✦ “Yeah, it’s the least I can do since you always make me happy when you’re around. Your energy is so infectious, after all.” For Byleth, who had difficulty emoting, the overly emotive La Brava was a nice counterbalance.

“What do you feel like eating? Or do you want to get changed first? If this is a date, should I wear something more casual?” It had been a very long time since she’d last been on one.

“That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me!”  She could not help the energy she radiated, she was hardly socialized!  Though, perhaps that wasn’t such a bad thing.

“Perhaps we could get something light?  Sushi, maybe??” While Byleth might’ve felt the need to dress down, La Brava felt she should probably dress up a bit more.  She was in sweats still...

✦ “A maze? Might be fun. That’s in Cotes, right? We could make it for tonight’s run if you want? Wanna grab a bite before that, though? I don’t think tackling a maze on an empty stomach is a good idea.” She handed the phone back after glancing, before patting La Brava on the head.

“My treat, though. I’m the one who invited you, after all.”

“Are you sure?  I feel like you always treat...”  She didn’t want to give off the impression that she took more than she gave.  That’s not what she’s going for here!

“But that does sound like a good idea!”

✦ “Well I’m glad you’re so confident. But it’s a little reassuring to hear that you think that way.” Byleth smiled. She hadn’t expected her to be so enthusiastic? Or maybe she should have?

“Is there an activity you wanted to go to in particular? You must have been looking at the list, right?”

“Sure!!  I was thinking of the maze one.”  La Brava handed her phone to Byleth, as she still had the list opened and stopped on that page.  “I’m more than open to suggestions, of course.  As long as we’re together: I’m happy.”

✦ La Brava didn’t sound like she thought they were actually cute. Byleth knew her own tastes were impeccable in their own way, though.

“You’re talking about SpiraleFES, right? Then why not go on a date with me? I can’t promise it’ll be any fun though. I haven’t had a chance to check anything out this year.”

If she could verbally keysmash, she would, “I-SURE!!!  THAT SOUNDS GREAT!  I’M SURE IT’LL BE PLENTY OF FUN!”  La Brava was...Not very good at this.

✦ Admittedly, she had so many cats because she didn’t have much of anything else going on. She had a few friends here and there, but she’d gotten tired of coming home to a lonely room since she wasn’t exactly friends with her roommates. Byleth had known they were all out for the night though, so the two of them had free reign of the apartment.

“You sell yourself short if you think that you’re an easy person for forget, La Brava.” Muted as her expressions always were, she smiled nonetheless. “You can grab a seat on the couch if you want. Just give me a moment.” The professor was rooting through the bags she’d set down, before eventually pulling out something she’d bought in secret.

She moved to where La Brava was, regardless of where, and held out a tiny box. “Here, to celebrate.” Inside was a phone strap with a silver heart on the end. She’d wanted to find something that might suit her tastes.

“Ok!  Ok!  Don’t gotta me twice!”  Without further instruction, the young woman hopped onto the couch and began to swing her legs.  A pretty cute habit she developed since her feet almost never touch the floor.

When Byleth moved closer to her, La Brava perked up curiously until she was presented with a tiny box.  Was this some sort of marriage proposal?  Was Byleth making the move already?  And La Brava thought she moved fast.  Before jumping to any more further conclusions, she silently took the box, though the blush on her cheeks did indicate some fluster.

“It’s so cute!  I know just the spot for it!”  Well, matrimony crisis aside, she pulled her flip phone out, easily looping the strap in.  “I wish I had known, I would’ve gotten you something too!!”

✦ Byleth flips open her phone for a moment. “Speaking of cute dates…” Before crouching down to show La Brava a photo.

“Aren’t these dates cute?”

“...They’re wrinkly.  But, uh, sure.  They’re cute.”  Byleth was super lucky she’s cute.

“Hmph...A lot of these are cute date ideas...”  She groaned as she scrolled the list of activities to do.

“Not fair.”

Biker settles into his position, crossing his arms. “Well, it’s funny enough to watch some schmucks get hurt and-”

“Wait, did you say die?” He attempts to stay cool, but his composure is clearly shaken a little. “I dunno how funny dying is, man…” This girl’s a lot scarier than he thought she was-!

“Damn, you must’ve been under a rock.”  She quipped as she began to fiddle with some of her camera settings, like upping the exposure.  Because, man, it was pretty damn dark in this gallery.

“No, no.  You misunderstood me.  How they’re dying is funny.”  La Brava expected there was some sort of safety net that kept residents from remaining permanently dead because well...This city would probably be a lot more peaceful.

“Besides, this is going to be the greatest art this museum’s ever going to see!”  Spirale’s very first!  (and hopefully only) cringe compilation (NOT CLICKBAIT!  GONE WRONG!)

“Whoa, I didn’t know you had cats.”  La Brava trailed behind Byleth, an iced coffee in hand to keep herself awake.  “I’m sure I’ve seen way worse.”  She did spend a good amount of her adolescence locked away in her room, so it honestly didn’t bug her too much.

“Eheheh!!  I’m just flattered you regard me so highly!”  The woman hummed as she looked around Byleth’s living arrangements, waiting for any indication that it would be okay to sit.  She didn’t want to be rude.  “Even more so that you remember me, actually.”

✦ “Ah, don’t mind the cats. I just cleaned up.” Byleth had collected five kittens in the past year, all of which were fortunately fairly clean. But the cats weren’t what matter, she had invited La Brava over for a WELCOME HOME party even if it was just the two of them. Having just come through the door with her guest, she placed a bag of groceries full of snacks for the evening on her counter.

“I guess being back in this city isn’t really something to celebrate, but to be reunited with someone you care about is reason enough for me.”

Doing your best to stay out of a situation only goes well until you have to leave the house. Then it becomes your problem, too… and apparently everyone else’s in the damn city. It’s chaos out here. Amidst all the chaos, Biker’s eye is drawn to someone standing off by the side… is she taping this?

“Y'know, maybe I should’ve thought to make something funny out of this earlier,” he says, sidling up to her. “Mind if I watch with you for a bit? It’s better than errands.”

Ah, there’s company now.  Hopefully that wouldn’t draw attention their way...She was pretty good at hiding and going unnoticed thanks to her size alone.  

“Yeah, that’s fine.”  La Brava screwed the camcorder into the tripod.  “I don’t think it’ll be all that exciting, though.  I’m just getting these poor schmucks on film: dying and what have you.”

Sure, she could be helping, but...She’d rather not trifle with the thought.  Besides!  What damage could a whole bunch of artwork really do?

“Uh huh, taxes and the economy. You’re such an impressive little criminal, evading taxes like that!”

“............”  She says nothing.  But instead, looks on in disgust.

“Uh huh?” As if he hasn’t seen other little kids her age pretend to be older than they really are. “Whatever you say. Do you need help finding where you’re going?”

“I’M NOT SOME DUMB KID.  I PAY TA-...I DON’T PAY TAXES.”

While everyone else might be panicking and freaking out over the revelation that they could die...La Brava is well...La Brava!  The island might have stripped her of almost everything, she still had her camcorder of all things!

Any embarrassing display would be caught on her video capture device for her to edit together later.  Those were becoming popular back home...And fame appealed to the woman, to be a viral Spirale star!  What a dream.

“If your danger could not involve me, that would be great!  Get busy dying, c’mon!  This is going to get me SO many hits on SpiraleNET.”
