I’ve had art block for a really long time now. Not just any old art block... more like a “I’m quitting art forever” type of art block. Discouragement caused by failure can really affect my self confidence and even my willingness to be an artist. I applied to art schools and got declined by every single one. One of them even gave me a portfolio score of 32/100 (that really raises a girl’s confidence huh??) I felt like I could never be an artist and I was sick and tired of looking around and noticing all the people around me who I felt were much more talented than me. But I’m proud to say that I decided to not let it get the best of me... after over a year of not creating any art, I was feeling quite inspired. I shook it right off like water off a duck’s back. 😊 Anyways, I drew my favourite drag race queen of all time- Jinkx Monsoon. They liked this post when I had it on twitter and let’s just say I cried tears of joy for a night... Anyways, I’m very proud of this work; and pretty happy with the results- considering it’s one of the first things I’ve fully coloured and completed. I hope you like it Jinkx! If you see this, I look up to you so much; I myself am an aspiring performer (starting acting school in September) and I’ll always remember you and your mantra as something that helps get me through the day. ❤️ I love you! @jinkxmonsoon

The inside of the circle was supposed to have blue and green thread forming continents- to make the woman look like the world. Should I make more like this?
