PTM Final Posting!
I must admit, when I first started out in Project Management I was a little confused and mind boggled! This reaction was huge due to the amount of work that came with the course of course, but also because of the criteria within the course as well. Several of the assignments were rather confusing time after time, but throughout the course I managed to gain a better understanding after retaking it more than once. This class has given me so much vital information just based off the amount of practice used within creating our own personal project for our company. I feel pretty confident in my work for my near and far futures simply because I know that I will be loaded with knowledge and eager to being my journey as another business owner in this world. I managed to learn many lessons from this particular project while working on each assignment. Each assignment taught me how to actually prepare for a major company such as my desired company, HandsOn University which will be the name of my record label. Each and every step that has been provided for me throughout this course will most certainly be utilized to the best of their ability. This will apply to me personally and professionally because of the amount of time that I have spent creating everything from scratch. While preparing and learning more about what I truly want as well as why I truly wanting the things that I wanted.

Executive Leadership
1. Think about what you want your leadership style from the two books we have this month (Greene and Maxwell).
2. Based upon your readings and discussion on the GoTo Sessions each week, state WHY you feel the style you choose is appropriate for you. This can be based upon personality, the industry or job you are hoping to get, and other factors.
Response to Question 1.
After reading through both John C. Maxwell and Robert Greene books I managed to notice several chapters and laws that stood out to me in specific ways based off of my work ethic and personality. While reading Maxwell Chapter 1. “The Definition of Leadership: Influence”I was able relate to the majority of what the chapter spoke about. Influence is one of the biggest tools/assets that I live by on a day to day basis. I have the mentality that focuses on driving others rather than myself more than anything. In my personal opinion, what good is doing good for yourself rather than doing good deeds for others? I thrive on living my life in a positive light in order for me to be a great influence on those around me as well as those that look up to me. Since my childhood days I have managed to influence hundreds of kids, teenagers and adults due to my musical/percussive abilities. In Robert Greene’s 48 Laws of Power, Law’s 2 and 20 mean more to me than the other laws. Law 2 states that you should never put too much trust in your friends and that you should learn how to use your enemies instead. I can relate to this law due to having past experiences with friends and learning from them. Having experiences as such which pertained to business taught me several lessons! Law 20 suggests that we refrain from committing to anyone. This is also relatable because of past experiences. I’ve learned over the course of time that committing to people cause more problems than we believe. Commitment requires true devotion. This means counting on others can turn into a problem simply because others may not be fully committed to helping you achieve your goals or dreams.
Response to Question 2.
I believe that these styles are most fitting for me because each one of them fit my style precisely due to my personality and my industry that I am seeking to become more involved in. My reason for feeling this way is because of hearing what others think of my work ethic and also because the amount of positive feedback that I gain from being a positive role model and huge influence to hundreds of people. Over the course of years, I have gotten so much feedback from other artists, producers and business owners. I strongly believe that these styles will best suit me for all of my future endeavors because of the influence that each style has with my current stage in life.

My name is Lacyona Marie Muldrow. I am 26 years old and I am from Florence, SC. I have high expectations aligned perfectly for both my near and far future which is what motivated me to seek further interest/knowledge in the entertainment business. Full Sail University offers a M.S. degree in the Entertainment Business program and I have reason to believe that earning this degree will surely lead me in the right direction. My intentions are to become one of greatest to the music industry. My current mindset is focused on becoming the CEO of HandsOn Records (my record label). The idea transpired at random one day back in college; I proceeded to write down every single idea that came to mind which I later realized was my business plan for my future company.
