Daanlevi likers are so real this is true <3 All my thoughts for them are tinged in sadness and angst unfortunately so I'm not so I'm not sure if they're very nice but I'm still always happy to share my thoughts on them lol

When Daan and Levi are walking together Levi always stays at Daan's left to cover the blind spot left by his missing eye (this comes from Our Lady of Orphans and Whores by Lizardon)

Daan makes way too much eye contact for Levi's comfort so he never looks directly at Daan while they're talking but likes watching Daan talk to others. He doesn't really listen to what he's saying but is kind of enchanted by how easily Daan talks and adapts to others

They are both a little obsessed with each others hands. Daan likes how rough, boney and calloused Levi's hands are he'll take any excuse he can get to thumb over them and feel them. Levi likes how soft, steady and gentle Daan's hands are he still can't stop himself from flinching away from touch on instinct but always leans back in and savours it

They both have extremely bad appetites, Levi from the heroin and Daan from a binge eating habit. Since Levi is so underweight and lacking in appetite Daan encourages him to eat more for his health and ends up having to eat more consistently himself too. They share a lot of meals together

They both sleep awfully when they're off substances because they have chronic nightmares and are really light sleepers. Levi is the toss and turn, jolt awake and run away kind of nightmare haver. Daan wakes him up if he notices it happening, or if he's too late he'll find wherever Levi has run off and curled up into a ball on the floor. Bring a blanket and a stack of books and just sit beside him blanket wrapped around them both reading until he falls asleep right there

Levi has a pretty low reading level for an adult due to a mix of the orphanage not exactly teaching very well before being sent off to the military and undiagnosed dyslexia, but he likes books even if he struggles with reading. Daan was almost completely illiterate before being taken in by Eihner at 13 so he sympathizes even if he doesn't like reading. Levi will dog ear pages with words and phrases he doesn't understand to ask Daan to explain them when he wakes up. Daan is always happy to do so but isn't the best teacher he tends to overcomplicate things and make them more confusing by accident

Levi wakes up a 0400 Eastern Union time every single morning without fail, he's gets up quick and is fully awake right from the get go. Daan is not a morning person at all, left to his own devices he will wake up at noon and stay in bed dissasociating for another 5 hours before getting up if nobody is there expecting him to do anything. Since Daan is such a light sleeper Levi ends up waking him up early by just moving around, but he always wakes up to Levi havinh made hot water for tea and turned the lights off with closed curtains in case he's hungover
