dear god has anyone ever made a good UI for a work or academic setting. why is every application/website for course enrollment, payroll, grading, etc just completely inscrutable or just straight up broken. like I once worked with a LIMS where learning how to use it felt like playing a really unpleasant game of bop it and the only person who had admin privileges to add new users was the guy who developed it who was already RETIRED. .
