Today I made some "pesche ripiene" (peaches filled with amaretto biscuits and dark chocolate 70%) for my family. I'd have loved to take a pic but my brother kinda ate them all so yeah, I can only show you a pic from the internet:
The one I follow it's probably not the real and actual Piemontese recipe (yes, it's a typical Piemonte's dish fom what I know), but my mother, who is not a huge fan of amaretto biscuits, appreciate it too, so I stick with this version (honestly one of the many that you can find online. Sadly I cannot recall the one that my grandma used to follow, but it was pretty close to this one).
If you want to try it, here's what I do: Take around 80-100g of amaretto biscuits and grind them. Then take 3-4 peaches (better if they're not too ripe), cut them in half, remove the kernel and add the pulp to the amaretto biscuits. Grind and blend it all together. Put a chocolate bar (100-120g, cut it into smaller pieces) in a bowl and put it on a small pot filled with boiling water, so to make the chocolate melt and have basically a fluid chocolate. Remove the bowl from the boiling water and wait a little for it to turn lukewarm. Add the mix of amaretto biscuits and peaches to it, and blend it all together with a spoon. Put the half peaches on a baking tray with parchment paper, fill each of them with one/two spoons of the blend. You can cover each peach with some hand-crumbled amaretto biscuits if you like to (I don't do this on each of them cause my mother may not like it). Put it in the oven, 200°C for 10 minutes (you just need to make the peaches a little more soft... according on how ripe they are, you may leave them inside the oven a little more). And that's all.
Buon appetito!

Brutally Honest Rules for Language Learners
If you can`t make your own examples to a grammar rule, you don`t know this grammar rule.
Learning words without context is almost useless. You may repeat something like “road” or “deeply” millions of times and still forgetting them in the most important situations. Memorize phrases instead. e. g. “I crossed the road” and “to be deeply ashamed”.
Prioritize. There are almost 500 000 words in the English language and even more in some non-European languages. If you decide to learn 5 words a day, you`ll need a shitload of time to cover at least the third of the whole vocabulary. So, know precisely what words are the most frequent and the most important for you personally.
No, you won`t learn a language by listening to songs ONLY.
If your level of knowledge is Intermediate or higher, you don`t need the fucking subtitles. Well, in the beginning, you will have a terrible headache and doubts about the whole thing, but every video will be making you a little better. You`ll slowly get used to the accents and intonation. It`ll stop to sound like the endless phrase without any pauses. Just give yourself some time.
Translation from the native language to the target language is useless (if you`re not going to become an interpreter). Write the short texts in your target language instead.
Forget about boring topics from the textbooks. Argue with somebody in the comment section under your fav YouTube videos. Try to persuade me that the Earth is flat (I know it`s insane, but you`ll remember it much better than writing the essay “The current problems of ecology”). Rewrite your own posts. Write down 15 phrases do describe Donald Trump. I mean… Everything is better than a standard way of learning that doesn`t express your inner self.
Check the pronunciation of ALL the words. ALL the time. Your intuition is a great tool. However, it doesn`t cure all the irregular cases. Just look at English words “daughter” and “laughter”, “head” and “heat”, “though” and “thought”. They look almost similar but they sound in ABSOLUTELY different ways. There`s a possibility that your target language also has a lot of such cases. Just spend few seconds on looking at the transcriptions. It doesn`t hurt, I promise.

CASES IN CROATIAN
Cases are one of the things that makes Croatian a difficult language. It’s something that confuses foreigners. It’ll probably confuse you too, but over time it somehow comes to you and becomes easier.
Ok, now that I have made Croatian even less “attractive” and “interesting” , let me dive into the rules and when to use each. Soon I’ll make a post about endings for every case :)
There are 7 cases: nominativ, genitiv, dativ, akuzativ, vokativ, lokativ, instrumental. - i’ll include also questions for each case which helped us when we were learning it as we were little, not guaranteering it’ll help you, since english really lacks vocabulary.
NOMINATIV tko? što? who? what? - this is case for subjects in the sentence. ex. Ona je moja sestra. She is my sister.
GENITIV koga? čega? whom? which? - partialness, rupture, distancing, characteristic PREPOSITIONS with genitiv: bez - without blizu - close/near duž - along ispod - under izvan - beyond/ out of/ outside pokraj - next to prije - before protiv - against umjesto - instead of s - from ex. Umjesto jogurta, kupit ću brašno, jer bez brašna ne mogu napraviti tortu. Instead of yoghurt, I’m going to buy flour, because we can’t make the cake without flour. Qualitative genitiv ex. Dečko plave kose. A guy with/who has blonde hair. Here genitiv in our language replaces with/who has with genitiv. !! We can also say “Dečko s plavom kosom” / “Dečko koji ima plavu kosu” ; the third way would be using genitiv.
Possessive genitiv ex. Pas moje susjede. My neighbour’s dog. Using genitiv when wanting to express that something is someone’s.
DATIV komu? čemu? whom? what? orientation towards something, aspire after/to, crave or strive for PREPOSITIONS with dativ: k(a) - towards nasuprot - opposite (to), facing unatoč/usprkos - despite, in spite of
ex. Unatoč ružnom vremenu, idemo na piknik. Despite the bad weather, we are going on a picnic.
AKUZATIV koga? što? who? what? integrity, what is created by action, changes the action or bears the action PREPOSITIONS with akuzativ: kroz - through među - between mimo - past na - on nad - above o - about po - down, on, in, all over pred- before, in front of uz - with, along za - for
ex. Ja sam apsolutno za tu ideju! I am completely for that idea!
VOKATIV oj! ej! - calling someone ex. Hej Marko, dođi! Hey Marko, come!
LOKATIV (o) komu? (o) čemu? about whom/ what? - inaction, stillness, place PREPOSITIONS with lokativ: po - according to/ by.. pri - at, in prema - to, towards, according to u - in
ex. Prema tome, ne bismo trebali otići. According to that, we shouldn’t leave.
INSTRUMENTAL (s) kim? (s) čim? with whom, with what? - the means which is used to do something !! When instrumental describes a means, then “s” IS NOT used ex. Idem busom svaki dan u školu. I go by bus every day to school. !! When instrumental describes a person, then “s” IS used. ex. Idem s Martinom svaki dan u školu. I go with Martina every day to school.
If a noun starts with s, š, z or ž, then “sa” is used. ex. Razgovor sa Sarom mi uvijek pomogne. Talking to Sara always helps me. These are some really basic things about cases. As one can see, one preposition can go with more cases, so it can depend on the context. It often depends on the context. Over time, it comes naturally, but it’s difficult at first. If someone notices any mistakes, please let me know, so I can correct them as soon as possible. Also, as I said, I’ll make a post about endings for each case soon, so these cases can be put in sentences. :) I hope someone finds this useful
