Another thing, I saw someone else say but let me say it again: They took Wonder Woman’s costume, which has been horrorifically sexualized for decades, barely changed it, but made it more look like a gladiator’s get up rather than a swisuit with a smattering or armor, which pleases purists and people who love women fighting in proper attire

It’s spring and con season has begun! I decided to start offering photography sessions for people looking to document their costumes and have a fun time showing off what they’ve created. I’m fairly casual about it, since I like people to be at ease, especially if they’re new to cosplay, and I’ve also only been doing this for a few years.

Some things to note:

I’m located in Boston and will travel about an hour away in any direction (within reason)

this includes coming in for conventions, even if I’m not in attendance myself

I have a series of locations mapped out if you’re in need of suggestions or want to meet in the middle!

I can also do half hour sessions at a lower cost with less end photos–we can work out the details of what you’re looking for!

How to book a session:

email redhourglassphotography@gmail.com at least three weeks in advance

include your name, costume (& what it’s from), some pose references if you have any thoughts already (find some here), theme ideas if you have one

Please include an email address for paypal invoices!

Note any props you want that you might not have

if I don’t have them, I can purchase some for an additional cost to the session

things like colored smoke and color packets will cost extra

Feel free to suggest locations if you have any in mind

once we’ve settled most things, I’ll send you an invoice for the session cost

$50 for one hour and about 30-40 relatively edited photos

$25 for up to two additional friends (for those nice group cosplays), and they’ll get their own individual portraits as well

And again, i will do half hour or longer than an hour sessions depending on what you’re looking for/your budget! Do let me know up front so we can plan accordingly

I’ll get back to you relatively quickly and we can discuss location, theme, dates, weather contingencies, ordering prints, and anything else that might be important!
