This is something that's been on my mind for a bit, but is there anything Marinette is technically bad at? Stammering around Adrien doesn't count, and the only thing I can think of is Frozer, where Marinette needed Luka's help to skate.

She's an expert gamer, apparently an amazing baker, a fashion virtuoso, a mechanical engineer (her diary box and her sewing kit with the Miracle Box in it), a perfect leader, an incredible artist, the best Guardian, and God knows what else. She was even able to adapt to different miraculous powers, have little trouble fighting with new weapons, and just acquire new skills in a snap. Literally, during Kagami's debut episode, she was also able to adapt to fencing really easily.

The question is, are there any instances that at least prove me wrong? I hope so, because Marinette has always struck me as the kind of protagonist where they just slap on skill after skill as the plot requires, and my opinion on this show is already so low....

Well, she does struggle to speak Mandarin Chinese, so that's something.

There's a lot of untapped comedy potential on the idea of Khun helping Rachel around while she pretended to be handicapped

"Accidentally" hitting her head agains the bedrest while helping her get in bed

Drawing her a bath that's too hot

Leaving things just out of the reach of her wheelchair in places where there are too many people for her to stand up

To be absolutely fair, talkative Ridley was cool in the manga

To be less fair, I don't trust them to do "Cunning God of Death" Ridley and not just Death 2.0

Can you imagine the Netflixvania crew doing Metroid "Well, we loved the games but Mother Brain, Ridley and Raven Beak were bland and boring so we changed them completely, also you can't complain about all the sex we added because the Zero Suit already brought in the horny"

The main difference between the CV fans and Metroid fans is that the latter abhor boobs like they personally killed their parents

Samus would not be sexualized. On the contrary, she would be redesigned to be a square-shouldered giant, with a buzzcut, covered in scars even though logically the suit should protect her, and no chest to speak of. That's what the fans want :)

Aside from that, I can imagine MB being removed because "she's stupid" and Ridley being reimagined as 1) being extremely talkative, and 2) vomiting swearwords at the speed of sound to be "cooler"

Found you looking for Anti Netflixvania posts and I have to say, man am I glad they skipped Simon, now the GoS characterization will forever be the only one I have to see of him, that said, I dread the thought of them adaption Order of Ecclesia, I don't trust them to do the adoptive siblings' relationship any justice

As soon as I heard about Nocturne, I immediately guessed they only cared about Alucard, the fanfavorite of both fandoms

The Nocturne S2 trailer gives me the impression I was right :^) and their next shot will be Aria :^) it's all about that pandering, guys :^)

From what I've seen, Simon is mostly popular among the older crowd, the Classic fans who grew up with CV1 - and they like him because he's the first one and he's so cool, not really for his characterization like Alucard fans do. They are not the target audience in any way.

An adaptation of CV1 and 2 would be too much hard work for these hacks because now they actually have very little to work with, and for what? No dhampir breasts? Not worth it.

(I'm also shaking and crying that Shanoa will be shoehorned in future seasons at any moment. Maybe with a haircut. I'm screaming just at the thought my poor girl 😭)
