If anything the tank at least makes a good background for the minis

All done with the backpack for the Monument [Repair Type]
Always a little nerve racking when it comes time to put the thing back together, did I lose a part, did I crack some, are the joints still mobile, fortunately this bit went together smoothly.
A Decent amount of "Hidden" paint on this one besides the normal inner frame stuff, lots of little details like cables and such on the thrusters.
I might go in and hand paint the inside of the lower thruster cover, you can see more of it than I expected and while the overspray as got it close to looking intentional, I might want to just give it a quick touch up.
Unfortunately you can barely see it in this light, but I think I managed to get a really nice shade on the "black" parts without them looking too grey (The grey parts here are actually grey)
And another shot of the backpack

OK, hobby update:
Got the backpack assembled (this was a week ago but I forgot to post it)
And disassembled.
Got this little guy printed and started working on a base.
And primed. Probably should have spent longer cleaning this up but some of the issues weren't really visible until I got the primer on.
Found this figure from Mad's Minis shortly after the Oraxia reveal for Warframe and @artoflisamorgan said they'd like to paint her up to match, so I got her zenithaled today as well.
Spent some time this week working in Fusion and learning the ropes, I made this shield generator greebly to attach to Piper Makes T'au Drone proxies
And with all that done I also painted some of the inner frame for the 1/60 Tallgeese backpack today
I've got a whole week off work and I want to get as much as I can done on the Monument repair now so I can be ready to start my entry for this years Cerulean Project. (Speaking of which the book came this week, but that gets its own post)

And the work is pretty much done on the arms
I wanna give it another quick coat of gloss to protect the panel line as its water based rather than enamel, but I can take care of that in a few minutes next time I have the airbrush going.
Not quite as much hidden paint as the legs, but still some nice details tucked away inside.
I really like the way the weapon armatures lock in place when stowed, very nice touch.

More Rui. Yes, pretty sure I would consider him my bias at this point, mostly because I love drawing him. But honestly? All of the members are great.

I actually gave printing a revised version of my hammer a shot today, didn't go quite as well as planned. I lost 3 parts that didn't adhere not sure if I need to level the plate again or if I just need to up the bottom layer exposure.
The other issue is fitment, now as I was just bashing this out with like a weeks worth of practice I didn't spend too much time thinking about tolerances, I just cut registration marks using the other parts as tools and of course, they don't fit. I'm thinking they may be over exposed based on how faint the pattern is on these grip parts so before I spend too much time faffing around with the parts themselves, I might just reprint them as is with a higher bottom exposure and lower normal and see what kind of luck I have.

Atomic Heart

So @lapsedpacifist printed some resin minis for me, and I have started painting. I am not familiar with Atomic Hearts, which is where this figure is from, but I loved the vibe, so I wanted to paint her. I say paint, but I've actually used inks for this. And a little watercolor paint.

Awhile back you had inspired me to pick up the MG Justice Gundam; I recently put it together and enjoyed the process but thought it was a bit easy. Being a glutton for punishment, I bought the Fortune Meow mod kit for it. Just wanna say thanks for being a creative force on Tumblr, and for being inspiring ha ha.
Thank you, that may be one of the nicest "asks" ive ever received. I can't wait to see what you do with the Fortune Meow kit, the photos I've seen look amazing.

My original plan for today had been to get some more work done on the Monument [Repair Type] but after trimming the hedges my arms felt like spaghetti and didnt feel like it would be fun to try and paint accurately with the airbrush. So I primed the Girls from the Hex.
I had worried that I had over exposed these prints as the detail seemed a little soft, but a good prime seems to have done the trick.
I also messed around with this guy. I was trying for a metalic, almost candy effect i'd seen someone do for Heresy era Blood Angels, but this is far too dark. I realised after I was about half way through layering up the clear red that they used gold, not silver. Not sure if I'll strip this one or reprint it.
