understanding how the body moves and operates really helps when i comes to drawing it. i hope that helps.

i have a hard time drawing just a single image, my brain thinks in comic panels (probably sense i’ve been drawing them for so long). i’ve definitely been kicking around the idea of sketching up some of the book scenes. i really would love to draw up the Inn scene from book two.

Totally random question, how are you doing after going from Captive Prince, to Dark Heir to Lies of P, three medias that can be heart-wrenching? :')

I've been seen, I've been perceived! I wasn't sure what the connecting thread was between these for the longest time, but I think you nailed it. I love to feel things deeply. Everything that Damen and Laurent go through, the trauma that they have to overcome before they can be happy together. EVERYTHING that is going on in Dark Heir. (That ending! Pacat hates me personally, I swear.) Lies of P had me so introspective, the way it tackles humanity and loss... P is very special to me.

To answer your question, 'Yes, I'm doing well.' I'm feeling inspired constantly; I wish I had more time to get all the ideas in my head out onto paper.

Sooooo I initially was only going to draw that hug. But the I got thinking about the scene as a whole… and well, you see what happened. Throughout Obligation my mental image of Auguste really changed. Where he start out as a long haired pretty boy with endless confidence and warmth, he became someone far more interesting and far more human. I wanted to draw him to be handsome but in a tired way, a REALY tired way. The man might actually make a good decision if he gets some prober sleep. (He is really trying to hold it together in this scene)
