New Year and first first eco pod shipment going out today via UPS. About 20-25kgs and a great way to kick start the year and another £20-25 that will be donated to Phyllis Tuckwell as a result.

Just wanted to thank one of our pod recyclers Lirra and her family for this wonderful home made Christmas card which was delivered through our letter box this festive period. A lovely card to receive with grateful thanks.

2023 Wrapped

As we draw to a close for 2023 I am delighted to confirm that we have now sent off 616.58 KG's of pods to be industirally composted.

As importantly, that has allowed us to have £616.58 donated to Phyllis Tuckwell in total so far. That's great news, and we already have at least 20 kg boxed up and ready to go on the 2nd January to kick-start 2024.

Thank you to everyone who has been dropping pods off. It's amazing.

One reminder though, please, we cannot accept the Nespresso aluminium pods. We continue to receive them, and I then have to manually remove them from the bin and then take them down to the dump to recylce them in the metal containers, so it just adds to my workload to ensure we don't contaminate the Eco pods.

Another big shipment of 4 x 10-15 kilo boxes ready for collection. There’s been a fairly frequent stream of drops offs recently and I’ve had to wait for a break in the weather to get these scheduled for pick up.

Thanks to everyone who continues to drop off the pods. With all funds raised going to Phyllis Tuckwell it’s a great way to do good, both sustainably, but also for the very worthy local hospice.

Unexpected final shipment of the year after an influx of capsules, and it’s a big one. It could be close to 25 kegs of pods right here.

Thanks everyone for your support in recycling lavazza eco pods through me. As you can see from the running total raised for Phyllis Tuckwell, it’s a worthwhile activity. Not only in terms of raising funds to support the great work they do, but also for the positive environmental impact it’s having.

Lavazza Nespresso Style Eco Pods

I just wanted to post to confirm that we will happily accept and recycle the Lavazza Nespresso Style Eco pods as well.

So if you have any capsules that come in boxes as shown below, then please feel free to drop them off with us. Not only will you be responsibly recycling the capsules, but you'll be helping to raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

But please remember, they need to be the Eco Caps. We can't accept the aluminium caps.

Fundraising Update - April 2021

The latest shipment (2 boxes) was received and accounted for.

That means that to date we have now earned 14,927 points (£149.27) and redeemed 14,831 points (£148.31) for Phyllis Tuckwell. This is fantastic!!

Fundraising Update - March 2021

The latest shipment was received and accounted for.

That means that to date we have now earned 11,631 points (£116.31) and redeemed 6,207 points (£62.07) for Phyllis Tuckwell.

This is fantasic. I’ll redeem the outstanding funds at the next redemption cycle that happens twice a year. Thank you for your continued support and keep dropping of the eco pods. :-)

Great News! The last package was received and converted to points which takes us through £100 raised for Phyllis Tuckwell. 

So far £62.07p has been redeemed and sent to Phyllis Tuckwell. The remaining £40.06p plus whatever else we manage to recycle and convert to money, will be redeemed at the next redeem event in a few months time. Redeem events happen twice a year.

That translates into £100 in 9 months and over 92KGs of eco pods industrially composted to date. Thats a great start and I hope this momentum continues to grow through 2021.
