Today I feel like Amy Adams in 'Julie and Julia', except I'm not living out through Julia Child but through Laura Prepon. With chronic health issues over the past several years, and no medical answer yet, I had to take my health into my own hands. I know I react to gluten and high amounts of sugar, so I read about Laura's journey and thought to give it a try. The recipes sound delicious and the planning is done for you. Today's 'stash' was completed in just a couple hours, and my meals are set for the next three days - with extra to spare for today. I am determined to have more energy, feel better, and look better. Here's to a new positive outlook on health !

I have been struggling with my health the past few years, and no doctor has been able to give me an answer as to the cause. Lupus, MS, Celiacs, B12 deficiency, Fibromyalgia… All questionable, but no one answer seems to fit. After reading this book and talking to some others who are giving it a try, I’m on board. I’m hoping taking away sugars and gluten will help reset my system, and if I have any relief from my symptoms I will know what is causing the problem. It’s been roughly 3 years since all the problems started, and all of my symptoms fit the diagnoses of Candida. A fungus that grows in your intestines, triggered by yeast - what does yeast love? SUGAR! And what is yeast? WHEAT! I will stick to this for the 21 days, but I have a feeling I’m going to adapt this lifestyle for much longer than that. I hate taking medications for something no one can actually diagnose, and in general. I used to be addicted to pain killers, and had a very low point in my life where I could of given up everything. Since I was detoxed, I don’t even want to take Tylenol for a migraine. Hopefully this diet and way of eating will relieve my symptoms and I can never worry about taking a medication again.
