today was the filming of episode one. i wasn't technically needed but i decided to show up anyways to support them. the first scene was the boys doing now or never. the crew was applying fake sweat to the guys. i was sitting with kenny when taylor kane who played young bobby approached us.

" hey. katrina, right? it's nice to meet you " he stuck out his hand for me to shake and i smiled, shaking his hand. i hadn't met him yet. " it's nice to meet you as well " i smiled back at him. he had gone back to owen, jeremy, and charlie. my eyes glancing towards charlie.

i glanced to kenny who was smiling at me. " yes, yes. he's yours " kenny teased. a hint of red crept on my cheeks as turned away from charlie. " i can't admire my boyfriend? " i mumbled as kenny laughed a little. " you're boyfriend is coming this way " kenny got up from his chair and walked off.

charlie pressed a kiss to my cheek. " are you going to stay here until we finish? " he asked grabbing onto my hand and i nodded. i wasn't going to leave him behind. " good, i'll stay over at your place whenever we're done " he kissed my hand, kenny was getting everyone ready so they could start filming.

i shared a kiss with charlie before he ran towards the stage. " quiet on set " kenny called out before calling action. i was seated next to him, watching the cameras. i've never been over here before and it was kind of interesting, all the work has to go into directing. my respect for any director really sky rocketed.

charlie and the others started to play now or never, i knew the words to the song so i was mouthing a long to them. my smile never fading as i was jamming to the song. my eyes were always on charlie who looked like he was having fun.

i smiled as jeremy had approached charlie mic and they started to sing together. he pushed him away and charlie spun his guitar over his body, catching it as they finished off the song. " damn " i mumbled. i knew that charlie was hot but the song made him hotter.

" cut! that's great guys, let's shoot it from a different angle " kenny shouted. as the shooting went on, the guys didn't need fake sweat. it was super hot underneath the lights their sweat was real. when the camera wasn't on charlie, he had taken advantage of it and threw me a wink.

now or never was filmed and so was the scene where the guys were flirting with the waitress. it was like 12 am, i was getting super tried but i wanted to be supportive towards my boyfriend. they had been shooting the hot dog scene since 7 pm.

" you can go home, sweetheart. if you are that tired " charlie pressed a kiss to my cheek and i shook my head. i didn't want to be anywhere without him. the guys had a little break but had to go back to filming in a bit. " i want to stay here with you " i mumbled as charlie nodded.

he kissed the top of my head. " we'll sleep soon, honey " he reassured me as kenny had called him back to set. i nodded and sat in one of the chairs. it was in fact not soon and about thirteen hot dogs later, it was 5 am when they had finished shooting that scene. kenny had sent everyone to sleep.

i had the call time of 10 am and charlie had the call time of 6 pm along with the other guys to film the scenes of meeting my character and julie, then the night scene on top of the orpheum. charlie and i arrived at my apartment.

kai and the members had left back to los angeles earlier, they had come on set to say bye to everyone. my parents had ordered dinner for all the cast and crew, they were going to leave in a day or so. " go take a shower before we sleep " i pushed charlie towards the shower lightly.

we had just walked through the door and he was pouting. " i wanted to cuddle with you baby " he pouted some more and pecked his pout. playing with his hair lightly. " no you big baby, you stink and i don't want my sheets all smelly " i smiled at him.

he whined some more. mumbling a fine before walking towards my bathroom. i followed after him since it was connected to my bedroom. i was going to pick out a nice comfy outfit to cuddle my boyfriend in. i got underneath the covers and waited for charlie.

he stepped out of the bathroom, a couple of minutes later. he didn't have a shirt on and was wearing shorts that hanged low on his waist. i could see his v line. " hurry " i patted the spot next to me as he chuckled. jumping into bed with me as i laid my head on his chest.

my brother had picked up my parents from the airport. i had offered for them to stay at my place but they insisted on not invading my space specially with me dating charlie now. we’re all supposed to be going out to dinner later on, charlie had dropped me off at my apartment building before heading home to get ready for tonight. all of the cast and crew were going to be celebrating the start of the show.

my parents were making the baskets they promised everyone. “ hello, mama ” i smiled as soon as i walked through the door. my parents had gotten a hotel room but had come over to my apartment. they were just excited to be with their children again. “ hello, my little dumpling ” she smiled hugging me. my dad was standing with kai. “ hello, papa ” i was released from my mother’s hug and turned to my father.

“ hello, my little one ” he pulled me into a hug and i smiled. my dad kissed the top of my head. “ hello, kitty kat ” i heard a familiar voice coming out from my bedroom window. i turned to look at the woman who was standing there. it was kimmy, my manager that i hadn’t seen for over a month. “ kimmy! ” i shouted, running towards her and tackling her to the ground. man, i was so excited to see her.

she laughed, wrapping her arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug. “ i had to meet this boyfriend of yours ” kimmy smiled, winking at me. i shook my head. “ please don’t embarrass me tonight, i really like him ” i announced looking at everyone, i know my mother and kimmy would bring up stories of me doing stupid shit. “ i make no promises baby ” my mother smiled. she was a chinese immigrant, she spoke pretty good english but sometimes had her problems.

my father is american, they met during college and it was described as love at first sight. i always wanted to have a love like there’s. “ i can’t wait to meet all your friends ” my father smiled. kai patted our father’s shoulder and smiled. “ they’re all interesting but owen and charlie are different ” he teased and i made a face that agreed with him. owen and charlie were the loudest, most annoying ones but they were cute annoying it was hard not to like them.

“ we should start getting ready, we’ll see you in about an hour or so ” my mother kissed my cheek. kai had gone towards his room while my parents and kimmy had left. i had walked into my room, my parents were taking us to a fancy restaurant so we’re going to dress nice. “ kat, mom and dad said a driver will pick us up with the others ” kai yelled from his bedroom. i yelled back a response and continued to look through the many dresses i had brought.

i hadn’t exactly told the other cast and crew who my parents were, i could have to bring it up just seemed like bragging and i didn’t want to come off like that. i had picked out a simple red dress and black heels. i had walked out of my room to see kai in the living room. we glanced at each other and looked at our outfits. we’re wearing the same colors, he was wearing a red, polo shirt and black pants with black shoes. “ stop being so obsessed with me ” i joked around and he rolled his eyes at me.

a couple of minutes later, my phone rang and it was my parents letting us know that they were in the limo outside, with kimmy. i had texted all of the cast and crew members that we’d be picking them up at their respective apartments. i was so nervous for this, i hadn’t exactly been lying to any of them but i didn’t exactly tell them who my parents were either. it scared me that they would be mad at me for that.

“ kat, you never told us your parents are mindy and george hart ” kenny had commented. everyone was in awe seeing my parents sitting in the limo. my mother is a famous fashion designer that has created lines for high end fashion brands and my dad is a very successful music producer, he’s worked with several big name artists. “ yeah, or that you modeled in the past ” carolynn chimed in. i never mentioned any of that because i didn’t want people to think i got the role because of my famous parents.

my father smiled at me. “ kat doesn’t like to mention it very much, neither does kai. both our children want to make a name for themselves and not use our names ” he stated. it was true. charlie’s hand was holding onto mine as i smiled a little. “ how long will you be in town? ” owen had glanced towards my parents. “ not long, about three days. we just wanted to see our children before kai and the band goes on tour and before kat starts filming ” my mother answered.

“ that reminds me, does anyone want to hear stories about kat or kai? ” my father smiled at me. i groaned and hid my face in charlie’s shoulder. he smoothed out my hair. the cast and crew had said yes. my father started telling them about the time i pranked my brother for a week straight, telling him that we’re going to disney land but our parents were going to surprise him with the tickets, that he needed to be ready by friday at 3 am.

i lured him outside and locked the door on him for thirty minutes. i was grounded for a week because of the prank. “ damn, little mence ” owen joked. charlie had kissed the side of my head. “ yeah and then i got her back years later ” kai smiled and i rolled my eyes playfully at my brother. my parents were taking us to a really fancy restaurant, like the most expensive one in vancouver. they wanted to treat the cast and crew to a nice dinner for taking care of kai and i.

plus, they really wanted to threat the other band members before going on a four month tour in the us. we had reached the restaurant and my father helped my mother out of the limo. jeremy, charlie, and owen were doing the same thing when i first met the cast, blocking the dresses of the girls coming out the limo. “ i like these boys, they’re respectful ” my mother whispered to me. owen was covering up kimmy’s skirt and i smiled with a nod.

they really were, carolynn had joined me. she was waiting for jeremy to finish. “ that reminds me, carloynn? i have a wedding present for you and jeremy ” my mother smiled at her. carolynn smiled but she wanted to decline it. “ no, mrs. hart. i can’t take anything ” she felt bad. my mother shook her head, “ nonsense, its a thank you for taking care of my girl and a congratulations ” carolynn nodded with a smile. “ accept it, she will not take a no for answer ” i whispered as she nodded.

charlie had wrapped his hands around my waist and jeremy had done the same with carolynn, kai and owen looked at each other and linked arms. “ let’s go babe ” kai jokingly told owen who nodded. i knew they were doing it to tease the couples here. i laughed a little as i grabbed onto charlie’s hand. we walked into the restaurant, my parents had reserved the party room for us. they wanted it to be private and didn’t want people to interrupt our dinner.

we had taken our places, more stories were shared about kai and i. especially when i couldn’t copy words correctly and pronounced them wrong when i was five. my parents still tell that story every time, it became an inside joke between us. dinner was good and i was worried for nothing. my parents loved my costars and the crew, they loved charlie, jeremy, and owen especially. i guess it was because the brotherly bond i had with them and well charlie was just fucking charming.

charlie had taken a quick picture of the view and grabbed onto my hand. “ let’s start heading back down, if i don’t get you back for dinner then your parents might send a search party for you ” charlie joked and i nodded.

the hike back to the camp site was not as bad, i think the adrenaline i had to get down was making me go faster. we had agreed to spend a few more minutes in the lake and then get cleaned off before packing up the car.

luckily, i had one of my new bikinis underneath what i was wearing. charlie was wearing this swim trunks so when we had gotten back to the camp site before of us just took off our clothing.

the other bands members would be staying in my apartment until i got back. i grabbed my phone and bag before checking my phone and it was text from charlie that he was already coming up to get me. god, i wondered how this trip would go. if we'd come out dating or not.

" your favorite coffee and a bagel with strawberry cream cheese is waiting in the front seat for you, don't worry about the bag " charlie stated and i kissed his cheek. thanking him before settling in the passenger seat, a fluffy pink blanket and pink neck pillow waited for me.

damn charlie was really making me out to be a passenger princess. he set my bag in the trunk and sat in the drivers seat. " you didn't need to do all of this for me " i pouted, feeling bad that he spent money on me. " of course i did, how was i going to make camping comfortable for you plus its a three and a half hour drive " he smiled at me.

fuck, he was too cute. " thank you mr. gillespie " i kissed his cheek before taking a sip of my coffee. he laughed. " you're welcome miss hart " he put the car into drive and started heading towards the camping sight. he had given me the aux cord to put in my music.

we had been jamming out to the songs, charlie occasionally glancing over at me with a smile. i didn't know how i was going to enjoy camping but i knew that i would enjoy being with charlie. it didn't matter what it was or where we went, as long as i was with him then nothing mattered.

he continued to ramble for a bit. " yes, i'll be your girlfriend " i cut him off. he was so cute rambling but i didn't know how long it would take and i just wanted him to ask me. " fuck yeah! " charlie spun me around as i laughed. i pressed a kiss to his pout. he pulled me closer, if it was any possible and kissed me back.

we had spent a couple of more minutes in the water and a few more kisses. we had gotten out, charlie's hand was in mine as we walked out if the water together. it was getting pretty close to lunch time and charlie had a lot of things planned.

" i think we should make it official " charlie pressed a kiss to my forehead and i nodded in agreement. we didn't want to post a picture of us kissing or anything. we just wanted it simple enough to let everyone know that we're official.

we both agreed on it a picture of us holding hands and walking. it didn't show much but it was cute. we had quickly dried off then changed into some comfy. charlie had planned for us to walk around the area for a bit before eating lunch, that's when i decided to take a picture to hard launch us.

today was the last rehearsal day before we start shooting. of course, we'd have time between takes to practice but it was going to be really cramped in time. that's why kenny wanted us to really perfect it before shooting the show.

we'd be going over all the music numbers today and most lines. it was easier to rehearse lines during the shooting process so we wouldn't really practice that today. tomorrow was the day i was going camping with charlie, i was nervous as fuck.

" jeremy and kat, let's go through the number " kenny called out to us. charlie and mads had just finished their dance number. tori and some of the other choreographers were watching us. jeremy and i high fived each other before we got into positions as the music started.

i leaned into jeremy, his arms wrapped around my waist. we pulled apart from each other. our hands holding on to each other so we could balance ourselves. we had been mouthing along to the music playing, it was the finished recording of the song so it was our voices.

my mother had texted us that my dad and her want to take everyone out to eat for dinner. she was more than excited to meet charlie, she's seen my instagram posts and kai had told her about him. i warned her that i was not dating charlie to please not make a big deal over him.

i knew she was, she loves meeting our partners. that was in her chinese nature to welcome anyone and everyone, especially people we're dating. i smiled at my phone, my mother was telling me in chinese to ask charlie his favorite foods because she was going to make a basket for him.

she then texted me she was going to make a basket for carolynn and jeremy's wedding, for owen, for mads, and for everyone who is working on the tv. especially for kenny as a thank you for giving me the role. my mother was the sweetest person ever.

i had let charlie know to send me his favorite snacks so my mother could make a basket for him, i ended texting the entire cast and crew the same thing. kai just shook his head at my mothering being her usual self. i was packing for my trip with charlie.

" should i pack this? " i asked holding up a black, mesh bandeau top. the girls were in my room helping me pack while my brother and the band were playing video games at charlie and owen's apartment. they should be back in a couple of minutes.

the girls looked at each other and agreed. " yes, girl. pack all the hottest outfits you have " tori smirked. i just laughed and shook my head. the door of my apartment opened. " kat, we're back with your boyfriend and carolynn's husband " kai called out as i sighed at my exhausting brother.

" shut up " i called back to him as i heard him laugh. " fight me, mrs. potato head " he replied back. i opened my bedroom door and glanced at him. sticking out the middle finger and then laughing. it was normal for us to insult each other.

everyone started to laugh as kai started to mock me, i grabbed a pillow. " hahaha, very funny " i threw the pillow at him. he dodged it and laughed. " let's actually eat dinner before it gets cold " jeremy announced acting as the responsible one.

" you're no fun jer " tori commented as we all laughed. carolynn his patted jeremy's head. we all sat down the living room to eat dinner. we had some trouble deciding what movie to watch, the girls and i wanted to watch mean girls and the guys wanted to watch an action movie.

carolynn was doing her best to convince jeremy, while i was using a few tricks on charlie. " 10 bucks that charlie caves first " i could hear kai whispering to aiden. aiden shook his head and smiled. " nah, jer and carolynn are getting married, he'll break first " aiden whispered, shaking kai's hand.

i kissed charlie's cheek and the seem to do it. " let's watch mean girl " he announced. the girls and i cheered as aiden groaned. kai started laughing. jeremy was actually really close to breaking, if i hadn't pulled out the kiss on the cheek move then he would have broken.

the guys and i were having a guys night at owen and i's apartment. the girls were over at kat's apartment, having the same thing but they were watching romance movies and we're doing video games. everyone was asking me about my camping trip with kat.

" dude, are you going to ask her out? " aiden nudged me, we all had become great friends. i wanted to ask kat out but i was nervous. " i mean i want to but i'm nervous. what if she says no? " i answered truthfully. the reason why i wanted to ask kat camping was to ask her out.

she seemed like she wanted things to kept private, like pda and such. i wanted to respect that. " dude, my sister hates camping. she hates sweating, bugs, and don't even get me started about having no shower. the fact that she said yes means she won't say no " kai commented.

i knew that kat didn't like camping but i really didn't know about the other things. " she really likes you. when we went camping and asked if she wanted to come, she gave us the finger and told us hell no " oliver chimed in. i smiled at her way of declining to go camping with her brother and friends. " yeah and she was shopping with the girls for new swim suits " owen joined in.

" see, there is no way she's saying no " jeremy nudged me. it made me feel less nervous. jeremy's phone buzzed, he checked it. " damn it, the guy is back and knocking on the door of kat's apartment " he announced. sebastian and oliver abandoned the game as we scrambled to get our shoes on.

all of us running out of the apartment and towards the elevator. " the fuck is this guy's problem? " sebastian asked. we had gotten on the elevator and hurriedly pressed the button for it to take us to the lobby. when it did, we rushed out of the elevator and towards the van.

our apartment was about 10 minutes from kat's, jeremy was trying to floor it as we all flew into the van. finally, after a couple of minutes jeremy had parked the van and we rushed inside. we didn't even bother heading towards the elevator, we just booked up the stairs.

we rushed up to her floor, my emotions were going through the roof. what would he do to kat and the others if he got through the door? it's a good thing that all of us had pretty good stamina. we rushed through the door that led up to kat's floor and booked it towards her apartment.

the guy was already gone by the time we had gotten there. the door was still locked, which made us all breath a sigh of relief. kai had the keys to her door and opened it. kai walked towards kat's bedroom, jeremy had told them to hide in her bedroom until we got there.

kat opened the door and rushed towards me, her arms wrapping around me. i thought she would have wanted her brother but she wanted me instead. " i think we should finish our night here " kai announced, my arms wrapping around kat and we all agreed.

after a couple of minutes, she finally let me go and headed towards kai. he was making sure she was alright. my eyes shifting towards tori, jadah, savannah, and mads. they were fine as well. kat had come back to me, i wrapped my arm around her as savannah had pressed play on the movie they were watching before.

i had arrived at rehearsal. charlie had asked me to fill in for mads because she had schooling to do. we'd be practicing on our own for now, it wasn't technically rehearsal time for the dance but charlie wanted to get extra practice in. he was nervous because it was his first time dancing professionally.

" ready? " he smiled, plugging his phone in. i nodded and charlie started to sing. i felt butterflies in my stomach as we had gotten to the part where he lifts me up and spins me around. his eyes locking onto mine as his chin rested on my stomach.

he sets me down, doing his little dance part on the floor and places his hands on my waist. spinning me around and then lifting me up again. he places his on waist as he was going to set me down, my hands resting on his shoulder.

i remembered us at the beach, him resting his hands on my waist and me wrapping my arms around his neck. i swear, he was leaning down to kiss me but the doors opened and we jumped apart. " hey, julie's dad is buying lunch for us. what do you guys want? " jeremy asked.

charlie and i both told him our orders, he smirked and threw me a wink before walking away. "uh, you're a pretty good dancer " i smiled at charlie. he scratched the back of his neck and smiled at me. "' thanks, it means a lot coming from a dancer " he stepped closer to me.

i could feel his breath on me, our eyes met. " we should probably go " i whispered. charlie kissed the side of my head and smiled. " i can't wait for our camping trip " he smiled. i knew i wasn't going to enjoy it but i did want to spend some alone time with charlie.

that was the sacrifice i was willing to pay. i ran my hands through his hair before kissing his cheek. i grabbed my bag and nodded at him. he had done the same and we both walked out of the practice room together. a smile resting on tori's face as she walking towards us.

" i'm going have to steal your girlfriend for a moment " she wiggled her eyes brows as at charlie. i gave her a look. " she's not my girlfriend, yet " charlie told tori but mumbled the last part. i could still hear it as tori grabbed my hand and led me somewhere.

we walked into the main practice room and there stood jeremy with a familiar woman. " carolynn? " i asked as she turned around. she squealed. " kat! " we ran towards each other and i tackled her to the ground. we started to laugh and gave each other a hug.

" i'm stealing her away from you " i stuck my tongue out at jeremy who laughed. charlie had joined us and wrapped an arm around jeremy. " it's fine, owen already stole you from charlie " jeremy teased. tori, mads, savannah, and jadah had joined us.

we all laid on the floor, laughing and joking around. the boys were watching us. we started to plan a girls night at my apart while, the boys including my brother and the band would have a boys night with charlie, jeremy, and owen. it was great time for us to talk about things without the other gender around.

we had in fact done a girls night, the boys were at owen and charlie's apartment. charlie had texted me that they were doing a pizza and video game night. we're doing a cute little skin care and watching romance movies night. " girl, if you and charlie don't end up dating at the end of this trip then i'm suing him " carolynn commented.

we're doing face masks right now and trying to figure out what movie to watch. " i'm going to bug the shit out of him if he doesn't make a damn move " tori stated as we all laughed. the conversation continued for a while about charlie but was so shifted to the creepy guy on my floor.

" so, basically he can't take rejection? " carolynn asked as we all nodded. her face winced in disgust. " like we've told him several times to stay away, get the damn hint dude " savannah commented as we all nodded. there was a knock at the door, it was probably the pizzas we order.

i had set up cute, pink little decorations and party favors. it would be one of the rare times we'd spent together so it was natural that i went all out. i walked to open the door and there this guys was. standing there. " what? " it came out more hostile than i intended.

" i wanted to say sorry for always bothering, i just think you're really pretty and wanted to get to know you " he sighed. i would have gotten to know him if he wasn't so damn creepy and always showing up in places i was at. " goodbye " i said, shutting the door and locking it. i went back to the living room.

" our friend came back " i commented as tori rolled her eyes. " again? man can't get the hint " she responded. another knock on the door was heard. i walked over to check the peep hole and he was still there. " please, just give me a chance " he begged as i rolled my eyes, he continued to knock.

carolynn glanced at me. " should we call the guys? it seems like he won't leave this alone " she stated. i hate to bother them but she was right. he just continued to knock and knock. carolynn called jeremy who told he was on his way with the other guys. he just told us to wait it out in my bed room.

we went inside of my bed room and locked the door. it seemed like forever but we heard the door of my apartment opening. it couldn't have been him, only kai had the extra key to my apartment building. " kat, it's us " i heard my brother's voice knock on the door and i felt like i could breath.

i opened the door and the guys stood there. carolynn going straight towards jeremy and i went towards charlie. i normally would have gone to my brother but i wanted charlie's comfort, i needed his comfort. charlie's arms wrapped around me, whispering that it was okay. owen and the others had checked on tori, jadah, and mads.

we had ended practice for the day. the girls had taken me shopping, like promised. i realized how much of a bad idea it was expecting to go camping. i hate bugs, sweating, and anything with not having a shower. " why did you accept his invitation? " tori asked as we entered a store.

" he was so excited and i really wanted me to go, how could i reject his face? " i sighed. mads wrapped an arm around me with a smile. " do you like him? " she glanced over at me and nodded. that was also a reason why i wanted to go despite not liking camping.

the girls cooed, i shook my head. i knew it was obvious that i liked charlie. " hold on, we need to text carolynn this " tori smiled before pulling out her phone. that's how things traveled so fast between girls here. " we need to find the hottest outfits money can buy because girl you are gonna get out of the camping trip dating him " jadah smiled.

i was planning on taking tori's advice about putting my lip ring back in before we left for the trip. was i actually going to come out of the camping trip dating him? honestly, that would be amazing and i was sure charlie liked me back. " charlie is so going to want to date you when he sees you wearing that " the girls and i stopped in front of a store.

it was filled to the brim with bikinis, i mean we're near the water and a beach. it would make sense to have a shop like this. " we need to find you the hottest one there is " tori smiled and grabbed my hand, pulling me into the store.

i laughed but my smile faded when i saw him, the guy from the apartment building. i had not seen him in a couple of days. " why is he here? " savannah groaned. i quickly pulled out my phone to text owen, he had told me we was coming with jeremy to shop a little.

owen had texted back that he was headed our way with jer and just to ignore him. " hey, it's nice seeing you here " he smiled. the girls and i turned on backs on him. following the advice of owen. he continued to bother us until owen and jeremy had showed up.

owen nor jeremy had to say anything, he just left. jeremy's eyes didn't know where to look with all the bikinis. " yeah, owen you can take this. i'll wait outside " he patted owen's back and walked towards the entrance of the store.

owen's face went red as the girls pulled him towards the dressing room. i went in with a couple of bikinis and i quickly changed into a a colorful bikini. " nah, it's not pretty enough " mads shook her head. " we should get her the maroon one ! " savannah announced.

the girls nodded left the dressing room area, i glanced at owen who trying everything but to look at me. a smile appeared on my face and walked back into my dressing room. grabbing my hoodie and giving it to him. " you might want to cover up before they notice you " i tried not to laugh.

with a blush on his face, he covered up. " so, charlie asked you to go camping " he coughed and i nodded. " you should take that one, you look good in it " he continued, i walked over to him and kissed his cheek. his cheeks had gone even more red. the girls had come back seconds later.

i had gotten three new bikinis, including the one that owen had picked out. i was heading towards my apartment, aiden had came down to get me. " kai and sebastian are out getting dinner, did you get new bikinis for your camping trip? " he teased.

i had texted all of them about charlie asking me to go camping. " i did and for your information, you can't see them on me " i nudged him as he laughed. " can't blame a guy for trying, seriously though, good luck " he patted my head.

i smiled at him before pulling out my phone, it was charlie telling me he found a great place to camp. i smiled and texted him that it looked nice. it was secluded, meaning people won't be bothering us and there was shower outside.

thank god, i didn't want to have to bath in the lake or something. it also came with a toilet. " i was surprised that you said yes, you hate camping but then i realized that it was charlie " aiden commented, teasing me. i pushed him lightly. " it's not my fault that he's cute " i defended myself.

" take lots of condoms " he winked at me and i shook my head. i wasn't even sure that charlie and i would start dating by the end of this trip. everyone said we would and i hoped that we would but it was also up to charlie to admit his feelings for me, if he had any.

aiden opened my apartment door, oliver was on the couch trying to find a movie. " kat! " oliver shouted, getting up and tackling me to the ground. i laughed, ruffling his hair. " okay, let's not break her before she goes camping with her boyfriend " aiden teased.

i shot him the finger and he laughed, oliver got off me and helped me. " oh yeah, kat has a boyfriend " he teased. i rolled my eyes and walked towards my bedroom. i was going to wash the bikinis before actually taking them camping.

i was so nervous, what if charlie realizes that he doesn't like me on this trip? what if he decides to go for someone else? or he could be asking me to be his girlfriend. we did share that moment on the beach but i chickened out.

" we're back with dinner " kai called out. i came out of my bedroom. with my bikinis in hand, putting them in the washer and heading towards the living room. " hey, sis. i got your favorite with no onions or tomatoes " kai smiled at me.

i smiled back at him. thanking him and sebastian before grabbing my food and sitting down on the couch. oliver had decided to put on scary movie, it was our favorite movie to watch. well all the scary movies were. i glanced at kai who was laughing at specific part in the movie, i only had a couple of days left with him and i was sad saying goodbye, it would another couple of months we'd see each other.

i woke up on owen and charlie's couch. i snuggled into something warm, my eyes opening when i didn't smell my familiar scent of my pillow. i was snuggling into charlie's chest, his bare chest. he wrapped his arms around me as i felt us being hit with a pillow.

" love birds! we're late for rehearsal! " owen shouted. both of us shot up and i scrambled to get dressed. charlie and owen were doing the same thing as us. i had looked at my phone and gotten several missed calls from mads, my brother, kenny, jeremy, and others.

fuck, we stayed up all night watching movies. we had gone to bed at like 4 am. we all could have slept more if we wanted but we should have been at the studio 30 minutes ago. " fuck " charlie mumbled, scrambling to put on a clean shirt and brush his teeth.

owen and ran out of his bedroom, with a clean shirt and sweatpants on. i had changed into a baggy shirt and shorts, my teeth were already brushed after i changed. i slipped on my shoes and the three of us had ran out of the door.

" fuck, i hope we don't get it " i mumbled. i was supposed to be practicing my dance with jeremy in the morning. charlie had unlocked the car, i practically flew into the backseat. charlie in the drivers seat and owen the passenger seat. he booked it out towards the studio.

i had texted my brother that i was alright but we had overslept after watching a shit ton of movies. charlie had gotten to the studio, as fast as he could. we ran into the building as kenny, tori, jeremy, and mads were waiting for us. " sorry, we stayed up late watching movies and we forgot to set our alarms " owen apologized.

" i'm not mad, just be careful next time, please " kenny commented as we all nodded. we all sighed in relief as jeremy, tori, and i walked towards the dance studio. " sorry, jer " i glanced towards him. he hadn't shown any kind of expression and it worried me. was he mad?

he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. " no worries, i'm not mad " he smiled and ruffled my hair. i smiled at him and we walked into the dance studio. jeremy and i started to stretch so we could start dancing. we only had about a week until we start filming the show, man time has gone by so fast.

jeremy and i had finished, charlie had entered the practice room. " can i steal kat for a second? " he asked and glanced towards jeremy who nodded. i glanced towards jeremy who shrugged and went with charlie. " what's up? " i smiled at charlie. he looked really nervous.

" uh, i was wondering, uh. since we have three days off before we start filming the show, if you wanted to go camping with me " he scratched the back of his neck. i hated camping, it didn't seem like a fun time for me. seeing how nervous charlie was and i could tell that he really wanted to take me. i broke my heart rejecting him.

i nodded, what in the fuck was i getting myself into. " sure, i'll go camping with you " i smiled at him. he breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. " uh, we'll be going for a day and a half so you don't have to pack a lot " he smiled as i nodded.

charlie walked off as jeremy, apparently hearing the whole thing, came up to me with a smile. " he likes you, he didn't ask anyone of us to go camping on our days off " he patted my head. okay, now i was accepting charlie liking me.

" just wait until the girls hear about this " jeremy continued with a smile. savannah, mads, jadah, and tori will freak when i tell them. i glanced over at tori who came up running towards me. " charlie asked you to go camping? " she was excited. how in the hell did she find out so quickly?

she grabbed my hand and pulled me somewhere, jeremy's laugh fading as she was pulling me. " charlie texted me, girl. we need to pick cute outfits for you and please put your lip ring back in. charlie likes it " she winked at me. so, that's why he looked sad when i had to take it off.

savannah, jadah, and mads were taking a break as tori and i approached them. " charlie asked kat to go camping with him on the days we have off " tori explained. their conversation stopped as they all squealed. i was happy, but these girls seemed even happier than me.

" we need to go shopping after we get off " mads squealed as savannah, tori, and jadah nodded in agreement. i shook my heads at them but smiled. i loved these girls and i loved them being supportive of me. i had gotten a text from carolynn, freaking out. shit, news travels fast among the girls here.

after a long day of reading lines and dancing. charlie had invited me to the beach. he invited the others as well but for some reason they all declined. even my brother and the band didn't want to come with us. all of them were acting super strange today.

giving me little winks as before leaving me alone with charlie. i got dressed in a white bikini and short, colorful cover up. my back was packed with two extra outfits. i was planning on spending the night with owen and charlie. we're going to have a movie night and we would drive to the studio tomorrow.

" you look good, just use protection. don't need to be an uncle at 17 " kai smiled at me. aiden, oliver, and sebastian would be staying over at my apartment for the night. " damn, strut that ass " aiden smirked. we had a flirty relationship with each other but nothing else. kai glared him and he laughed.

" be safe! " oliver called to me. charlie had texted me that he was waiting outside of the door for me. " i will, have fun and if you dirty anything, please clean it up " i called back and i got a course of agreements. i opened the door and charlie stood there with a smile.

he eyed me up and down, before grabbing my bag from my hands. " you look beautiful " charlie commented. wrapping his arms around my shoulder and pulling me closer to him. " you don't look bad yourself " i ran my fingers through his hair and he smiled. we had been waiting for the elevator when he kissed the side of my head.

i smiled at him, fuck. he was giving me all kinds of butterflies. the elevator came and we got on. thank god, that the creep wasn't here. the elevator took us to the lobby and the car was parked in the front. charlie grabbed the keys from his pocket and unlocked it, putting my things in the backseat.

" okay, you are in charge of the music " charlie smiled at me and i plugged in my phone. jamming out to one of my brother's songs. charlie just looked over at me and smiled. the drive to the beach access with only about 10 minutes away, he found some parking and quickly opened my door to let me out.

i thanked him as we grabbed our things, heading towards the chairs on the beach. i wasn't a long walk so we set down our things. i pulled off my cover up as charlie pulled off his shirt. i couldn't help but stare at him. he was fucking built. " what's with that stare? " charlie smirked.

i ran towards the water, laughing. i could hear charlie running after me. arms wrapping around my waist and picking me up. i laughed as charlie set me down in the water, splashing some on me. i had splashed him back and it turned into a splash war. finally, after a couple of seconds, we settled down and charlie's hands were around my waist.

we stared up at each other. " you're so beautiful " he whispered, moving some hair out of my face. i wrapped my arms around his neck and titled my head. " and you're so handsome " i smiled. i leaned up to kiss his cheek, i could have kissed him but with so many people around, i felt awkward.

charlie and i headed towards the apartment that he rented with owen. we had spent the last hour or so at the beach. owen had texted us that he was ordering some pizza, a shit ton of snacks, and drinks. charlie unlocked the door and we walked inside.

" kat ! " owen shouted, running from his bedroom. he picked me up and i wrapped my legs around him. " charlie kept me away from you " he whined as i ruffled his hair. glancing towards charlie who shook his head. " such a meanie, keeping me away from owen " i teased.

as charlie sat down my bags, along with his. " okay, okay. enough with the touchy, feely stuff "' charlie commented. owen sat me down and i glanced at charlie. " why? do you want me to do the same thing with you? " i teased, winking at him. he shook his head.

owen laughed. " don't flirt with me here, please " he joked as i grabbed my bag of clothes. " where i can i change? " i glanced at both of them. charlie motioned for me to follow him and i did, towards his bed room. he shut the door and directed me towards the bathroom.

" thank you mr. gillespie " i kissed his cheek before walking into the bathroom. i could hear the bedroom door opening and closing. his bathroom was pretty clean, cleaner than i expected because i know that owen was pretty dirty. i grabbed my toiletries and started the shower, wanting to get off all the extra sand.

i had only taken a 10 minute shower, i was going to be shorter but i decided since i was staying the night anyways. i might just take a full shower so i wouldn't have to do it later. i stepped out of the shower and changed into a baggy shirt with some shorts, brushing my hair and walking out of the bathroom then bedroom.

" kat, right on time. the food is here " owen called out to me. i smiled at the two large pizzas that owen had order. charlie was already eating and owen was trying to food a movie. i sat down on the couch, next to owen and grabbed a slice of pizza.

we had spent the next couple of minutes deciding what movie to watch and i managed to win. charlie nor owen could resist my pouty face, i wanted to watch white chicks. i placed kisses on both their cheeks and continued to eat my pizza happily.

the cast and i were taking my brother and the band sight seeing. afterwards, we would be heading to dinner. kai and i were messing around on the street. it had been months since the last time we saw each other, this was nice for us to be together.

" are they always like this? " i could hear mads ask someone. i heard a familiar laugh. " yes, it's been months since they last saw each other so please excuse my band members idiocy " aiden responded. kai and looked at each other.

i had jumped on aiden's back, he was startled for a minute before catching me. i could hear laughter behind us. aiden had set me down and i joined charlie, he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. " oh my god ! " mads shouted, the familiar song of taylor swift's " 22 " was playing from a nearby store.

mads grabbed my hand as savannah, tori, and jadah had ran towards us. we started to belt out the lyrics of the song, not really caring who was staring at us. i just so happened to turn around and i spotted the guys laughing at us.

charlie's eyes were fixated on me as smiled quickly at him before turning around. i stopped singing when i saw the familiar, disgusting face of the guy who was bothering me. " great singing " he smiled, i took step back. " nope, nothing to see here. walk away " kai shooed him away.

" i just want to say hi " he got all defensive. i pushed to the back by owen and jeremy. charlie had pulled me close to him as i grabbed onto his arm. savannah, mads, tori, and jadah had gotten pushed behind aiden, sebastian, and oliver. " you can't even do that, leave " kai stepped forward.

his eyes locked on mine, then glancing towards the guys before walking away. he was mumbling something but i couldn't make it out. i sighed in relief as my arm never left charlie. " fucking creep, you need to move out of that apartment " aiden shook his head.

" you can move in with us " owen offered. i sighed, i knew i needed to move but i really didn't want to do that. i liked where i lived and i didn't want to intrude on charlie and owen's personal space. " hey, you need to think of your safety " kai approached, giving me a hug.

the next morning, jeremy and i were getting ready to practice our dance. i felt so bad having to play the love interest of someone who had a partner. i had met carolynn and she completely understood that i was acting. i knew it was acting, jeremy did as well but still i felt bad.

" hey, here's some coffee " charlie handed me a cup. it was from starbucks, my order to the exact dot. " thank you, how did you know that i like this? " i was confused but thankful, i woke up late and didn't have enough time to get me any. he smiled, " i asked your brother "

i smiled at him and kissed his cheek. " that was very sweet mr. gillespie " his cheeks went red. jeremy had approached me with a smile. " here is your bagel, miss hart " he handed me a lightly toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese. i didn't eat breakfast this morning either.

" that's very kind of you mr. shada " i grabbed the bagel. sitting on the floor of the practice room and patting the spot next to me for jeremy to join me. he nodded, charlie had walked off to chat with kenny and tori about his dance with mads.

" looks like you have an admirer " jeremy teased and glanced down at the coffee that charlie had bought me. i rolled my eyes playfully at him. " he's just being nice " i replied, taking a bite of my bagel. " really, because he asked about your order, protects you from that creepy guy, and blushed when you kissed his cheek " jeremy tilted his head.

i shook my head and jeremy patted my head. " come on, we got practice " jeremy helped me up and i smiled. mads had walked in at the same time, they're going to practice their dance after us. tori had started the music and i leaned into jeremy, his hands wrapped around my waist.

we had continued the dance and during on certain move, i had my hands on jeremy's shoulder who was kneeling. i was keeping my balance with one leg, while i was doing a arabesque. i had some training in ballet so i wanted to include it in the choreography.

however, i lost my balance and i fell. jeremy tried to catch me but it was too late. jeremy had checked on me. pulling me into a hug and whispering a course of apologizes. he was soothing out my hair as charlie, mads, tori, and kenny had ran towards me.

i started to laugh into jeremy's shoulder. it did hurt but it didn't kill me. plus, i've fallen a lot worse before. i could see them shaking their heads at me. " let's try that again and please keep your balance " tori smiled at me as i nodded. jeremy helping me up and returned to the same move as before.

when she finally did walk in with a coffee and four guys with, one of them seemed to be really friendly with her. he had jet black hair and a lot taller than i was. his arms draped around her shoulder, the other three guys were enjoying our song.

i could feel myself playing harder and singing louder than before, something in me wanted kat to pay attention to me. i figured playing harder and singing louder would finally make her look towards me, jealousy is what i was feeling.

it's not like kat was my girlfriend, she could hangout with whoever she wanted but i wanted to be the one with there hands draped over her. we stopped playing and walked over towards kat, mads was smiling at me. was it obvious that i was jealous?

" guys, besides mads, this is my brother and his band. kai, oliver, sebastian, and aiden " kat introduced us. we all greeted each other. the guy who had his arm draped around her shoulder was actually her brother. i could feel my jealousy leaving as one of them complimented owen on his drum playing.

kenny had suggested that kat's brother's band play one of their songs. it was break time and we had nothing to do. kenny had allowed them to use the instruments that we use for the show to perform. i realized that kat's brother is actually the lead singer for the band.

his voice was impressive, well it should be since his sister is katrina hart. i realized that i've heard this song before, it was pretty popular on social media like two years ago. jeremy, owen, and i were bopping our heads to the song, i glanced over at kat who was mouthing the lyrics to the song.

one of guys smiled at kat, i wondered if any of them had an attraction towards her. they seemed to be around the same age and they're her brother's bands members, then they must be close with her. i continued to listen to the song but my eyes never left kat.

my thoughts taking over me as i thought about kat. she was so beautiful, even more so with the lip she had. i was sad when she had taken it out. even with out it she was attractive but she was even more attractive with it on.

i didn't even realize that the song had ended until everyone started to clap as i watched the band bow. " so, i see talent runs in the hart family " kenny commented as the band carefully put down the instruments and approached us. " this band is literally the real life sunset curve, just don't go around eating bad food " one of the choreographers had joked.

i cracked a smile, there was a couple of more minutes for break as jeremy, owen, and i approached kat's brother and the others. " you guys killed it " owen did a bro hug with sebastian, who was the drummer. " sick bass playing " jeremy commented to aiden, he was the one who was smiling at kat.

" hey, man. you're really good " i glanced to kai who wrapped an arm around my shoulder. everyone else was interested in their own conversations. " thanks, i know you're attracted to my sister. i could see it when we're playing " he glanced over to kat.

my eyes widened a little, was i that obvious? " you're probably wondering any of my group members have an attraction towards my sister. the answer is no, they think of her as their own sister but i must warn you, we must approve of you before ever thinking about going out with my sister " kai continued.

jeremy and owen had walked away, which just left me. " he has an attraction towards kat " kai turned towards oliver, sebastian, and aiden glanced at each other. they turned their backs towards me and had a little huddle. i could hear most of what they're saying.

" he's bulked up, more than any of us " oliver commented. sebastian looked over and turned back to the huddle. " he plays the guitar and sings better than us " i could see his eyes narrowing. they all nodded and aiden shook his head. " and that perfect smile? no one has that perfect smile without having flaws " he stated.

i pretended not to hear them but i could very well. " so, we like him? " kai asked. he got a chorus of " yeah's " before they all turned back around. " congrats, we approve " aiden patted my back. kai wrapped another arm around me. " hurt my sister and i will hurt you " was all he said. i walked away with a big smile, now the question was did kat have an attraction towards me.

my brother, his members, and i piled into the van that was taking us to set. i texted kenny letting him know i was bringing some guests along. he didn't mind, as long as it didn't take away from rehearsal time. i was excited for them to meet everyone. especially charlie, jeremy, and owen. the ride to the studio was about thirty minutes away but we agreed to stop at a coffee shop first. 

" hey, we keep running into each other. i see you got more body guards "  the guy from the apartment building joked as kai stepped forward. he was a lot taller and muscular than him. " not her body guard, try her brother " he challenged. i glanced around as aiden, oliver, and sebastian flanked the guys left and right side. i pulled kai behind me. " let's not do this here, we need to be somewhere " i glanced at my brother. 

his eyes glaring at the guy as aiden, sebastian, and oliver had stood behind me. i didn't want to start something in the middle of a coffee shop, plus our order was ready anyways. " you're so fucking lucky " kai rolled his eyes as i had gone to grab our order. handing them to each of them. kai wrapped an arm around my shoulder and shot one more glare at the guy before we walked out. 

normally, i would join kai in fights and protect him but i didn't know how netflix or kenny would react if they learned my brother was involved in a fight. not to mention how the media and our companies would react. it was just better to leave it alone for now. " he looks like a creep, with that stupid ass grin. who the fuck grins like that? " aiden commented as we all got back into the van. 

it made me laugh because almost what charlie had said before. the car rider was full of sebastian, oliver, kai, and aiden talking shit about the guy. they had some pretty creative insults so it was pretty funny to hear. we reached the studio and i smiled at the security guard who let us in. " damn, this is pretty nice " sebastian mumbled as we walked in. he was looking around the place, the melody of finally free was heard. 

the band was practicing, i led them to the main area where they were. i could see all four of them bobbing their heads to the song. they all seemed to be enjoying it. " the one on the drums is owen, the guy to the right is charlie, and the left is jeremy. the middle is well, madison, who you met yesterday " i whispered to them as they nodded. 

" they're pretty good " aiden commented. the end of the song was coming as kenny had taken notice of me. " kat, are these your guests? " he smiled at them and i nodded. kai was the first one to stick out his hand to shake kenny's hand. " i'm kat's brother, kai " he smiled at kenny who smiled back. aiden, sebastian, and oliver had all taken turns introducing themselves to kenny. 

owen, charlie, mads, and jeremy had finished practicing and walked over to us. " guys, besides mads, this is my brother and his band. kai, oliver, sebastian, and aiden " i introduced them to each other. " you killed it on the drums, bro " sebastian turned to owen who smiled. savannah, jadah, and tori had joined us as well. sebastian and owen were hitting it off about the drums.

it was break time and kenny had suggested that my brother and the others perform a song of theirs. i was so excited for my friends to hear them. " is it alright if we use the instruments ? " oliver glanced at kenny who nodded. by now, all of the cast and crew had joined us. they wanted to hear this performance. my brother had taken his center position with what is supposed to be luke's guitar in the show. 

sebastian had counted and on the count of three, they started to play. my brother was the lead singer of the band so he started off the song first. it was " take my hand " the first ever song kai had written for the band. it was the song that landed them a record deal with their company. aiden had done the guitar riff before the chorus, i could see everyone enjoying the music as i was mouthing along to the song. 

aiden started to sing the second verse as he joined oliver at his mic. it reminded me of jeremy and charlie singing together. oliver had done the second part of the verse as kai smiled over at his friends. the second guitar riff came as oliver had done an amazing job at it. he glanced to sebastian and smiled, this was the part where seb doesn't play the drums and sings. oliver, kai, and aiden continues to play the guitar though. 

he started singing his part, a smile present on my face as he sat back down and continued his part with the drums. oliver, aiden, and kai had stopped playing the guitar as sebastian continued to play the drums, the three clapping their hands along to the beat of the drums and sung into the mics. the cast and crew stared to clap with them as they finished the song with all the instruments. kai, being the lead singer had finished out the song. 

everyone clapped as all four of them bowed. " so, i see talent runs in the hart family " kenny commented as kai and glanced at each other. " this band is literally the real life sunset curve, just don't go around eating bad food " one of the choreographers had joked as we all laughed. there was a couple of more minutes for break time. i could see my brother, sebastian, aiden, and oliver chatting with charlie, jeremy, and owen. 

i was talking with tori, jadah, and mads. we started to laugh about random things as i turned around to notice jeremy and owen walking away from the conversation and the group huddled, their backs facing charlie. i thought it was weird but they're idiots so i really didn't think of it. i would ask about it later though. 

" hey, we all should grab dinner tonight " jadah commented as i nodded. i knew she meant with my brother and the other band members. " i'm pretty sure they would love that " i smiled, my eyes glancing them. charlie was walking away with a smile and kai was walking towards me. what in the hell were they talking about to make charlie smile so big? " what are you talking about? " kai smiled, wrapping an arm around me. 

" dinner, you and the others are in? " jadah smiled as kai nodded. she smiled as aiden came and picked me up over his shoulder. " it's time for the tickle monster " he laughed, laying me on the ground as kai, sebastian, oliver, and aiden tickled me all over. i laughed, thrashing around and trying to break free from them. 

it was stupid but every single time they see me, at random times one of them yells tickle monster and well the rest explains itself. they do it at random times so i least expect it and they always do it at the worse times. " s-stop " i laughed, a couple of times i managed to break free before. i broke free and ran towards jeremy, charlie, and owen who were near the instruments. 

" hide me, owen ! " i tried to behind him but owen picked me over his shoulder and laid me to the ground. basically hand delivering me to them. " joyner, i'm going to hurt you ! " i shouted in between laughs as kai looked to the three who were laughing, motioning for them to join in. damn, it i hate these people so much. they finally stopped because kenny had announced that break time was over. 

charlie had extended his hand towards me to help me up, i grabbed his hand and he smiled at me. we started at each other for a couple of seconds. the connection was real. " yo, love birds. stop staring at each other. kat and i need to practice " jeremy broke us up and i turned to him. i could see a smirk resting on my brother's face and jeremy also had a similar one as well. great, now everyone was seeing my attraction towards charlie. 

i promised myself to not fall for one of my costars when i booked the role but now it was getting harder when i getting so close to charlie. fuck. he made it impossible to not fall for him. he was funny, sweet, super talented, and it helped that his smile was cute. it helped that he was attractive as hell.

it was another early morning. mads and i walked into the studio with coffees in our hands, her dad had taken us to starbucks. i was telling them about the guy from my apartment building. her dad had told me that i should get a roommate or even that i could stay with them for a couple days. they had an extra bedroom but i declined. i did not want to invade their space.

" hey, charlie and owen told me there is a guys bothering you at your apartment building? " savannah had come up to me with jadah. i glanced over to charlie and owen who were talking with kenny. " what? " jeremy popped his head up and glanced over at me, waiting for me to explain. i nodded and sighed. explaining to them what happened when i moved in and last night at mcdonalds then at my building.

" do you want me to scare him? i can scare him " jeremy asked. i laughed. he couldn't scare anyone, he was too cute to do that. " you can scare anyone, sweetie " mads patted his shoulder and i laughed more. jeremy pouted a little. " you need to be careful, he seems like a real creep " sav stated as jadah and mads nodded in agreement.

i smiled and nodded at them. charlie had called mads and jeremy over to start practicing. jadah, savannah, and i had gone to the wardrobe department to get fitted for our outfits for the show. " are you guys coming to the beach later? " i asked both of them as we had entered were the outfits for our characters were stored.

" we both are, are you going swimming though because i don't want to be the only one in a swim suit ? " savannah glanced at me. i was sipping my coffee when i shook my head no. " too much of a hassle " i replied as she nodded and smiled at me. charlie, owen, and i planned that we'd get dinner with everyone then walk on the beach for sometime.

a knock was heard on the door and we all glanced to see kenny standing there. " we need kat, mads had schooling and we need someone to fill her spot at as the singer " he announced, i nodded and walked out with kenny. saying a quick goodbye to everyone. he had mentioned to me that i would be singing finally free, bright, and edge of great.

i knew the songs by heart because i would be in the recording studio with them and i hear those songs all the time. charlie, jeremy, and owen were already ready with their instruments. " alright, let's start with finally free " kenny clapped his hands i sat at the piano like mads would do as julie. i started to sing and smiled as the guys were going to come in anytime soon.

standing up when they did and charlie's voice joined mine in the chorus. then the second verse started and i was walking around what was supposed to be the stage. charlie soon joining me and then me hitting the note that julie was supposed to hit before the chorus. i could see jeremy's smile on me as he joined charlie at the mic. him and owen were doing the backing vocals.

then bridge came and i approached charlie, singing into the mic and him repeating the lyrics back to me. his eyes meeting when he repeated " and you're a part of me " i could see his eyes glancing down at my lips before i moved away from him to finish off the song. jeremy, owen, and charlie's vocals joined mine when finishing the song. i hit off the high note and the end, then finished the song.

kenny clapping his hands. " good work, bright is next " he smiled. i nodded before taking a sip of the water i had. jeremy had given me a high five and owen gave me a dumb little smile. charlie smiled at me. i had walked back to the piano, getting ready to play bright. i was trying hard not to look at charlie, i knew if i did then i would distracted like before when i forgot to read my lines.

charlie and owen had walked up to my apartment and then walked me down before picking up jeremy, mads, savannah, and jadah. charlie had found a sea side restaurant that had a beach access, so we could just eat dinner and then walk down to the beach. it was so beautiful out. dinner was just messing around and talking about how we hope the show would be popular.

we're all walking on the beach when owen had thrown me over his shoulder and ran towards the water with me. " no, no. owen please " i laughed and looked at jeremy to help me. charlie and jeremy shared a side eye before picking up mads and savannah. they were screaming for them to put them down as well. jadah was laughing but not before owen set me down and started running for her.

i splashed water at jeremy, he chased after me as mads and savannah were getting charlie. owen had set down jadah. i jumped on jeremy's back and he carried me around the beach. laughing and i held on tight to him. he set me down and we settled down a bit. "' we should head back, we've got boot camp at 7:30 " jeremy had announced, being the oldest one, he was a bit more mature and responsible than all of us.

we all agreed, mads and savannah had offered to take me back towards my apartment. promised to text in the group chat when i reached my apartment safely. i was thankful to have amazing costars who cared about me. the drive to my building was an okay drive, it was about 20 minutes, without traffic. i was hoping this guy wasn't around but at least savannah and mads had each other if he was.

we spent the next 20 minutes jamming out, jeremy was in the front seat taking videos of us screaming at the top of our lungs. he was laughing and charlie was trying not to smile. i could see him glancing back at us from the rearview mirror, our eyes locking and the butterflies came back to me. his smile was so attractive. before i could getting lost in thought, he had reached my building.

mads, savannah, and i had gotten out of the car. jeremy, jadah, owen, and charlie told me to get home safely and i thanked jeremy for dinner because he paid for me. we walked into the lobby and i glanced to the right to see four familiar people, well it was the back of their heads but i knew it was them. " kai? " i asked. his head turned around and he smiled.

" hey sis " he smiled at me i ran up to hug him, my brother was here with his band members. mads and savannah looked confused as i pulled away from the hug. " right, mads and savannah this is my younger brother, kai and this band members. sebastian, aiden, and oliver. guys, these are my costars " i introduced everyone. they all greeted each other.

i had told savannah and mads they could head back to the car, my brother and his band members could walk me up to my apartment. they both nodded and said goodnight to me before walking out of the lobby. " what are you doing here? i told you not to come! " i lightly hit my brother's shoulder.

" mom's freaking out, dad is worried, and kimmy won't stop spamming we texts. frankly, i couldn't sleeping knowing there is a creepy ass guy here. i was supposed to come alone but these idiots wanted to come " kai turned to look at his band members who threw their hands up in defense. " we wanted to see our favorite girl " sebastian smiled.

i did not have a crush on any of them and i knew they didn't have a crush on me. " i don't have enough room for all four of you " i commented. aiden ruffled my hair and shook his head. " no worries, we can get a hotel room while kai stays with you " he replied as i nodded. " oh, be here by 6:30 am tomorrow. i want to introduce you to everyone" i glanced at sebastian, aiden, and oliver who nodded.

we said our goodbyes as aiden, sebastian, and oliver had walked out of the lobby. kai had his bags already, i knew i would allow him to stay with me. we headed towards the elevator as kai had told me the band's company had given them two weeks off before tour started. he would staying the full two weeks with the band then fly back to califorina to start off the tour. it was so nice to be with my brother again.

i was practicing my lines with jadah and mads. the boys were rehearsing the first song, now or never. kenny was listening to us reading. i glance over quickly to the boys who were jamming out on their instruments. charlie was looking good in a muscle tee and sweat dripping down his forehead. stop it kat, you need to focus. i thought to myself.

" kat, go " mads nudged me and i snapped out of my thoughts. all of them stared at me like i was crazy. a smile appeared on kenny's face. he probably knows who i was staring at. " yes, he's handsome but focus kat " kenny teased me as i blushed a little. mads and jadah let out a couple of laughs. catching the attention of the boys.

i blushed even more, i've never blushed this much about a guy. " let's just continue reading " i mumbled as kenny, mads, and jadah laughed even more. we continued to read our lines for a while, with kenny directing us on how to make it better. the guys had stopped practicing when they walked over to us.

owen laid his head on my lap and closed his eyes. jeremy had sat down next to mads and charlie sat on the side of jadah. i subconsciously start playing with owen's hair. " owen and i are going to get dinner, does anyone want to come with us? " charlie glanced over at me. mads and jadah declined, mad had something to do with her dad and jadah was going with savannah to dinner.

jeremy was going to video call with his fiancé. " i'll go, i'm hungry " i spoke up as owen opened his eyes and charlie smiled at me. " let's go! " owen stood up and threw me over his shoulder. i started to laugh and charlie trailed behind us. laughing and taking a video of owen messing around with me. " no videos ! " i shouted at charlie in a teasing way.

we reached the car, charlie was driving and we're going to mcdonalds. owen finally put me down and ruffled my hair before allowing me to take the passenger seat. " such a gentleman mr. joyner " i teased as he laughed. i put my aux cord and jammed out to my playlist. owen was jamming with me, screaming the songs at the top of our lungs. charlie just shook his head at the both of us.

charlie pulled into the mcdonalds parking lot and owen very graciously opened the door for me. i thanked him as we all walked into the restaurant. " i'll pay for the both of you " i offered. charlie and owen shook their heads. my wallet was already out when charlie snatched it away from me. " nope, i'm paying " he announced. putting my wallet in his pocket. " both of you are wrong, i'm paying. deal with it " owen pulled out his wallet.

i smiled at the both of them. " hey! it's nice seeing you here " a voice called out. all three of us turned around. fuck, it was the guy from my apartment building. " hi " i said a little awkwardly. his smile dropped after seeing charlie and owen with me. " hey, man. what's up? " charlie eyed him up and down. i don't know if he was trying to size him up or trying to get a feel of him.

" oops, we're next. bye " owen shrugged and charlie placed a hand on my back, nudging me forward. charlie kept his hand on my back as i was ordering, owen stood behind me. the guy from the apartment building was lingering in the back. which was probably owen was in the back of me. owen did end up paying for the food which i felt bad about. butterflies were in my stomach.

we had finished eating. charlie and owen kept an eye on me during dinner. " i didn't like his grin, who grins like that? " charlie was talking about the guy. we'd decided to drive around vancouver before heading back to my apartment. " i agree, be careful. he seems like trouble kat " owen nodded from the back seat.

" i will " i smiled at them. i was thankful to have them around. i could only imagine jeremy's face if he was around. if i thought charlie and owen were protective, jer was worse. but like mads said before, his older brother side came out because he's older than me, charlie, mads, owen, and jadah. i was thankful to have him as an older brother figure.

the three of us decided to do some shopping for a bit, charlie drove us to the nearest mall and parked the car. this time charlie opened the door for me. these guys were really ruining other guys for me because if they don't have the manners of charlie or owen then i don't want them. charlie was on my left and owen was on my right. we entered the mall and my eyes widened.

a cute, little plush store greeted us as we entered. i grabbed onto owen and charlie's hand, pulling them towards the store. i could hear the laughter from them both as i spotted a penguin. i managed to let go of owen's hand but continued to hold charlie's, i didn't even realized what i was doing. until i noticed, immediately dropping his hand in embarrassment. owen had taken a picture of me.

" i'll buy it for you " charlie offered. i shook my head, " nope, not happening " charlie took the penguin from my hands and headed towards the register. i protested as owen, picked me over his shoulder again and carried me out of the store. i pouted but accepted it because he was a lot taller and i was never going to win. charlie came out of the store a couple of seconds later, with a smile on his face.

damn it, he gave me the butterflies. we decided to head for a couple of more stores. i enjoyed my time with them. i really wished the others could have joined us but there was always another day. " hey, text us when you get in your apartment safely " charlie told me as we're heading towards my apartment building. i nodded. " oh and if he bothers you then call us or jer " owen commented from the back seat.

i nodded again. the drive to my apartment was not far. charlie, owen, and i made plans to head to the beach tomorrow. charlie had offered to invite the others and i agreed. i said thank you to charlie and owen as they dropped me off at my apartment building. i was hoping this guy wasn't around but i had a feeling that he was. " hey, i wanted to talk to you at mcdonalds but your scary bodyguards prevented that " he was at the elevators.

fuck, this guy will not leave me alone. i didn't say a word to him as the doors opened to the elevator. i stepped in and he did as well. " what's wrong? what did i do? " he continued to pester me. damn this guy was annoying, so was charlie, jer, and owen but they were cute annoying. he was just plain annoying. " i just don't feel like talking, i'm tired " i finally responded. he nodded and the doors opened to our floor.

" so, about that date? " he smiled at me. i already told his guy no and he asked me again, fuck. " i'm good, thank you. i don't want to go on a date " i left him and sped walked to my apartment. i looked behind me to make sure he wasn't following me and he wasn't. thank god. i quickly opened the door to my apartment and shut it with the lock. i texted owen and charlie, that i was in my apartment but also about our interaction.

neither of them were happy about it. charlie told me that i was not allowed to walk towards my apartment alone anymore. that i needed to have jer, owen, him, or any other cast member walk with me. i quickly texted kimmy and my parents my problem. my dad had told me to buy a security lock, he didn't trust the chain bolt on the door.

my parents apparently told my younger brother because he offered to take off his band for a couple weeks to stay with me. kimmy was worried, so was my mother. my brother was 17 years old in a rock band, he was literally the real life version of sunset curve but my parents were supportive of him if he did online school and got his high school degree.

he agreed and well, his band got signed to a company just weeks before i signed to my label. he was supposed to go on tour in the next couple of weeks. i missed my brother and wanted him to come but i knew his band was important. i opted to buying a new lock for my door before anyone spends money on a flight to stay with me. i also knew i had my cast members so i wasn't afraid.

boot camp was starting. it was a little different for me because i already had training in dancing and vocals. i was sitting in the back of the dance studio just watching everyone. the main cast members were getting dancing lessons. " no, no. you're doing it wrong " michael, one of the choreographers pointed out to the cast. he had been doing this the entire time but not really correct their mistakes.

i guess he did not understand that most of them have never had any dancing experience prior. i rolled my eyes as michael was getting frustrated. tori was not around and either was kenny. julie's dad was getting ready to call him out but i beat him to it.

" well, maybe if you actually taught them properly then it would not be taking all day for them to learn the first part " i challenged him. i knew he could not tell me anything because i was a dancer myself. " well by all means, miss hart. teach them " michael rolled his eyes and stated sarcastically.

i smiled at him and heading towards the front. " gladly. your legs are too far apart, bring them closer " i announced. repeating the move that was giving them problems. they copied me and did the move perfectly.

i ran through the next few steps, slowly and correcting their mistakes. it only took them about 30 minutes to get the hang of the first part of the dance. michael was not happy about that.

a smirk appeared on my face as i sent a wink to michael. " let's take five " i clapped my hands. they had been working hard, trying to learn the moves for the last 2 hours or so.

" thanks for teaching us kat. michael is a terrible teacher " mads stated. savannah and jadah nodded in agreement. " tori and the others are so much better " sav chimed in. it was true. they cared about teaching their students, michael expected them to be pros within an hour.

" its not a problem, i'm happy to help " i smiled at them. charlie, jeremy, and owen had approached us. " he's so annoying " owen commented and motioned to michael with his head. he was talking to his assistant about how terrible dancers they were.

i rolled my eyes again, what the hell was his problem. " do not worry about. you guys aren't terrible dancers, he's just a terrible instructor " i sneered in his direction. i said it louder than i should have which made him glance in our direction.

we all looked in different directions, trying to make it look like it wasn't me. he knew it was. charlie was trying so hard to not laugh. " hey, what happened to your lip ring? " he was the first one to notice it was missing.

" oh, netflix thought it was too mature for the show so they requested that i remove it for the time being " i explained. i watched as charlie's expression for a moment turned disappointed. i wondered why he had that look.

it changed when kenny had walked through the door with tori and the main choreographers. they had been in meetings so, michael who was just an extra choreographer, was in charge. " let's see what the cast has so far " kenny smiled.

michael had walked towards the front. i stood in the back as the music started. my head nodding to the beat and watching their movements. a smile appearing on my face. all of their mistakes were fixed.

" nice work on teaching them and good job " kenny clapped his hands and smiled at michael before turning towards the cast. michael had taken credit for teaching them. " actually, it was kat that taught us because we couldn't get the movements down with michael " charlie spoke up.

the other cast nodded in agreement. " well, then nice work kat " kenny glanced at me. a smile appearing on my face as tori looked proud of me. i was taking a mental note of thanking charlie later.

jeremy and i are recording our duet. our characters were supposed to have an attraction to each other. it was called " stupid in love " and originally there wasn't supposed to be a dance but i decided to make one.

kenny loved the dance and added it into the show. the whole premise of the attraction was my character is able to see the phantoms because she was with julie during the time they all meet. she falls for reggie's personality.

it was going to be the same like luke and julie's dance sequence but my character was going to have a dream about it. " let's get to recording " the producer smiled. jeremy was a little nervous about doing the song.

it was the longest song that he would be singing in the album. only a part of the song would be included in the show but the full length version would be released in the album. " hey, you're going to do great " i glanced at jeremy.

charlie, owen, and mads would join us later. he smiled genuinely at me. he was starting off the song so he would record first. i could tell he was holding back his vocals. i started to mouth the lyrics with from the other side of the booth.

he smiled before gaining a little confidence and showed more power in his voice. i gave him a thumbs up. after a couple of minutes, he had finished. the producer had gotten really good vocals from him.

" nice job " i high fived him. it was my turn to enter the booth. i drank a bit of water before pumping myself up to sing. i pulled out my stress ball. i was nervous about singing this in front of jeremy and new producers.

i was used to the producers i had in los angeles so i wasn't nervous then but these are new people and i wanted to make a good impression. when i get nervous, i start playing with my fingers. using a stress ball helps me focus on what i needed to do and not so much my nerves.

i could see charlie, mads, and owen entering the studio as i was starting to sing. my eyes meeting with charlie who bopping his head to the music. i squeezed my stress ball more. getting my self lost in the music.

pretty soon i had finished my parts, the producers loved it from the start to finish. charlie, mads, owen, and jeremy clapped as i exited the studio. " nice work, kat. now we just the two of you together " the producer smiled.

kenny was really happy with the way it was coming out. jeremy and i entered the booth together. our voices blending well together when we started to sing.

we smiled at each other, singing the chorus together and the last part of the song. we finished and walked out of the studio together. " that was so good! " mads cheered us on. jeremy and i hugged.

owen patted jeremy on the back, we pulled away from the hug and charlie picked me up and spun me around. " nice work " he stated. i was laughing as he put me down shortly and mads hugged me.

i ended up saying bye to them, i had the rest of the day free. charlie, mads, owen, and jeremy were going to practice some more. tomorrow i had to read lines with mads. owen, charlie, jeremy, mads, and savannah were coming over tonight.

we're going to have a movie night, my apartment was bigger than any of theirs so it just made sense to have it over at mine. since, i have free time, i had texted all of them to send me what they wanted from the convenience store.

that's what i was going to buy right now, there was a store about three minutes away and it was pretty easy to walk. i quickly sent a text through the group chat with charlie, jeremy, owen, and mads. just letting them know where i was going.

if something happened then at least they would know where i was going at the time. jeremy had texted me to be safe and to text in the group chat when i made it to my apartment safely.

he was such an older brother figure, i loved him so much. i had gotten to my apartment, a crew member had driven me. i thanked him before heading towards my apartment. i wanted to change first and then head out.

i quickly changed into shorts and a baggy shirt, it was so much better than outfit from before. i grabbed my wallet and locked the door before heading towards the elevator. " hey, are you new here? " a voice called out to me.

i looked up my phone and glanced at the male who approached the elevator. " no, just visiting for three months " i answered without a second thought. i looked back at my phone, not wanting to make small talk.

" oh, i saw you with a bunch of bags. anyways, you're really pretty " he grinned. it made me uncomfortable, like he was trying to hard to appear attractive. " uh, thanks " man did not get the hint.

he stepped closer to me, he looked like charlie a little bit. the difference was charlie didn't need to try and be attractive. " let me take you out tonight " he still had his stupid grin. " nope, busy tonight and every other night " i popped the " p "in nope and got on the elevator. pressing the button quickly so the doors would close.

it was move in day. i had arrived invancouver, canada just a mere hour ago. i had booked the role of hailey waters in a new netflix show. honestly, i was feeling excited about this project. kenny ortega has worked on so many popular movies and tv shows before, it was amazing and a privilege to be working with him.

the show i booked was called " julie and the phantoms ", i play the talented yet recluse and shy hailey waters. the backstory was, she lost her talent scout father and lost her friends because of it. she becomes a recluse who lost her spark in music, but starts to play again after befriending julie and the phantoms.

this was the first ever acting gig, i wanted things to go well. it was a perfect role for me because hailey is really musically gifted in song writing, dancing, and singing. i was an up coming singer and i had been known for posting choreography videos on tiktok and youtube. kenny had told me when i booked the part, that i was meant to play her.

hearing that from kenny ortega made my entire year. i was more nervous about meeting the rest of the cast and crew. auditioning for the role of hailey was very competitive. hundreds and hundreds of young singers, dancers, and actresses around the world had auditioned. kenny and the other crew members could not decide who to pick as hailey so they picked who would be her last.

i know of my costars and who is playing who. i was just nervous about meeting them. kenny had been texting me, easing my nerves. i still could not help but worry about them liking me or not. i would be meeting all of them at dinner tonight. kenny had insisted we do it as a team because we'd be working with each other for the next three and a half months.

i sat the last of my suitcases down in my rented apartment, my company had insisted that i get one with view. it sure did have a view, a water front view. my management picked it out and honestly it was pretty cute. they had done a great job with this one. i had packed two large suitcases of clothing, shoes, makeup products, and other necessities that a girl may need.

the sound of my cellphone ringing had broken my thoughts, i pulled it out of my jean pocket and smiled. it was my manager, kimberly. she was in her mid thirties, no kids, and has a husband who works in the music industry. i asked before why she never had any kids, she said work took up her time and that i was her child. " did you make it safely? " she asked.

i was already picking out my outfit for tonight. " yes, kimmy. you can stop worrying " i smiled through the phone. she sighed and paused for a second. " i can't help but worry. you're an eighteen year old, staying alone in a new country. i can only hope that you make fast friends with your costars so you are not alone " her tone was worried.

kimmy was like a second mom to me, she always carried for me when my mother could not travel. she had been my manager since i got signed to vinyl records, two years ago. i started out as a dancer and actress but transitioned into a singer recently. my ep, sour & sweet had gone viral on tiktok because of one song called " greedy " that basically put me on the map as a singer.

we had talked for another thirty minutes, she finally let me go after lecturing me to be careful and to not give out my phone number to any cute canadians. i was not supposed to give out my number anyways. i could but i needed to be careful who i gave it to and that person must sign a non disclosure agreement regarding me and my career. the only acceptation to this rule if the person was also famous.

kenny had rented a bus to transport the cast and crew places. especially in large group setting like this dinner. i was instantly greeted by everyone. " aren't you katrina hart? your ep went viral on tiktok " madison reyes, who plays julie and my new best friend in the show, asked. she was seated in the back of the bus with three girls. " yeah, that's me " i smiled at her.

" i love your song, greedy. i'm jadah. i'm playing flynn " the girl with braids in her hair spoke up. so far, madison and jadah seemed so nice. " your dancing is amazing, i'm tori. the choreographer for the show " she greeted me. i flashed a smile towards her and glanced towards the other girl that was seated with them. " it's nice to meet you, i'm savannah and i play carrie in the show " she greeted me.

thank goodness these cast members are nice. " nice to meet you all " all of the other cast members were chatty. " hey, we should turn on some music ! " a crew member from the front of the bus announced, everyone cheered. the atmosphere was so light and happy. a familiar beat started to play, it was greedy. jadah, madison, tori, and savannah were hyping me up to sing.

madison holding her hand like a microphone and i sung into her pretend mic as the whole bus cheered. the song becoming louder and the bus was actually screaming my song. i could not believe that so many people here knew my song. i knew it was popular but to have my new cast and crew knowing the lyrics made me smile.

our mini jam session had ended when the bus stopped outside of the restaurant, no wonder why kenny asked us to dress up. it was a fancy place with white linen table cloths and roses acted as the center piece.  " here, let me help you " a voice announced. i was having trouble stepping down the steps of the bus. i was afraid of my black dress riding up.

" thank you. i'm katrina, i play hailey " i smiled thankfully at him. he had black hair that combed over to the right. he covered the front of my dress with his jacket as another male on the side of the bus was helping the girls come off the bus. most of us girls were wearing heels and short dresses. " no problem. i'm jeremy and i play reggie " the one behind me stated.

i glanced over at the blonde who held onto my hand. " i'm owen and i play alex " he greeted me. these were two of the phantom members. jeremy had placed his jacket back on and patted the back of another male, his hair was a little long and his smile was perfect. " this idiot is mr. charlie gillespie, he plays luke " jeremy laughed.

he earned a whine from charlie and owen chuckled a little. a smile appeared on my face. " if you're going to introduce me then compliment me " charlie glanced over at jeremy who continued to laugh. " nice to meet you though " charlie glanced at me with a smile. " like wise " i smiled back as madison, jadah, tori, and savannah were calling me to sit next to them.

i hurried along, make sure to not trip in my heels. that would be embarrassing to do it front of my new friends. so far, i actually liked my staff and crew. the ones i've met were so nice.

madison and jadah insisted that i sat between them. they're so cute, like little sisters that i've always wanted. both of them were asking questions about my life and music.

it was so cute how they were so interested in me. i glanced across the table to see booboo, charlie, owen, and jeremy having fun. laughing and joking around with each other.

charlie's laugh was absolutely contagious, it was so cute and distinct. i quickly looked away when charlie's eyes met with mine. madison was asking another question which i happily answered.

the rest of the night was spent with questions, kenny saying a speech and cheers to starting the show and hoping that it is successful. i noticed that jeremy was very concerned but our dresses.

madison had told me that he had a fiancé, he is really in love with her but it made an older brother side come out with us. i smiled, that's probably why he helped me coming out of the bus.

he understood, he's used to taking care of his fiancé so it came natural to take care of his female crew and staff members. savannah, jadah, and madison had made plans to come over to my apartment.

i was happy to have made friends with them. i was happy to have been picked for the role, i already felt a sense of belonging and security with this cast and crew. i quickly took out my phone and texted kimmy.

at the same time i also texted my mom. she was worrying about me being in a new place alone. she prayed so hard that i would make friends with everyone, i knew she'd be happy to learn i met some amazing friends.
