Large chunks of the US (basically everywhere but the PNW) are going to see a heatwave soon! Please make sure you
-limit time spent outside, if possible
-are stocked up on water and ice
-keep your blinds down and curtains drawn
-have fans going
-keep an eye on your pets and make sure they have ready access to water
-know the signs of heatstroke!
If anyone else has heatwave tips please feel free to share them :)

TLDR : s1 was a bit rushed too, but since it was narratively coherent, it didn't produce a mess like s2
Example: Romance in s1 is kind of rushed, I must admit.
Mel goes from "I'm bored of being the richest person in Piltover, I need a new toy, like that Man of Progress" to "I actually care about Jayce" way too fast. Same with Jayce returning her feelings. But you know what ? It can be forgiven, because it still makes perfect sense from a narrative perspective : Mel embodies Jayce's political corruption. Jayce gives Mel the strength to oppose her mother. So, despite being rushed, it does not ruin the story, because the plot knows where it wants to go, and perfectly drives forward their character arcs.
Same with S1 CaitVi. It happened way too fast, but it was still coherent with what the writer wanted to tell : Caitlyn had to learn that her privileged life blinded her to the realities of Zaun. Her relationship with Vi was supposed to embody the hope for reconciliation between Piltover and Zaun, as S1 CaitVi was about the possibility of reconciliation through acknowledgment of the wrongs of Piltover and conscious decision by the younger generation to not generalize entire groups of people.
On the other hand, S2 is rushed, but it is in no way comparable to S1 because there is no proper plot nor character development nor narrative coherence.

Things I found that help me personally with brain fog/dissociation besides the obvious drink water and eat food and get enough sleep idk if this would be useful to anyone else:
- brushing/flossing my teeth
- eating something spicy
- cleaning (if you’re physically able to)
- splashing water on my face
- holding something soft
- drawing/writing on a white board
- tapping your face

you cannot talk about the homophobic murder of jonathan joss without including in the conversation that he is indigenous.
american indian men are at the 2nd highest risk of death by murder compared to all other ethnic groups. in their lifetimes, 82% of native men report having experienced domestic violence. yet the overwhelming majority of perpetrators are non-natives (88% of native men and 92% of native women who reported violence said their attacker was non-native). what’s more, tribal governments are often stymied in their attempts to bring justice against non-natives, meaning that many of these cases go unresolved.
this was an intersectional attack. the fact that he is indigenous matters, even if the motivation was homophobic, because it made him even more vulnerable and disposable in the eyes of his killer.
as always, look into MMIWP to learn more, and speak up for us. miigwetch, take care
