Daily sketch - revisiting week 1 exercise of drawing a crumpled up piece of paper. I set out with the best of intentions for this exercise but really couldn’t cut it. I just don’t know what I am getting wrong! I think it’s perhaps that I am not seeing the detail and need to take my time so it unfolds similar to the palm drawing.

Daily sketch - first attempt at drawing a sheer/transparent fabric. I think i achieved the desired look here by drawing the faint outlines of the objects behind it and the shape of the curtain and by flecking that with vertical lines. Simple yet surprisingly effective!

Homework - a recreation of a light study with my diorama. I used a filter of lines cut out on paper and put it in front of my torch. By editing the contrast and exposure to make the black darker it gives my figure a real menacing undertone.
