So, I bought a Tonner Deja Vu “Moonlit Romance” doll a couple of weeks ago for the express purpose of making myself a modern Sarah-Williams-in-her-ballgown doll. The repaint and head accessories are done! Now… just… the dress.

I was wondering if you could send some help finding two stories. One was a rather long one, oh maybe 90,000 plus words about a fae girl who winds up in Jareth's court. There's this scene where her original mistress finds out she's been with Jareth and wishes her away. This author has a series with Jareth and this OC too. The second fic is about Sarah going to the labyrinth after a few years to try to reclaim Jareth, but he's married to one of the ballroom dancers and has a family he won't leave.
If you know either of these stories, please reply to or reblog this post with the answer!

Lookin for an old fic where Sarah and Jareth are at odds when she pulls a Belle and goes searching when he told her not to. She finds Jareth's room and he's w a random woman and Sarah gets aroused. He notices she's there and works to get her off, when he gets her to scream out he makes the woman sleep and goes to Sarah. She's behind a screen and he noticed the nightgown he gave her. He tells her to get out even though he/she wants him and she runs crying, but they eventually get together. Ideas?

Hello everyone!! So, this question doesn't strictly have to do with fanfictions, it's more like a thing I've been wondering for a while: Do you know whether it is possible for someone to write a novel (or any kind of book) set in the Labyrinth universe and get it published? Like for example recently a novel has been published and it is set in the "Arrow" world from the tv series. Is it possible to do the same thing for Labyrinth? Provided you recognise the original concept is Jim Henson's.
Hi there, mrsavereen!
I just want to preface this by saying I’m not a lawyer. The below is based on my own personal experience/observations and should not be construed as legal advice.
This is one of the ‘sticky’ and inconsistent aspects of fandom. My knee-jerk reaction is to say, no, but it would really depend on a multitude of factors. Being able to publish works set in an established universe seems to depend largely on the creative property in question (unless the work in question is already in the public domain).
I know Henson isn’t exactly averse to expanding the Labyrinth universe, but they are very slow to actually do so and seem to prefer to do so ‘in house’. I think the biggest hurdle would be getting their permission, and I’m not quite sure how you would go about doing so.
I know amazon was (is still?) piloting a program where people could publish completed fanfiction for certain series, and be paid, but this came with a lot of caveats, and only certain properties were eligible.
If you really want to publish your story, it might be safer, with far fewer legal hurdles, to convert it to an original work (Some of the ‘biggest’ examples of original works that have their original basis in fanfiction are “Shadowhunters” books by Cassandra Clare, and the infamous “50 Shades of Gray” trilogy by E.L. James).

Hi! I'm DESPERATELY searching for this Labyrinth fic I once read. Basically, the High King or Faerie King has died, whom Jareth's related to in some weird way. Anyway, High King has never been a woman, but the King's daughter figures she can be made ruler if she kills the male heirs (Jareth & her brother). She kills her brother, tries to kill Jareth but somehow Sarah saves him in the story. At the end Jareth is High King and the Princess turns out to be illegitimate. Message me if you know it!

Quick question, is it ever confirmed that the Labyrinth takes place in the 'Underground?' Besides the 'underground' song in the film, I haven't seen any other evidence to support it, including not in the novel. I'm actually doing an essay on Labyrinth but I'm looking for a reference, either the movie or one of the books, that confirm that it's 'Underground' that it takes place in. I'm thinking I may need to read the manga for that source but I don't want to reference those things in my essay T-T
Hi, Anon!
It is supposed to be left up to the viewer’s interpretation whether the story really happens at all, but as far as the location of the Labyrinth actually being called “the Underground,” I do think that has largely been pulled from the song.
Have you tried watching “Inside the Labyrinth” documentary? It has been a while since I’ve watched it, so I can’t remember if they address that directly, but it might give you some more insights that could help your essay.

Was this one fic where Sarah becomes Queen of the Goblins instead of Jareth removed?
Hi, geisterschloesser , Do you have any other specific details? The story that immediately comes to my mind is One Feather by Xaviere Jade. Is this the story you're looking for?

Do you know of any Sareth fanfictions where Jareth is all flirty and mischievous but of course he truly cares for Sarah?
Hey, Anon!
That's one of my favorite tropes, as well! You could try looking at the blog's recommendations pages: Here and Here. Most of my own Labyrinth fanfiction would also fall under this category.
If anyone has specific suggestions, please reply to or reblog this post!

There's this fic I read way back that I can't find. Jareth and Sarah have an established relationship and she brings Merlin along, but then he dies and Jareth doesn't know how to handle a heartbroken Sarah.

Hi there! Sorry to annoy u but I was wondering if u or any of ur followers could give me some suggestions. I know there's quite a few Labyrinth books, such as the novel and several art books, but I was wondering if anyone could suggest any that gives more insight/details on Sarah? The ones I've seen tend to focus more on the Labyrinth and its creatures, rather than Sarah. Thanks for your time. xx
Unfortunately, our heroine is often overlooked in the official media outside the film itself. I did create a Canon Resource page several years ago, but I haven’t updated it in quite a while.
If you have any other suggestions for anon, please reply to or reblog this post!

Hello there! I remember reading a fic on ff(.)net years ago, I think it was just a one-shot, where Jareth/Sarah are already established, but Sarah is depressed because she will grow old (or something along those lines) and tries to jump out of her window. Jareth comes and saves her before she can fall. Could you help me find this fic again please? Thanks!!
