“SIDNEY?” Gillian approached the director the moment he saw he had a second free of anyone else, still half in-wardrobe from wrapping tonight’s shoot by the bonfire. “Got a second?”

Sidney puts on his nicest smile. Actors. They’re like PUPPY DOGS nipping at his heels. He lifts an eyebrows and says, “I don’t know--do you have my pig-head?” AKA: Quit stealing my props, Gill-boy.

The girl’s glare rested on Will for a long few moments, fingertips drumming impatiently against her glass. Sighing, she relented and shrugged her shoulders dismissively. “Alright; my apologies, Mister Drake. I should have guessed it would be a struggle to convince you. You are a different…” She paused to drain her scotch. “Mm… breed, after all. I know there is little I can offer you.”

Will takes a deep swig from his drink. The drunker he gets, the more his tongue loosens--but really. What’s the point of owning a bar if you can’t drink half the stock every now and then? He’s sure Lachlan is fine...you know...somewhere. He likes to think of the young boy as a metro Eloise. “I used to model, you know,” Will brags. “Back in the day. But as soon as you hit twenty-five, they pull an Old Yeller on you.” He scoffs and glances back at her. “You’re--what. Twenty-one? You still have a couple good years left in you.”
