The concept of media has evolved throughout the years. Human progress continues to increase and considering everyone's being innovative in which society has adopted in such a way. Media has evolved in ways that improve people’s daily lives. It has made communication much easier and faster. Media simply becomes a powerful tool that is used by individuals. In the present years, people always depend on media and human rationale. View it in a way that humans tend to think and develop ways on how to discharge tasks and workload and basically make the daily activities easy. According to Baumeister and Leary (1995), the “belongingness hypothesis” states that people have a basic psychological need to feel closely connected to others and that caring, affectionate bonds from close relationships are a major part of human behaviour. In line with this development, people regardless of their professions can now interact with one another and are no longer disconnected. As the media and communication devices also evolved and became pervasive, so did the information. Along with that, firstly, let us take a look at the negative impacts of media on the future generation. As virtual communication is widely accepted today, people are less likely to talk or meet each other in person and because of the comfort and internet offers, people tend to stay and work from home as it also maximized most individuals nowadays for leisure and entertainment purposes and due to that physical activity is reduced resulting in health issues such as obesity and heart disease. Another factor to consider is that the media brings not only improvement but also a threat to security. Your personal data and file must always be kept secure and safe but due to the media, anyone can now easily access it with just one click. Various forms of viruses and malware are released almost every day and attackers or hackers are silently gathering your information to use it to blackmail people. On the contrary, the media has its positive effects as well. It improved the access to education in which it implements educational enhancement such as distance learning, online tutorial, and interactive media. Furthermore, it gives an opportunity to people to act on injustices as it brings social issues to life that remain unknown to people.

As today, we gen z were active to any social media so it’s obvious that it’ll be more intense to the next-gen or the future by being able to communicate instantly not only with friends in their local area but also those all over the world, online teens can boost friendships and strengthen the lines of communication. They can even make new friends from diverse countries and cultures, increasing their cultural awareness. Google will be able to search all of the social media's material, including individual postings. Social media networks will grow increasingly popular for shopping. As wearable technology grows more common, creating and sharing media will become easier. Businesses will become more skilled at adopting this strategy. The use of social media on a worldwide platform is fast increasing. According to Nielsen, roughly four out of every five active Internet users now use social media sites or blogs. Furthermore, in a snapshot of ten major global economies, social networks and blogs reach more than three-quarters of Internet users. The future of digital media will evolve as new tools emerge, consumers make new demands, and the quality and accessibility of the technologies improve. The rise of mobile video, VR or virtual reality, AR or augmented reality, and the more refined use of data analytics will all influence the future of digital media. Social media will affect future generations tremendously. There will be no end to the innovation of social media, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing if we learn to use social media responsibly. Social media has a big impact on people nowadays and for obvious reasons, and I don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon. People in the future are most likely still going to be looking at their phones scrolling on all their favorite social media platforms as if their phones are surgically attached to their hands. The more time spent on social media the more positive and negative things can lead to cyberbullying, social anxiety, depression, and exposure to content that is not age-appropriate, and some advantages also.

The evolution of technology has served as an extended hand in our lives from time to time. As this evolves, the efficacy of service also rises. Since this evolution will create a noticeable development in making itself for its future appearance as media, it will provide more possible performance that can be done online, and provide more platforms that will serve and give space for the needs of the next generation. For example, the outbreak of coronavirus in the year 2020 has let the world be summoned for the global Pandemic. This outbreak has brought impact to different fields; education, society, politics, and economy, which has announced for different implementations such as, online learning to continue the education of every learner, online meeting/work for office workers, online shop for business entrepreneurs, social media apps for online payment, connection with relatives and friends. Since the outbreak of this infectious virus made us live under strict quarantines, the media has saved our lives. These scenarios under pandemic have made us engage on online platforms and have allowed the media to show what it can provide. These happenings will let us look forward to how far the media can provide us service in the future. Thus, the power of media shouldn’t be discriminated against because as this evolves, more benefits will be given to the users which is a good way. However, as almost everything can be done online soon, it will also have a downside which may affect our health. If our education and work soon will continue to happen online, a number of people will have eye problems due to facing gadgets for long hours, productivity will be reduced, making them lack energy, and the performance of a person will be affected as they will be dependent on technology. Health issues will arise. As everything can be visible then on media, a lot of people may experience being stressed mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Therefore, in looking forward to what the future Media will provide for the next generation, it is best to monitor and set a limit to refrain from all the downsides of things that we think are an advantage.

And it is because of these negative aspects that people suffer from mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety. Screen time has also increased, which might lead to eye problems. As a result, the future of social media for the next generation is that it will continue to evolve as it has in the past, and its powers and scope will expand. The media for the next generation will have a lot of noteworthy material that will aid future generations in terms of education as well as the dissemination of knowledge and propaganda that helps the people and its community. The brain is the determining factor in who and what you are, as well as the key to success. Many things can be created by combining the power of the mind with an individual's imaginative state. Creativity is defined as the ability to conceive the possibility of an idea becoming a reality. Creativity is determined by your skills, competencies, and abilities. The creations of the mind such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names, and images used in commerce are called Intellectual Property. (World Intellectual Property Organization) In general, intellectual property refers to any work made by the human intellect. Intellectual property rights are granted in order to protect against any type of copyright infringement. Authors of artistic and literary works have the right to preserve their work under copyright law for a minimum of 50 years after the death of the author. The copyright law's objective is to reward the work of those who invented these inventions, as well as to encourage individuals to create new, unique works that benefit not only themselves, but also community members who are interested in their line of work. As young people, we are constantly reminded and encouraged to avoid any act of copyright infringement in order to improve our ability to create intellectual works, particularly literary works in academic settings such as essays and poems. Copyright infringement is common, especially since intellectual works are widely disseminated over the internet in which a lot of individuals can access, see, and read.

Nowadays, young individuals mostly engage in the field of research, we search to back up our arguments in debates, for our research project, tasks and do’s, that has something to do with our school, or to educate someone. As we search to support our arguments, almost all the articles from reliable sources are protected by copyright law to prevent the work from being stolen. In order for us to protect this, and prevent ourselves not to go against the law, giving proper credits and putting this on our reference would help the article, source, or work to be protected.

How do I give proper copyright credit?

- Citing sources is one of the ways to give credit to the author and their work. This is to give credit to the original work of an author, promote scholarly writing, and will probably help that target audience in identifying the source. There are many style guides in citing sources, but APA and MLA Format is the most followed in giving credits. This can be done by giving credits in the form of, In-Text Citation and Reference Citation.

Research has mostly concentrated on the "bright side" of media and technology, aiming to understand and support in leveraging the multiple possibilities afforded by its usage. As the main channel of communication for a world is an inseparable duo of media and technology, it also has its dark side. The current worldwide misinformation and surrounding "information glut" (Postman, 1995). These days, people are more open to this discussion yet they rarely understand the real effect of the dark side of the media. For instance, the media's portrayal of the perfect body has resulted in body shaming, which then leads to an increase in eating disorder problems in society and an increase in the amount of cosmetic operations that are unusually interfering in an attempt to achieve a flawless appearance through the use of illusory filters. If you already watched the movie “hush”, the girl who used the dating app may interrupt your privacy in ways you have never experienced before. Children are becoming a target for sexual predators and hackers as a result of their oversharing on social media. It also leads to cyberbullying, which has a huge impact on everyone. As a result, social media sharing, particularly by minors, must be closely supervised at all times. Even in games, it is designed to be addicting, social media is harmful. As this Generation witnessed the evolution of technology, their lives started to revolve around the advantages. Since then, it has helped the minds of the people as this develop their ability of processing information brought by the Media, which later allows them to respond expressively, and create an enhanced communication. This Generation is abundant in ideas and is mentally flexible as they saw how the changes in society made an impact on our modern world. As a result, this made Generation Z is more enhanced in communication as they speak with power and grew to become world changers.

The Generation-Z communication preference is different from the past ages. They are more inclined to communicate through online platforms like messenger, Instagram, Discord, Twitter, etc., as they prefer it to be convenient and they can reply to messages or emails when they feel like it. They also don’t have to worry about answering questions they are not comfortable with and be conscious of their body language and appearance.

Generation Z is more racially and ethnically mixed than prior generations, and it embodies the nation's evolving racial and ethnic makeup. Gen Z is more likely too focused on advance like open to new ideas and new ways of doing things, some are quite well about what they want and are willing to work hard to achieve it suchlike teamwork oriented. They likely prefer to work independently and be evaluated on their personal merits rather than the merits of their team. Some of them think that generation z's competitive character is rooted in a strong need for recognition for their accomplishments, like they place a premium on clear goals and professional development.

Furthermore, this generation is believed a sensitive group of people, especially when it comes to social and political issues. They commit and comment to every article they see and that they don’t want to be silenced unless justice is prevailing and all the morally upright will be vindicated. They want their opinions and voice to be heard. People under this generation are politically aggressive; they are willing to fight for every right that a people were deprived of which is believed to result in the positive development of the society.

As Generation Z has the privileged of modern technology, they have been able to grasp faraway cultures, issues, and news quicker than any of the generations before them. As that being the case the members who are part of Generation Z tend to be more open-minded, liberal-leaning, and actively engaged in advocating for the fair and equal treatment of others. Generation Z has a very different opinion about gender norms than the older generation undoubtedly, this generation is far more open-minded and accepting when it comes to issues of gender and sexuality. They have a conviction that society should be more accepting of individuals who don’t define themselves in traditional norms for they believe gender binary is outdated. Mental Health is one of the issues that gen z’s are advocating. Even though this group is more open in talking about mental health issues the members of generation z are considered as the “loneliest generation”. For they are the first generation to be completely raised with the Internet and smartphones, these individuals are also more aware of societal issues which also can be a stressor that affects their mental health. But with the power of media within their fingertips, this generation has been able to widely spread awareness to the world. This generation has a great desire to have their opinions heard by the general public, and they have effectively touched some of the most sensitive issues that were never spoken by the previous generations.
