"reblog if __, who wouldn't?"
"if you don't reblog this unfollow me"
"reblog for__ ignore for --"
"who wouldn't reblog this?"
"you have to reblog this"
"no __ will reblog this"
No. Shut up. These statements are not safe for those with moral ocd. Reblogging something or not does not change opinions and actions. It does not define a person. It does not represent beliefs. You can share your beliefs without harming others.

Prologue
A/N: I already posted this on my Ao3 Account (which you can read here), but I don't want it to look like MATFL's on a hiatus, so i'm dropping this whole thing onto my tumblr!

Waddle Dee Town.
2 days prior.
————
The town was particularly…busy today.
Most of the Dees were focused on building that colosseum (despite there being no need for it at the time—Kirby still hadn’t returned yet), and the population was growing every few minutes. Not by births obviously, but by other Waddle Dees who found their way into town saying they had gotten separated by that rift (which wasn’t far from the truth).
Sailor Dee was one of the few that helped rebuild the town. She stood just on top of the lookout post, her hat full of death grip marks—it had been constantly tightened by Sailor out of habit. Her gaze hadn’t left the arch that split the town from the Natural Plains. Not since her little brother, Bandee, walked through that arch with Sir Meta Knight, His Majesty, and Kirby. Not since he promised that they’d be back before evening (“It’s just a quick recon! We’ll be fine, Sailor!”).
But the moon was already starting to rise, and the sky’s hues were a beautiful blend of navy blues and violets. Sailor knew that she wasn’t the only one anxious, however; the Cafe’s lunchtime rush had been nonexistent that afternoon, and everyone was on edge.
Sailor was about this close to telling the rest of town that she’ll leave one of the Meta-Knights in charge when the Dees wandering the square suddenly stopped, and turned a certain direction. Then came the murmurs. Sailor followed their hopeful gazes all the way to that same arch, where four figures were approaching the entrance.
The tallest was unmistakable—King Dedede, his hammer dragging against the grass. Beside him was Sir Meta Knight. Bandee trailed just behind next to Kirby, loosely clutching his spear. The quartet were completely straight-faced, but their eyes were…wrong.
An unfamiliar, glowing haze of red.
Sailor felt her stomach lurch, but she was already walking off the post to them.
Someone pointed. “Hey, look! It’s…” their voice trailed off after noticing the haze as well. “…Great King? Why do they look…different?”
Sailor could feel the pang in her heart now. And yet, she was taking the first step, specifically towards her brother. Bandee would’ve pulled her into a hug by now, followed by a noogie. But there was none of that. Just a vacant, empty stare into her eyes.
Sailor’s voice cracked. “Bandee?”
Before anyone could react, there were shadows behind them. The Beast Pack had returned, and this time, the group was bigger than the previous attack. Awoofys, Buffahorns, Rabiroos were snarling behind them like a wave kept on leashes.
One on the Dream Team’s hands, and the other…
Taking a deep breath, Sailor turned to the other Waddle Dees and shouted, “EVERYONE! STAY C—!”
She could barely finish her sentence before the crows dove into view, carrying those cages.
Hell broke loose.
All the Dees were screaming and running frantically across the town, scattered in every direction. Some tried to hide inside their homes, while others attempted to take shelter under the stalls or behind crates. A few braver ones attempted to fight back by using rocks to fend off the Awoofys, but were eventually surrounded. They were coming too fast.
One of the crows swooped down and snagged a Waddle Dee crouched near the bakery. He screamed out as the cage lifted into the air and disappeared in the clouds.
Another cage lifted away.
And another. And another.
Sailor ran towards the Colosseum’s doors, presumably to get the Meta-Knights, but was stopped by a Buffahorn charging straight for her. The Dee was quick to leap out of the way and counter with a strike straight for the forehead—not hard enough to kill, but to stun.
The Meta-Knights were already gone by the time she burst in. And once she noticed the cages slowly growing into specks in the sky—
SLAM.
“Grr-wanya…”
Sailor didn’t even want to turn—she couldn’t, no thanks to the growling Awoofys circling her. She already recognized the voice, and she knew how quickly she would freeze up if she was able to turn and see her little brother ready to-
…Stop. Think. Assess your situation. You’re surrounded. But you’ve got your spear.
C’mon, Sailor. Sir Meta wouldn’t want you to get caught. Bandee wouldn’t want you to get caught.
Taking a breath, her grip tightened on her spear. Bandee lunged, and all that training on the Halberd paid off. Sailor sidestepped, narrowly avoiding his spear, and swept her own under his feet. Bandee reacted a little too quickly by jumping, and swinging his spear right at her side. Sailor countered that by twisting her weapon to block it. The parry sent a shudder right through her.
“B-Bandee…!” She begged, but the name only seemed to anger him further.
His attacks came faster and sharper, each one leaving her harder to counter. Sailor knew if she slipped even once, it would be over. In the distance, she could hear the sound of Kirby’s inhale, followed by the sound of shooting objects. Sailor could only assume that he was spitting out objects towards the uncultured Dees.
Meta Knight’s blade clanging against a shield—or maybe a rock, she couldn’t be too sure.
Dedede’s hammer slamming against a wall.
Sailor was cut out of her trance by ducking another strike, and shoving Bandee just far enough to regain her breath. The brainwashed Bandee, however, had other ideas. After running back for another parry, Bandee instead kicked under Sailor’s legs, and went in for a punch straight for the ribs. It sent her sprawling againstraight into a cage. A loud, sickening BANG sounded in her ears, followed by a red-hot pain where her head had struck the bars. Her hat wasn’t as sturdy as she thought it was. Sailor struggled to pull herself upright, but her arms felt too heavy and slow all at once.
Then came the unfamiliar sensation of being lifted up. Her vision wavered, shapes shifting into an odd, but weirdly beautiful blotch of colors.
Get up. Get up-
But she couldn’t.
Her gaze drifted beyond the bars, onto the town that was gradually shrinking in distance, until it landed on a speck of orange and blue.
…Bandee…
Her hand twitched toward him.
Then nothing.

I finally figured out Elfilis/Elfilin’s roles in this AU.
They’re still split in half, but…the sides are reversed.

The cutesy, adorable Elfilin is secretly the malevolent half—(aka. what we all thought he was when the Forgotten Land trailer released and we had no idea what was coming).
Meanwhile, the creepy-ass Elfilis is the benevolent half that journeys with Magolor and Marx, albeit leaning a little too much into uncanny valley.
Elfilis is mute, and if it does want to speak, it only uses the voices of those around him (mimicry)—because it never figured out how to speak.
