If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?
Causing alarm and scandal because of drinking too much alcohol, went through levels of getting hammered…danced the night away, hogged someone’s place in the dance floor, fought and then it got me into trouble.

Section 2. Per track reaction Track # 6. The Benefits of Heartbreak (feat. Lee Su Hyun) Lyrics/Romanization [x]
General Comments This song literally passed by while I was doing my first listen for this album. It’s a subdued song, quite simple, chill, R&B vibe, not much of a stand-out but.. I got hooked when the translated lyrics came out! It’s an open ended, sad track. One that depicts a “moving on process” wherein for that person’s point of view, everyday was a struggle, feeling like time stood still but needs to keep a facade on the outside; going thru the everyday motions of life. Keeping busy, doing the tasks that was abandoned during their time together, going out, getting listless, “tomorrow is a rerun of today. Realizing that there’s benefits of being broken hearted, but it will never change the fact that there is nothing left except for time that is rushing and that person is left asking what is it that he/she is living for.
I like how the 2 rappers tell 2 separate coping mechanisms to get thru a heartbreak, but it all winds up and falls when the hook comes; like you do these things to cope but then at the end of the day you ask yourself what are you living for.
For me, the word ‘benefit’ in the song title can be compared to a band aid, a temporary remedy to a sustained wound, but we all know wounds heal right?
Favorite Line “The moment your hands left mine, they were replaced by the rushing hands of time” (Tablo, 1st verse)
“Why am I like this? What do I live for? Are you like this? Why me? (Su Hyun, Hook) “Tomorrow is a rerun of today.” (Mithra, 2nd verse)

Hey you, my Parallel Line
In the course of my journey, where I took a turn and started anew, I have met you. And as time passed and never in my sane mind thinking it would occur, my feelings toward you changed.
You have grasped a place in my heart, and despite my utmost denials, I held onto you, never really understanding why.
For me: I wanted to be "your" somebody, That being nice to you makes me happy, Talking to you about silly things, noticing little things that connects you and me makes me happy, Fleeting, everyday moments with you was...happy.
Blurring the lines, well, I wanted it. God knows I really do. I wanted to connect me to you. In my mind, there was a bridge, And it was made up of fleeting things, white lies, false hopes and daydreams of moments that might be. I was hoping you would meet me halfway, but that’s the thing about hope, it makes you desperate, makes you wish and pray a little harder...but heartbreak slowly crept up and knocked.
The time has come for me to make a choice.
And I chose to burn the bridge. Nice and slow; thinking I should stop before I get caught up with it further. Because it was making me unhappy.
The bridge that was made up of fleeting things? That was just me and the daydreams I built. In the end, the bridge of becoming you and me, never existed, It was just a blur. A big, painful blur.
To me: I created a ghost of you; my daydream turned nightmare. You are “that” somebody who made me lose a chink of my heart, Those fleeting moments haunt me whenever I see you walk, talk, smile, And everyday moments with you became nothing but a... sad heartbreak.
There was no turning back.
In this journey where I took a turn and started anew, I have met you. We are two people who came from different places, bound to meet for a purpose but are never meant to intersect.
We are just like two parallel lines, Always running on the same course, but will never collide. Even if the lines blur we remain the same distance apart, Our lines would never cross, no points, no intersections..
None.
So hey you, my precious parallel line, Until I take another turn, I'm going to stay running with you. I'm going to continue writing our story, but there won't be a blurred line, fleeting feelings, or a bridge. I’m saying goodbye to that.

Epik High’s released its 9th studio album entitled “We’ve Done Something Wonderful” and features artists such as IU, Song Mino (Winner), Oh Hyuk, Lee Hi, Lee Suhyun, Crush, and more. Release Date: October 23, 2017 Members: Tablo, Mithra Jin, DJ Tukutz Total Tracks: 11 Genre: R&B Hiphop Title Tracks: “Love Story” & “Home is Far Away” Album Teaser/Sampler Reference source [x]
Over All Rating: 5 stars Lyrics Impact: 2 stars Instrumentals: 1 star Overall Feel: 1 star Lainee’s Special Star/s: 1 star
General Impression I loved it! Since I’m an Epik High biased this album is automatically given 1 star .
Lyrics Impact: I’ve always been a fan of how Tablo and Mithra weaves their words in their songs. The album’s lyrics explore themes of sharp-i don’t-give-a-damn about what society thinks, to heartbreak and coping mechanisms, to the realities of the world and imparting messages of wisdom. It’s a mixture. You get to pick a songs that resonates in you most.
Instrumentals: Epik High (special mention DJ Tukutz) for the win! If you are a fan of hard R&B Hiphop beats then this album can be your jam. Just a sentence: They keep it simple but real good.
Overall Feel: Like I said I loved it, rain and all. I like how the album color reflects its total feel, which is gray. It’s chill but sharp. It’s ambiguous and ironic but represents reality. There are a few tracks that you need to understand the context to get their message, and there are a few relatable tracks that pierce you to the heart. They are doing what they are good at and guess what? It is really something wonderful.
Lainee’s Special Awards Favorite Track(s): Here Come the Regrets; The Lost One Dark Horse Track(s): Home is Far Away; The Benefits of Heartbreak

[RandomQ] A song that defines the teenage you?
Numb by Linkin Park. “Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow.” I held on to this song like a candle in the dark; like a balm, helping me get through the rough patch, slowly, one day at a time, understanding that somewhere, somebody knows how lonely the struggles feel and despite all, better days are coming.

Introducing my new section: “Lainee’s Random Questions” where I answer random questions I find in the internet. This could vary from totally stupid to existential level questions about almost…guess what? ANYTHING! I’ll try not to be emo or soppy sad because I tend to to that ALL the time. Research is being done and this shall be posted intermittently (depends on my laziness meter). Looking forward to it! Excited!

10 days ONE OK ROCK Challenge [10/10] What’s your favorite ONE OK ROCK era?
For me it’s the period between Niche Syndrome and JinseixBoku=. I think this is where the band was at its best in terms of their image/brand, sound, influence, works.Their songs speaks volumes of their experiences. Their instruments, evident in each piece (you can clearly hear the 3 of them playing, not discounting the silent workers who helped them). Also, for me, Taka’s voice in this era sounded the best. They were being raw, passionate and not over produced, just the right mix, the kind that makes you want to root for them to reach the highest pinnacle possible of their dreams.

10 days ONE OK ROCK Challenge [9/10] Your favorite live performance(s).
Liar. ONE OK ROCK 2015 “35xxxv” Japan Tour. I teared up after watching it. I don’t know, maybe because I discovered that the delicious heavy sound that I loved was from Ryota’s bass, and Taka's display of raw passion (so good). And of course Tomoya, displaying his drumming skills (the rhythm and the multiple drum set parts he was playing was lit, his is my favorite part). I got scared of Toru there because he got way too intense. So yeah. After that I promised myself that I will attend and watch their live concert-no matter what.

10 days ONE OK ROCK Challenge [6/10] Something you like about Tomoya.
His drumming skills are so fine. He inspires me. And he has such a big heart for everyone. Out of the four, the first person that I liked 100% when i followed the band was him, this smiling and outgoing big brother of the band.

10 days ONE OK ROCK Challenge [5/10] Something you like about Ryota.
His “idiosyncratic” grasp of the English language (as written in this Rocksound article[x]), and his adorable eye smile. He just looks like an edgy, scary individual but in reality he’s this soft, funny and always smiling person. Like when he starts to talk you’ll wonder why he became a rock star because his personality suggests otherwise.

10 days ONE OK ROCK Challenge [4/10] Something you like about Toru.
His handsomeness. Toru is very handsome when you see him in person. It may not reflect on his photos or interviews (because he always has this poker faced/ bored face expression) but he is really handsome in the flesh. Mesmerizing! I’m a believer.
