Ik weet niet nu wat mijn droombaan is, maar ik weet dat ik iets praktisch met mijn taalbekwaamheden wil doen. Misschien ga ik vertolker of vertaler worden maar ik heb niet deze banen ooi geproefd, dus weet ik niet als ik hen wil doen. Vroeger wilde ik een acteur worden en ik wilde in het theater werken, in de musicals optreden. Hoewel het een hobby van mij is, denk ik dat ik het niet doen ga omdat het een concurrerende industrie is en het is moeilijk een baan vinden.

Wat is je droombaan? Is dat altijd dezelfde baan geweest, of wilde je vroeger iets anders doen? Denk je dat je ooit echt deze baan zal hebben?

Sinds ik naar Amsterdam ging, heb ik naar Nederland willen verhuizen omdat ik van de cultuur hou en ook vind ik de huizen heel schattig. De Nederlandse cultuur is niet zo verschillend als de Britse, dus denk ik dat ik me zou kunnen aanpassen. Ik zou graag ook in Spanje wonen maar er is een groter verschil tussen de culturen van Spanje en van mijn moederland maar ik vind de tapas en de siësta leuk dus zou ik er graag wonen.

In mijn land is het ook tijd om terug naar school te gaan, het nieuwe schooljaar begint volgende week. Ik ga nog nooit naar school omdat ik vorig jaar van school ben afgegaan, maar binnenkort ga ik naar de universiteit. Ik heb een tussenjaar gehad dus kan ik niet wachten om weer te studeren. Toen ik in school was, heb ik Spaans, wiskunde en Engels het leukst gevonden, en nu ga ik Spaans studeren op de universiteit. Vroeger haatte ik wetenschap en geschiedenis omdat ik ze saaie vakken vond

Het is tijd om terug naar school te gaan in Nederland en België. Hoe zit dat in jouw land? Ga jij nog naar school? Wat heb je gestudeerd/wat studeer je? Welke vakken vind je het leukst en welke haat je?

Ik luister graag naar de radio du hoor ik veel pop muziek, maar ik hou ook van oudere muziek zoals de vroege muziek van Beyonce en Avril Lavigne. Ik luister liefst naar de musicals zoals Wicked en mijn nieuwe lievelingsmusical is Everybody’s Talking About Jamie omdat de muziek erg zo leuk is. Waneer ik aan het rijden ben, zing ik luid met de radio of met de muziek van mijn mobieltje. Want ik de musicals leuk vind, ken ik sommige Nederlandse muzikanten, maar ze zijn hoofdzakelijk musical-sterren zoals Chantel Janzen, Carolina Dijkhuizen, Ferry Doedens en mijn favoriet is Willemijn Verkaik.

Vertel ons over je favoriete muzikanten! Ben je ooit naar een concert gegaan? Wat is je favoriete genre? En wie is je favoriete Nederlandse/Vlaamse muzikant?

Vroeger keek ik vaak tv, maar nu heb ik niet genoeg tijd om hem te kijken. Ik kijk liever films op mijn laptop; ik heb en Netflix rekening dus ik kan hele films en series kijken. Mijn lievelingseries is La Casa de Papel op Netflix omdat het boeiend is.

Ik heb Nederlands gekozen toen ik sommige mensen van Amsterdam sprak af. Ik heb het een mooie taal gevonden en het heeft me veel geïnteresseerd. Ik leer pas zes manden maar binnenkort ga ik naar de universiteit om het te studeren, dus ik ga het vier jaren doorbrengen leren

Task 2

Ik woon in Engeland, een West-Europees land grenzend aan Schotland en Wales. Het is een eiland dus er zijn veel mooie stranden en kustlijnen. Ik woon in Leeds, één van de grootste steden in het land. Het ligt in het noord van het land, dichtbij andere steden zoals Manchester en Sheffield. Engeland is een eentalig land maar ik zou wensen dat meer mensen andere taal zouden spreken. De andere landen in Verenigd Koninkrijk (Wales, Schotland en Noord-Ierland) zijn tweetalig en tegenwoordig spreken meer mensen de inheemse talen. Het weer is gewoonlijk heel slecht en het regent voor de meerderheid van de seizoenen. Af en toe is het warm en deze maand hebben we een hittegolf geleden. Er zijn veel typische Britse monumenten, vooral in Londen zoals Big Ben en The London Eye. Thee is de typische Britse drank maar ik haat de smaak en ik drank liever koffie.

Learndutch.org // Short quick practice tests and vocabulary lists for beginner/intermediate Dutch learners. Requires you to make an account but it is for free and quick and easy to set up.  

Buurtaal.de // A blog in German by a Native Dutch. She posts different articles and has several resources linked on her blog that aren’t just about the language but the culture as well. To find specific things you have to use the search bar or you might have a hard time trying to find certain content. 

Valley-trail.com // Offers everything from beginners to advanced Dutch lessons to conjugation, dictionary and parts of speech etc.

Learnwitholiver.com // You can practice words or full sentences and pick your level of difficulty. Picks random vocabulary and does not go by a certain topic.

Babbel.com // A website like duolingo or memrise, teaches you words and phrases by interaction. 

Learn101.org // Vocabulary lists with audio samples.

Smartphrase.com // A collection of words and phrases for everyday use.

Linguanaut.com // Greetings and introductory phrases.

Cram.com // Dutch vocabulary flash cards

Radiolingua.com // Very quick lessons on the pronunciation of a couple basic phrases. 

Conjugation: 

Verbix.com // Type in any verb and it gives you the conjugations in all the tenses right there for you. Also has a translator in case you need it. 

En.bab.la // You can choose to look through the verbs by letter or search it and it gives you the conjugation in all tenses but there is no English translation.  

Cactus2000.de // List of irregular Dutch verbs. 

Cooljugator.com // Another verb conjugation tool. Has a list of the most commonly searched and used verbs so it is a nice guide for beginners to start off with. 

Heardutchere.net // A list of 60 common verbs used in Dutch. Includes the audio with correct pronunciation by a Dutch speaker. (Includes reflexive and strong verbs).

Ielanguages.com // A quick run down on the present tense with a couple examples.

Verbos.eu // Pick a tense and a verb (or multiple verbs) and practice its conjugation. 

Grammar:

Dutchgrammar.com // Free grammar lessons about word order, pronunciation, usage of verbs/nouns/adjectives as well as other resources for books and audio in Dutch (some are free some you have to pay for).
