Coming back to this with:

House Bolton much like the Yronwoods siding with Daemon Blackfyre, and all the male members of the house either die during the rebellion or are sentenced to death by Daeron II Targaryen, leaving only the daughter of the late lord of Dreadfort to take charge of her House.

Lady Bolton who’s rumored to be a shapeshifter who can become a bat and a sorceress getting betrothed to Lord Bloodraven by order of the King to ensure her loyalty only for her to become infatuated with Lady Shiera Seastar.

Had a very random thought of Daeron the Drunken marrying a Redwyne girly because... it seems like a fun pairing in my head... maybe she even takes him to the arbour to do some wine tasting, bonus points she's also bi and very much into kiera of tyrosh or daenora targaryen.

Also had a thought of Aerion marrying a noble girl from Lys? maybe from House Rogare? coming back home with kids and maekar goes "Wtf Aerion... I sent you there to reform and you come back with a wife and kids!?"

Oh and a Bolton lover for Shiera Seastar + Bloodraven.

Now am I the only one who wondered if Shiera just didn’t trust Bloodraven enough to marry him? Or perhaps she liked him but not as much as he did her

“A brother I loved, a brother I hated, a woman I desired” it is so odd to me that there’s love, then hate them desire. As if his affections for her weren’t pure and unadulterated like you’d expect the affection of a man who proposed 50 times.

They remained lovers, had many things in common, even if she didn’t wed him, he wasn’t even her sole lover, she had multiple other lovers and she knew he couldn’t bare it and it amused her.

I wondered if Shiera had her own reasons to not marry him beyond she’s free spirited and want to be free of bonds. The trauma of knowing her father was married yet it didn’t stop him from siring her (which caused her mother death) aside, I wonder so much more about her.

Would she marry for someone she trusted?

Was Brynden her favourite or the one who didn’t have enough self respect to leave? (I love Shiera, that’s my sweetie pie but I would have left after the first no😭 heck even after the first flirting with someone else😭 I am NOT built for clown shit).

What Brynden wishes to change since he said he tried to speak to them through the trees?

personally i see shiera as a woman who knew what was what. she knew she was desired, and beautiful and used that to her advantage, but the thing is she was still a "bastard born woman" so she knows that no matter what happens no noble man is not going to give her the amount of respect they give noble woman, mostly due to the fact that if they offended noble woman they have to deal with her noble house and family but shiera had none, her mother was from a fallen house in Lys, so these noble men could even kill her and no one will hold them accountable for it, and maybe it was even a bit funny to her seeing all these men fighting for a chance to marry her toom

I think the reason brynden was her favourite lover was because they're in a similar situation as bastards, plus like you said they had things in common and that's what led to romance.

the reason she didn't marry him I honestly have no clue and any speculation is just personal opinions tbh. Also we never know if Brynden himself kept any lovers or not? Mayhaps they had a poly arrangement or smth? Because I agree with you on how he stayed dispute seeing her take multiple lovers, and just the fact that he's a man in a very very very patriarchal society...

I think particularly shiera's scared that after officially committing to him or any man they'll do a 180 and change their attitude towards her, and yes I agree it could also be due to her own father and how he was as a person lol

I'm also not someone who thinks Bloodraven is a hero. He seems to have a dark side to him and some of his actions are questionable. Maybe Shiera also saw this and went "hmm...you know what I don't fully trust you babe..."

mentioned something in this post before about shiera/brynden with a bolton lover.

i hc house bolton during the blackfyre rebellion supported daemon blackfyre much like how the yronwood's went against their martell overlords.

basically all the men of house bolton are put to death during or after the blackfyre rebellion so dreadfort goes to the surviving daughter of the previous lord bolton, and king daeron ii targaryen as a way to reward brynden rivers for his loyalty tells him "hey bro why don't you marry lady bolton? and your kids with her will be the next lord's of the dreadfort!" but it's more so to ensure the north's stability than anything else lol

hence brynden married lady bolton but the plot twist is that she's totally into shiera lol and feelings are mutual.

According to the way they adapted Fire and Blood in House of the Dragon, we can probably expect some changes in Dunk and Egg:

Dunk is actually the long lost son of Daemon Blackfyre and Dornish Daenerys Targaryen (y'know because EVERYONE has to have their parents explained)

Egg will not be loyal to Dunk, he'll be a total scumbag

Maekar DID kill Baelor on purpose.

Before Baelor dies he whispers that Egg should be King and Dunk must immediately be named a Kingsguard.

Aerion will commit like one actrocity and then get a redemption arc.

Bloodraven and Bittersteel are estranged lovers (this could work) and all this is a bitter divorce
