Due to the ongoing citywide blackout and severe congestion, all major roads and highways are now closed until further notice. Traffic has reached a complete standstill, leaving vehicles unable to move in several directions. Emergency crews are currently working to clear routes for first responders, but at this time, travel is not possible.

Tuesday, August 19,2025: 1:16 AM

This is an official notice from the Los Angeles Emergency Management Department. At approximately 1:10 AM, a citywide power outage struck the greater Los Angeles area. The blackout has affected residential, commercial, and municipal power grids, leaving millions without electricity.

🔴 Key Information:

Cell service, internet, and public transportation are experiencing major disruptions.

Traffic signals are non-operational. Please avoid driving unless absolutely necessary.

ALL Emergency services are operating at limited capacity.

Hospitals are running on backup power. Only life-threatening emergencies will be prioritized. DO NOT FLOOD THE HOSPITAL TO boost from the WIFI or squat. You will be removed from the premises and subject to jail time.

Grocery stores, gas stations, and ATMs may be closed or operating cash-only.

⚠️ Public Safety Guidance:

•Stay indoors after dark whenever possible.

•Use flashlights or candles safely.

•Conserve food, water, and phone battery life.

Report fires, injuries, or emergencies to 9-1-1(expect delayed response)

Be cautious of looting and criminal activity.

All commercial and private flights have been delayed and or cancelled per FAA regulations.

City officials are investigating the cause of the outage. Updates will be provided through radio broadcasts, emergency loudspeakers, and community checkpoints. Please remain calm, look out for neighbors, and prepare for at least two nights without power.
