To celebrate the opening of my Etsy shop, I’m doing a giveaway! These are handmade replicas of the gems from Steven Universe designed to be used for your cosplay.

There will be three randomly selected winners. If you win you will get one free gem of your choice and a coupon code for free shipping on a future order. If Garnet or Ruby/Sapphire are selected, you get both gems. Shipping on the prize will be free and ships internationally. It will be shipped 1-2 weeks after the giveaway ends.

**If you have already purchased a gem and then win, you will be refunded for the most expensive gem you have bought.

Hello noodle!I really want to make more fun drug thingy stuff and like stuff of my own, but I'm having some serious lack of confidence when I'm drawing. How do you draw things like faces and heads or even bodies? I hope I'm not being bothering

I’m self taught (and actually drawing is my very recent hobby) I don’t have any cool-professional-art-reference-stuff to offer (sorry, heh). 

To be very honest, i don’t even think those things are that important. 

because drawing is literally a HOBBY and there’s no reason to be stressed out while you’re drawing! your artwork is super cool and no one can judge you, friend. enjoy yourself!

Serious Talk About Animation Kickstarters

John Kricfalusi created a Kickstarter for a short cartoon called “Cans Without Labels.” Over three years later, all that has been released is a short unfinished clip consisting of incomplete animation and layout drawings. John K has failed to deliver the incentive rewards promised to donors.

Frederator Studios created a Kickstarter for “Bee & Puppycat.” And they have not delivered what they promised to donors and viewers. 

That is absolutely not okay. It’s almost disgusting.

“Animation takes time. Animation takes a lot of work.” Excuses, excuses, EXCUSES. 

Animation college students produce more work with more quality, in less time, than these Kickstarters. People like Emily Youcis, Harry Patridge, hotdiggedydemon, and Ralph Bakshi have made their own films with little to no help, using programs like Patreon and Kickstarter to make it easier to complete their projects. Look at what Richard Williams has been doing entirely on his own. THEY delivered. The “loop-de-loop” indiegogo campaign? It delivered. 

Nobody is talking about this abuse of an otherwise great system. Nobody is talking about how seasoned professionals have swindled innocent animation fans out of their money by breaking promises and failing to deliver.

It’s gross. I want to know what’s happening with “Cans Without Labels” and “Bee & Puppycat.”

UPCOMING ANIMATED FILMS OF 2016

where do you get your pastel colour palettes from :o

my coloring process is really simple rn so i’ll do my best to explain it ✎

1. i make all my lineart with a pixelated square brush in black

2. i magic wand and fill in my flat colors ~ these are just eyeballed from whatever colors i’m referencing, or just whatever i think looks nice together!

3. i create a new levels layer above the flat colors (explained in #4 ↴)

4. levels are created for whatever layer is highlighted by clicking this circle thingy and selecting levels!

5. i’ll usually turn up blue layers by selecting “blue” from the top bar, then dragging the middle arrow towards the left

6. to make a more purple/reddish effect, i’ll drag the green arrow to the right

i lighten the black lineart to a gray and here’s what we get! i really hope this helps, if you have any more questions then ask away! good luck my lil artists ✌
