I posted a while back about my decision to attempt a CS degree and my fears about the math classes and learning new languages. Well...

I passed all the math classes! Calc 2 was very hard and I shed a lot of tears, mainly because of the professor and the way the class was designed. I still made it out with an A. I also took an elective languages survey course and did very well there, too.

now the big hurdles are the self-directed courses like software engineering. I really struggle with limiting the scope of my projects when left to my own devices.

There is also an operating systems course I already had to drop once--the most dropped and failed course in the program according to my advisor. But this time I will be brave and try to see it through even if I can't get a perfect grade. Wish me luck! and uh, if you know of any good resources for learning to write command prompt scripts, please share. I watched MIT's missing semester lecture series but i guess it wasn't enough.

i wanted to incorporate welsh sartorial tradition into his design but i guess we don't know a whole lot about what welsh men wore historically, huh. i give him lots of wool and a nice comfy coat

this is my rdm guy, yann aespenwalle, before he started wearing masks and helmets all the time. he's from a teeny island out around sharlayan and uses a blend of conjury and geomantic disciplines that his people have passed down mostly to help make sailing and fishing easier. since there's a lot of water, ice, wind and lightning aspected aether at sea that's what he's best at using.

he studied anthropology and aetherology at the studium but he had to leave suddenly for Reasons.

what is her name? it is maegryffe bardorba.

where is she from? ala gannha, but she doesn't remember it. her parents fled the garlean occupation to gridania and were denied entry. they died in the wilderness during the calamity.

class/job: conjurer, gladiator, paladin dark knight

what is she like? affable but reserved. traditional. wants a family. has high expectations for men. very intense and decisive in battle and not very merciful. no relation to azem.

what happened to her? lots of the same crappy things that happen to all ala mhigans who cross into the shroud. but the last straw was that she loved haurchefant, challenged charibert, and happened to meet fray soon after.

what happens to her? she quits the scions and does some unsavory things with the help of waoud of the alc questline. these things were ostensibly for sidurgu and rielle but they don't really know her and they never asked her to do them so of course it was all about her guilt. it doesn't turn out the way she hoped; regardless, things work out. thancred drags her back to the scions and keeps her through the liberation of ala mhigo, after which she retires for good, marries her ex-retainer iocus and has cute half auri kids.
