!!important: i thought i'd do something different with this muse this time around, so i'm going to be posting open starters for plots that i would like to be filled for minhyuk instead of making a plots page that may be overlooked. now, that doesn't mean that some of the threads won't need additional plotting (i.e. certain pre-established relationships), but you can contact me before replying to show that you're interested and we can fill each other in on what would have to be known or i will contact you after your response if there is anything i think your muse would need to know for the thread. thank you for taking time to read!!!

!!important notice; i’ve decided to revamp my old au muse with a new fc for a fresh start, so any threads under this one will have a different fc and name being used than what is now being used! i would have deleted the threads but there was a good amount and, quite frankly, I didn’t want to lose the interactions he had! So previous interactions can still be valid but just be aware of the fc change!

❝ There I was, sitting on top of the world in a coin laundry.❞
He is a dreamer at his worst but a realist at his best, a closeted mind with his lips zipped shut. The smell of bleach and detergent is his only comfort, the marking of a mindless routine that he persists in following everyday in the hopes of drowning his thoughts in the washer. He hides behind friendly conversation and curved lips, but  the weariness shows in the lines underneath his eyes and in his unkempt appearance.  He wants more than this for himself.
                                                       His name is Kang Minhyuk.

With a bag of clothes in one hand and her cane in the other, the visually impaired girl had made her way inside of the laundromat. It was her first time coming to a place like this; Jinri had always washed her clothes by hand and she had been told many times that she should try the machine instead. Heaving a soft sigh she guided herself to the front desk and chuckled sheepishly. "A-Ah.. excuse me, this is my first time coming here. Can you help me? I'm.. visually impaired."
       Zitao’s eyes darted up briefly as he heard the bell above the front door tinkling to inform him of a customer, quickly standing up and straightening the crooked name-tag pinned to his chest to at least look presentable enough to seem like he was paying attention to his work rather than dozing off. Business was slow on days like these, or on any day really, yet he still splayed a smile on his face and opened his mouth to greet the customer properly— though this time, he was stunned into silence for a few moments. It wasn’t that there was anything mind blowing about the new customer walking in, but his eyes had fallen on the cane swaying to and fro as she made her way into the laundromat. It wasn’t often— or ever —that someone who was blind ventured into the shop, so he was unsure of what to do in the predicament. Would she be able to find her way around? Wash her clothes? Just thinking about being in her situation had him hyper aware of everything in the shop, worrying about every little thing and if she’d be able to figure it out on her own. Should I just do her laundry for her?
       Suddenly, the female is at the front desk and Zitao finally shakes himself out of his thoughts to pay her attention like any other good employee would. A polite smile spreads across his lips to appear more friendly despite her being unable to see it. “No worries, I’ll take care of all of your laundry needs. Showing you the ropes around here is included in that, of course.” He paused after speaking, not quite sure how to go about asking if she could handle everything on her own. He didn’t want to appear insensitive about her condition because he wanted to do anything but that, but in all his time at the laundromat he had never seen someone visually impaired like this, and he wasn’t quite sure how to talk to them about it. "You know, I can always wash your laundry for you if you want me to. …Unless you want me to show you around instead."

OPEN STARTER;
       Zitao lets out a soft and incoherent mumble as he nuzzles into the warmth of his coat, sheilding himself from the cool breeze of the winter weather clouting his face from where he sits in the outdoor seating area of a coffee shop. The weather, added to his several layers and warm coffee in his belly, has him suddenly feeling very sluggish, tired and content enough to make him consider taking a nap right here despite the ruckus of people on the streets surrounding him.
       It’s with a yawn, however, that he decides that he’s taking his nap right here and now— no matter what. He crosses his arms and nudges his head into the nook that’s formed, face pressed into the fur of his hood as his eyes easily start to fall shut. He’s sure no one will mind him occupying the table for a nap, considering most people weren’t crazy about sitting outside in weather like this. A content smack of his lips and he’s scooting closer to the table, unaware of his movement sending his half full coffee cup toppling over the edge of the table, the cap popping off and the lukewarm liquid splashing all over the shoes of a person that was trying to walk past him.

Can you reblog this if you wouldn’t mind having pre-established relationships? I’m looking for RP partners, but everyone I approach replies as if they were strangers, and my muse needs friends. p(´⌒`。q)

He waits for the girl to get by him and to the stalls before he slips away and moves toward the sinks, eyes focused straight ahead due to the awkward tension hanging in the air. He makes a point of moving toward the farthest sink, elbowing the button of the hand dryer beside it to provide noise out of courtesy in case the girl was still embarrassed about him being close by when she was taking care of-- things.
The situation was bizarre, because never had he been subject to being in the same bathroom with a girl-- in public for that matter-- but he kept himself preoccupied with washing his hands, only allowing himself to dwell on the situation with a sigh of relief once he could make out the sound of the flush of a toilet over the noise of running water and the dryer. Zitao can't help it once he finishes drying off his hands, he finds himself unable to hold back a loud bark of laughter at the absurdity of everything-- though then he becomes self-conscious because what if she thinks he's laughing at her? "I'm.. sorry." He calls, rather awkwardly to the stalls when he realizes she has to have heard him. "I promise I wasn't laughing at you, it's just this whole situation is a tad bit bizarre."
Iris had nearly forgotten her bursting urge to pee due to the whole awkward ordeal, but when the male notified her of a reason she’d be in the men’s restroom instead of the female’s, she decides to use that instead of the foolish reason of just not looking at the signs. The feline bats her eyes before nodding shyly, waddling awkwardly over to one of the stalls before dropping her pants and underwear to do her deed.
This was the first time the female was ever embarrassed to go to the bathroom. It was slightly humiliating knowing the male was right outside and could hear her. “Put that on the list of embarrassing things, Iris.” The young girl mumbled to herself, wiping herself clean and pulling up the material to cover herself again, awkwardly waiting a bit before flushing.

"I'm sure you'll survive without your laptop, you won't be here too long." Zitao casts a weary glance at the male, gaze staying on him for a while as if he expects him to complain further, but surprisingly nothing else slips out of the guys mouth. An exhale and he reaches for his cellphone, scrolling through his contacts in search for his boss. He's glad when the silence settles in the room for moment so he can gather his thoughts about the situation, though it-- of course-- doesn't last long before the stranger is opening their mouth yet again to bother Zitao. Or at least, it's how it seems when he can feel the beginnings of a pounding sensation forming in his temples, the symptom slowly traveling into the middle of his forehead for a headache to ensue.
"Okay look, there probably is one even if I haven't seen it before... but this isn't really an emergency. I was directly told that as long as it wasn't anything that would definitely result in death that we would be using the front door and the front door only. You're welcome to search for another one, but either way we still aren't using it." Honestly, Zitao didn't even know if they had another door in the laundromat-- and maybe he should have known considering it was possible that worst case scenarios could happen-- but the shop never was very organized. Maybe there was a door behind that huge pile of boxes always stacked up and pressed against the wall in the back room, which was probably most definitely a fire code violation, but it wasn't his job nor his place to tell the manager how to run his business. He wouldn't want to be on the mans bad side for taking things out of place. "Look just. I need to call so entertain yourself on your own for a moment."
It’s not like he hadn’t expected the outcome. The stranger didn’t seem to be the type to repair a door, but he had held false hope that he would somehow magically fix the door and he could be on his way. “Aw jeez, really?” there’s disappointment lacing his tone and he visibly slumps his shoulders, sighing as he makes his way over to the seating area. He promptly takes a seat there, leaning back as a hand ruffles his locks in frustration and his hand toys with the phone in his hand. “The one time I don’t bring my laptop too.” he muses to himself, fingers tapping against the chair. Ji remains silent for as long s he can muster, distracting himself with his phone contacts, list of applications, calendar; anything to keep his mind off the situation and make the time go faster. He lasts five minutes before he speaks again, head tilted back as he slouches in the seat, watching the other.
“And how long is that going to take? Are you sure you don’t have a fire exit? Isn’t that illegal?”
