.

It’s been an hour into the party at this point, his mask already half way up his face for the large amount of fries he’s been consuming. He had taken pictures, lots of pictures. It was a whole lot easier to take them when most people were dancing. One amusing thing he found was that not being able to hear the music made everyone’s dance move seemed stupid. Funny, but very stupid.
He caught sight of a Batman walking pass him, he threw the guy a thumbs up, grinning when he got a shooting web motion in return.  His eyes continued to scan the room, landing on the bar before walking over. Waving at the bartender, he cleared his throat and nodded. “Can I get a beer?” He asked along with his hand.
The man eyed him with a brow arched. “ID.”
He frowned. “I’m Twenty-five.”
The man continued to stare, now with his arms crossed. “ID.”
Kyle felt a vein popped on his neck. “Are you kidding me? I’m freaking twenty-five! Fine! You want ID?” He reached into the pocket of his spandex, digging inside and froze. “Shit,” he murmured, realizing that he had left the card at home.
He closed his eyes, (not that the man could see), and turned to the man, mumbling lowly. “Get me a can of coke,” he mumbled before hitting the counter. “Make that two! Two cans!” He snapped with two fingers up.
After he grabbed the two cold cans, he huffed, decided to step out of the lame party. Once he got out, he sucked in a deep breath of the late night’s air, just to be attacked by the smell of cancer. He let out a yelp of disgust, looking around for the culprit before spotting her, cancer in hand and sitting on the steps.
“Hey! You with the cancer stick!” He marched up to the girl, kneeling down with annoyance. “Do you know how shitty those things are?” He shout with his hands moving frantically.

She had been there for a couple weeks. Avoiding people and getting her plants settled. She heard there was a costume party and the few days she was there she spent debating on going. There would be people. There would be danger. The lights and increase in a chance of being injured made her hesitant but in the end she went. Dressed as Antheia the goddess of flowers. She wore a flowing white greek styled dress and a crown of flowers.
She had been there for an hour or so just watching the people walk by. She was fine with that, conversation wasn’t her strong suit. Soon she got bored with tapping her finger to the beat and being a outsider. She pushed off the wall and headed to the coat check. She didn’t know why she thought bringing a jacket down from her room would make her stand out less but she had done so. Glad at her fore thought she pulled in on and went out to the steps out front. She sat down with a sigh and lit a smoke. The little poison sticks thrilled her much to her doctors dismay.
She watched as the small puff of smoked wised through the are as she exhaled. She watched as the cars passed through the damp night with a smile. The quiet was welcome after the loud music inside. Slowly she started humming Downtown, New York always reminded her of the song. She was currently alone right? Who would mind if she did so?

Kyle wack at the poking hands, waving his hand frantically around to stop any of them from coming closer. There was no way this was happening. It was a hallucination. It has to be, because he certainly did not just watch a boy’s head passed through a wall and the girl that was throwing up fire? Fake. All fake. He was dreaming. When he open his eyes he would be in his room and on his bed. On his bed.
Cracking opening his eyes, he glanced up to the faces of the girl and boy. He screeched and staggered back, reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a crumbled piece of paper and opened it up. He pushed the paragraph of bible phrase at the two. “Power of Christ, I don’t know the words, but holy shi- poop! Something!” He shouted as his hand frantically did the cross signs.

Kyle slumped forward when the girl turned around again, flipping her off behind her back with his tongue sticking out. He pulled back in disgust as the taste of the mask hits his tongue. Spitting, he scratched at the mouth of his mask and groaned. “Stupid, fucking, shit.”
He hadn’t even notice the building until the girl pulled him in. The security guard at the front didn’t seem to be fazed when the two walked in. He glanced at the girl’s lip a little too late, catching only the last part of what she had said. “What?” He threw his hands out in confusion. “You brought me to Covergirl or something?”

He jumped as the girl suddenly spun around, spouting some nonsense before turning back around again. He nearly missed what was said, blinking rapidly in confusion. Seriously, talking to the girl is so stressful. What the hell did he got himself into?
“Uh, okay,” he replied lamely, not really sure what to say at this point.

“Because you’re a human,” he repeated in what he hoped sounded like a child’s voice, because this girl is a child. Damn child. “Yeah, yeah, little old human me is insignificant to great old dragon you.” He pointed at her with a rolled of his eyes, thanking god again for the mask hiding his face.
He followed her out, flashing up his hand in a shooting web motion when he saw a couple of kids passing them. He could never hear the words or laughter coming from people’s mouth but the look on their face alone already means more than enough for him. He gave a small salute to the smiling kids before following close behind the playboy bunny dragon.
