Sam was done.

Not in the sense that he made a mistake (although he was conscious of those he made before), no, he was done.

It had started with Dream. It was little things at first, like throwing his clock into the lava constantly, burning himself over and over and over until Sam had to intervene, physically pulling the crazed man away from the barrier. He felt his fuse lighting, but calmed himself. Not too long after, Bad had visited and requested for Dream ro recieve a new clock. Sam had considered it, but ultimately, he refused.

Then Tommy came.

It was only supposed to be a quick visit, the boy had said, but there was a security incident, and Sam had to lock down the prison. Tommy had screamed to be let out, but Sam couldn't let him. Not when Dream could easily get out also. It had taken weeks but finally he had found and fixed the problem, finally Tommy could lea-

TommyInnit was slain by Dream

He didn't feed Dream that day.

After that, he had to tell everyone.

Tubbo, Ranboo and Jack were the first ones to know, and they kept asking and asking and asking: "Who's fault was it? Who's fault was it? Who's fault was it?"

He had written down in Ranboo's book stating exactly who's fault it was.

Sam is the reason Tommy died

Soon after, Hannah had came to him with a problem. Her house was covered in red plants, vines, twisting and turning, they were quite obviously from the Egg. He had begged her not to go back, not to go back, not to go back.

She went back.

He decides to lie to Bad, in a last attempt to save her, it worked, but he wasn't sure if she was safe from the Egg's control.

Fucking. Quackity.

He wanted to kill Dream, and so did Sam! So they made a deal, go to the prison and kill Dream, kill Dream, kill Dream-

Kill Dream.

No. No he couldn't do that. And now Quackity was yelling the words, over and over again.

"JUST KILL HIM! TOMMY WOULD WANT HIM DEAD!"

"Tommy wanted Dream in prison."

"...I'm sorry for that, I didn't mean to get so... aggressive."

Quackity had started to leave but he turned back.

"A word of warning, though, Las Nevadas has no place for emotions, Sam."

That, Sam could agree with.

Then he came back.

Quackity wanted to visit Dream, with his fucking weapons.

Sam couldn't let him in, it was against procedures to let armed people in, it was against procedure, it was against procedure, it was-

It was also Sam's fault Tommy died.

So, he let Quackity in. And if he heard Dream screaming for help, it was just his bad hearing.

Why did Ponk have to fall into this? Why couldn't he just respect the rules? Put the key cards back, Ponk, put them back!

But he didn't. So, he had to take them back. He pulled the lever, slowly releasing lava. Put them back Ponk, put them back!

Ponk screamed and pleaded for Sam to stop as the lava burned through his skin and shoved the key cards back. He stopped.

He put them back, he put them back-

Ten. Ponk had given back ten. There were eleven key cards.

"What are you gonna do Sam? Kill me?"

"I could take something much worse than a cannon life."

"What? What could possibly be wor-"

"I could take one of your arms."

"Wha- but, Sam, dude, that's my arm-"

"You have another one."

"Don't be ridiculous, Sam- Sam? Sam?!"

The red banquet then happened. Ponk had looked so beautiful, giving his speech.

"People change like the tides in the sea."

Ponk poured his drink over Sam's head.

Oh. That was meant for him, wasn't it?

Then the lava came down, and Sam briefly wondered if this was how Dream felt, trapped.

Then, Quackity with Techno and Purpled came, just after Foolish was killed by Antfrost and Antfrost in turn killed by Puffy.

Then Tommy betrayed him. He was letting Ghostbur in to visit Dream, and suddenly, Tommy was there, and he found out, Tommy was going to kill Dream.

He refused to let Ghostbur out, and once again, a visitor died in the cell, and in turn bringing back Wilbur.

Finally, it led to here.

He was walking, walking, walking. Not sure where he was going. He hadn't seen a soul for miles. He assumed he was no where near any countries. Maybe he could just. Finally let it all out, and he did.

Something he hadn't done since he was a child. He felt himself glow, once, twice...

Boom.

He smiled shakily, looking at the destroyed land around him, blood dripping off his face, his arms, his legs...

He wandered a bit more, and found a tree. He leaned up against it and closed his eyes.
