It keeps raining when I am about to leave the lab and it's so frustrating. The drainage system of our campus is bad so now half of the routes to my hostel have ankle deep water. I also hurt my back somehow and I can't bend?? Sigh. I have a presentation on Saturday/Sunday so hopefully I'll be fine till then.
studied at a cafe for the first time and,,, i actually kinda loved it? it was great to push myself to study in an environment that has noise. i always find it super hard to focus, so it was nice to see that it wasn’t impossible
I haven’t accomplished much because I have a fever of 38°C and my whole body hurts. I was supposed to have my economics exam tomorrow, but I won’t be able to take it. I’m feeling a bit down about it, but it’s probably best to focus on resting before the new semester begins.
I found a local black owned coffee shop today and decided to study & get some work done there.
The coffee was AMAZING! I got their "Light Skin Keisha" coffee hot and was genuinely impressed!
Their coffee was so rich in taste it left me wanting for more (that’s a big deal for me bc I am not a coffee person—I prefer tea but decided to go w coffee this go around).
I also got their ATL All In avo toast. I’m undecided about how I felt about that lol. But it’s a coffee shop and not some restaurant so I’m not mad.
I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their drinks.
Unreal week. Got multiple interviews and signed up to be the GIS specialist for a desert park search and rescue team. I'll probably accept a job in the remote desert 🏜 🤔 I was chosen as a writer for a publication, reporting on my cartographic research. I'm just so proud of how I've turned things around so quickly. Desperation is my greatest motivator 😭🙌
