#утро 💛 и его #прелести 💛 В последнее время утро стало любимым временем суток. Просыпаясь в 6 утра, бодрячком бежишь делать зарядку, душ, а потом самое любимое - еда!) в предвкушении создать что-нибудь "эдакое" для себя и любимого - получаю кучу энергии и позитива 💃 плюс ко всему - утро это завтрак. А завтрак - самый желанный приём пищи за день 💞 Честно признаться вечером, после работы я становлюсь ленивцем и абсолютным пассивом - мне хочется подремать, поваляться под какой-нибудь фильм или же почитать полезную (для меня) литературу. Firstly, when choosing idols for a group debut, the criteria of visual selection considered by the company aren’t fixed and monotonous, especially for those who are considered to be the visual of the group; not only does the visual need to comply the common standard of beauty, but they also must have colourful and even conflicting auras, so that by changing makeup and hairstyles, their aura could shift to better fit the style of the title track during each comeback. 

(I’ll) detail PCY’s facial features first.

Eyes

Park Chanyeol’s eye shape is big and round, his double eyelids wide and deep, they are not the parallel double eyelids which have recently been quite popular; they are the fan-shaped (tn: tapered) double eyelids that are more tender and oriental, the ends of the eye flicking upwards every so slightly. When you first see such eyes, you would notice the round shape which looks innocent and pure, especially when his eyes are open wide; they look like a child’s eyes. Also, since his upper eyelids do not cover much of his eyes, they look very vivid, which deepens the sense of innocence and brightness. His eyes can be considered as the most outstanding parts of his facial features. They cannot simply be classified as almond-shaped eyes or amorous eyes; it is the big and round shape of the classic almond-shaped eyes combined with the alluring and appealing inner-corners and eye ends of amorous eyes. They are one of a kind. 

*Even though the way his eyes look bright and lively when he opens them widely is beautiful, I personally prefer when he’s drooping his eyes and frowning slightly, it presents a touch of melancholy and desolation.

*Moreover, he has a graceful eyebrow shape. They are neat and slope upwards (chel’s note: from the centre of the face) (and) they look very manly. Even without makeup his eyebrows look good and not at all dishevelled; they match his eyes really well.

Lips

Just personal preference, in my opinion the most charming part of Chanyeol’s facial features are his lips. Traditionally, it is considered the perfect proportion when the lower lip is twice as thick as the upper lip. Chanyeol’s lips fit this standard perfectly, with a thin upper lip and thick lower lip. The peak points on his upper lip aren’t obvious, with soft curves. His lower lip is full, and quite plump. There is a slight cavity in the middle, which is more obvious when his lips are dry. Only people with full lips would have such a feature. It looks very sexy, like it’s calling for kisses, exceptionally tender and amorous. Even though the overall shape of his lips are round, the corners of his lips are sharp, which alleviate the overall sense of cuteness.

* Generally speaking, for facial features, round corners look more friendly and tender, sharp corners look more glamorous and delicate (tn: detailed). 

* Chanyeol is referred to as “teeth rich” because he loves smiling and laughing. His lips are a part of the reason why his smiles make you feel very pleasant. When Chanyeol doesn’t smile, the corners of his mouth would droop down a little, normally such a characteristic would make the mouth produce a worried (tn: pouty) expression, but when he smiles the curve won’t be over the top - it’s more like natural stretching, which feels like a breath of fresh air.

Ears

When talking about the most unique feature of Chanyeol, it must be his big elf ears. From the front, his ears bears that cute feeling of a naughty kid. But if we switch our angle and look down from the side, his pointing ears remind you of an elf. His ears are beautifully fragile as the top is thin and transparent, with a faint flush of red. Such elf ears are exceptionally noticeable, but they fit Chanyeol well thanks to his outstanding facial features. Not only do they not look strange, it also adds some form of surreal aura.

Nose

With reference to current trends, Chanyeol’s nose is definitely not the perfect nose admitted by mainstream standards. The mainstream standard of beauty would prefer a high nose bridge with a hard and straight curve. But from the front Chanyeol’s nose shape is round. The tip of his nose is plump. It looks amiable, and not cold. His nose bridge isn’t very high if viewed from the side, but the curve is smooth, his nose neither a strong nor weak point, harmonising with his overall face very well. It is worth noting that even though his nose bridge isn’t high enough, the root of his nose looks good. It creates shadow around the inner corners of his eyes, adding a stereoscopic effect to his soft facial features.

Facial Feature Proportion

People always talk about the so called “three chambers and five eyes” (tn: Chinese culture uses “three chambers and five eyes” as the Facial Golden Proportion - please see the illustration below). Chanyeol’s face fits the “three chambers and five eyes” proportion well. His forehead is a bit short but not something noticeable. The shape of his forehead and his hairline is perfect, so he looks good with his hair up as well (especially his hairline, breathtakingly perfect). His face fits “five eyes” too, the proportion is precise. But it would be unnecessary work if the makeup artist or the photographer stretches the ends of his eyes or highlight them like what they do to people with normal eye proportions as that would actually break the balance. Asian people would normally have a big face with short eyes so it’s (usually) necessary to stretch the end of the eyes in order to balance the proportion, but Chanyeol’s eyes even without makeup already posesses the perfect proportion. It’s fine to create some shadow under his eyes  for accentuation but it’s really unnecessary to further stretch them (tn: with eyeshadow). This is also the reason why some idols’ eyes look much smaller without makeup, yet Chanyeol’s facial features just look as bright (as with makeup) even without any makeup.

Bone structure

Chanyeol has a small face, which is already a huge advantage. Moreover, he has the perfect head-to-body ratio and head-to-shoulder ratio. With a height of 185cm, wide shoulders and long legs, he would look very stylish no matter what he wears, even if he just wore some rags.

*Speaking of his body, I like his back and arms the most. His wide and thick back gives you a great sense of security. The curves of his shoulder blades are incredibly manly, not to mention the curves of his arms. He may have developed those arms from playing drums. Those golden arms.

Chanyeol’s overall style is bright. His facial features are big and soft, which makes him look very friendly and trustable. He could easily leave a good impression for people. But on top of his bright style, the delicacy hidden inside the details of his facial features actually enables the foundation to create a cold and distant feeling, including his exquisite mouth corners, eyes corners and straight long eyebrows. His face possesses a high potential to fitting various styles.
