I need y’all to learn how to speak to the people you love better, no amount of anger should have you cursing at somebody you claim to love. Learn to communicate without raising your voice. Learn to love yourself

so I was looking through my old post and saw this. I reblogged this five years ago hoping that I will be happy one day. I was 20 years old, I just graduated in college and was probably miserable with life. I hated my body, I was brokenhearted and didn’t really know what to do with life.

so I decided to print it out and underline the things that I was able to do and the things that I have overcome.

so here I am today, I have tons of dresses right now that I love to wear (I didn’t have the confidence to wear one before), I smile at the little things (yes like babies, flowers, dogs, strangers, etc.) I’ve never been to Europe and America yet but I was able to travel around my country and some parts of Asia, I have never stopped singing, I am not so hard on myself anymore, I am not afraid to speak up, I have stepped out on my comfort zone somehow, AND OH YES I have fallen deeply in love with someone unexpectedly (he still doesn’t know tho), I haven’t forgotten my scars but God is using me right now to share my story as a testimony to inspire people, and lastly, is life easy now? NO, it is not but I have learned to be happy and find my joy in every circumstance in life. 

It may take years, but God is faithful and I promise, it gets better.
