Originally, he had a super big crush on Laurie. But there wasn't much to build on that. I imagine him looking like this shy nerd but in reality he's a little demon lol, (even though I feel like I unintentionally designed him more like a middle aged dad which I'm not happy about ...but eh) like he knows exactly what he's doing. He ends up framing Yuwen for like severely bullying him (or maybe even Laurie idk yet) and shows it to Taylor and she's like wtaf (Wes ALSO doesn't get Taylor in the end, she finds out and it only solidifies her : NO boys for a while...)

Watching how drawn out and emotional Laurie's scene is with Dan during the championship compared to the rather short and sweet version in dan's episode really interests me. I don't know whether to interpret that as something sad or happy. Like oh my gosh! That's so cute that Laurie got so much out of the conversation despite Dan not really saying much, his words mean a lot to her! Or, oh wow Laurie may feel so depraved of genuine support she took that interaction as something so much bigger than what it actually was.

Also fuck you kai's dad for not putting Laurie in the line up like Bruh you're putting too much pressure on your OWN daughter now ur kicking off Laurie and tryna replace Dan like die (JK I know he's not bad...but still)

They are my guilty pairing lol. Like they just middle schooler now and still dont know what they doing when having relationship. It took Yuwen a week to get a gf and she break up with him.

Maybe in some future like in high school or something, Laurie and Yuwen could be together when they finally mature. I mean Laurie did kinda have a crush on him. Maybe Yuwen could apologies for what he did to her and they idk give chance to each other.

I like it for Laurie to fall first and Yuwen fall harder but everything is slowburn. Really feel like Yuwen never date anyone after Taylor. He change but didnt give a second chance to himself. And Laurie still have a crush on that little Yuwen. Not much but still tiny crush, like really tiny🤏🏼

I totally get what you're saying and I TOTALLY CAN GET BEHIND THAT!!! thank you for being brave, dear ainnur .... I can somewhat agree yes. Though I would say I could only imagine them in middle school, more as like... Yuwen going "yeah why not ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠˘⁠_⁠˘⁠)⁠┌" and Laurie is like "OMG a bf! I finally got one! :D" they don't ACTUALLY like each other, they just like the idea of having a bf/gf. if they were to date in middle school mostly in this hypothetical scenario, it would be like that ... Idunno how to explain how I vision their dynamic so I just drew it.

In highschool however, I imagine Laurie has a bit more confidence , and Yuwen is SLIGHTLY more mature. And they kind of banter casually like.

Yuwen: oh my god I remember when you fell flat on your face when we played softball, that video is still up it's priceless!

- when Yuwen invited Taylor over to his house for the first time, he wanted to impress her by making cookies but he's straight dog shit at baking and bought store ones instead , claiming he made them but they were so good so she always requests them and his allowance is GONE every week to keep up that charade lol

- if / when frank and Vanessa date: Frank feels insane guilt because he subconsciously starts giving special treatment to Rochelle.

- Laurie is horrible at literally everything and constantly fixates on random hobbies / interests to try and find something that sticks after quitting softball

- Laurie's long bangs were originally inspired by her sisters bangs, she really wanted to be like her sister and thought she was super cool but one day they got into a fight and that made Laurie decide to cut them at the sleepover lol.

- ira will eat stuff off the ground cuz sometimes in his imagination it gives him power ups lol (he has a great immune system, compared to Taylor)

- Laurie makes lots of puns and everyone hates her for it.

- Laurie is terrified of bugs, could even be a lady bug, butterfly, you name it. Yuwen terrorizes her with grass hoppers lol

- Laurie does NOT play when it comes to mermaids. When they have a pool party and they play mermaids if you're not in character Laurie will drown you (Yuwen learned this the hard way)
