I’m always happy when Wei Wuxian’s cynophobia is taken seriously. I’ve seen, more than once, people kinda allude to it being a burden, or something people have to “put up with” and it makes me sad.

It’s such a serious, debilitating phobia induced by horrible trauma, and though I see no issue making some jokes here and there, it’s nonetheless nice to see it taken seriously and not as something to make fun of Wei Wuxian for.

I know I’m poking the bear with this one but I’m not going to lie, it makes me exceedingly uncomfortable when I see JC portrayed as a “good uncle” to LSZ of all people. The kid whose family was actively murdered by the guy. The kid whose death the guy actively called for even after knowing that A-Yuan was an innocent toddler. I don’t hate JC, and if you do like this fanon relationship then more power to you, but it’s genuinely something that makes me cringe to see.

Man, when people bend over backwards to try and make the Golden Core Transfer out to be somehow SELFISH on WEI WUXIAN’S part, I feel a bit of myself die inside.

#mdzs textpost not art #like holy hell #the convos around the gc transfer already piss me off at the best of times #like no wwx legit had no other option if he wanted to both keep jc alive and keep the SECT going #they were in enemy territory on borrowed time and jc hadn’t eaten or drank in days if not over a week #the last thing wwx as a seventeen year old boy was told by his semi guardians was to take care of jc with his LIFE #as for not telling jc...uh when exactly was there a good time?#immediately after the transfer wwx was thrown into unimaginable hell for three months #after than was a WAR #after THAT was rebuilding the sect #and THEN the Wen remnants where WWX had to cut ties with the Jiangs FOR THEIR SAKE #legit no good time to tell them jfc #the novel shows how unimaginably selfless this sacrifice was and how horrifying it was that someone would go through that agony for another #I will FOREVER be stewing at people who shit on WWX for this moment #for putting himself through days of nonstop pain the likes of which could never be compared to #‘he was selfish’ ‘it’s basically assault’ fuck off with these shit takes holy shit #genuinely it makes me very mad sorry guys lol
