I like that when Miles is accused of murder, Franziska is like "YOU DID IT!!! PROVE YOUR INNOCENCE RIGHT NOW OR BE LOCKED AWAY FOREVER!" And when Franziska is accused of murder Miles is like "Of course she didn't do it" because between the whipping people to the point of unconsciousness and her temper, I feel like out the two of them, Franziska is the one more likely to murder someone.

Ace x Family: Mission P-1 Part 2-5

(28 Mar: oh shit I just looked in my drafts folder and realised I never actually published this, I think because my posting schedule got interrupted by a storm snapping the power pole in my backyard so I had no power for a week. Coincidentally I had no power for a week last week because a blizzard ripped down the power lines and there was literally a still energized power line laying in my backyard for more than 1 day before the power company came by and said ‘oh that still has a current, maybe don’t go in your backyard for now, we’ll try to get someone to shut that down so you don’t die, but we won’t be back to actually fix it for a few days’ so it’s really been a fun 7months for basic utilities around here. I remain unsure about whether I want to keep going with this one all the way through to the unraveling of the culprit because I’m still a little bored with just drawing the court back and forth, and I’m back to wanting to jump to the next story arc I had in mind cause it has more action and more of the characters, but I’ve also been buried at work so who knows when I get to any of it. Ugh, I wish I could just be an overnight millionaire so I could just spend all day thinking about blorbos. )

Now back to the original post that should have gone up in July (oops):

This is the final part of Part 2. (It's also as far as I'd gotten in writing the script to the story so I'm not sure whether I'll be caught up and in a cadence or if it will be another interval again.) Yeah, my Gumshoe is so inconsistent, he keeps changing styles. (I mean more than my obvious shifts between AA style and SxF style) I do feel like I've figured out his hair though... maybe.

That little interlude of Phoenix thinking about how Uncle Kazuma's great at getting people to talk, is one of my favourite moments in the arc thus far. It's that and back when Larry switches sides because he's 'not a kangaroo'

Anyway. I've been thinking about pausing on this particular storyline because my brain is luring me to work on one that was to come somewhere after this that would involve way more characters, both the adults and the kids and the high school kids, and a lot more action. In that one because of the success of this class trial, Judge Udgey gets several of the kids to be added as 'assistants' to the annual Themis Senior Mock Investigation and Trial, so they'd be tagging along with Shi Long, Mia, Dhurke, Datz and all while they investigate a fake crime staged at the hospital where Barok works. The event will not go smoothly because of the usual spy and assassination threats. So you can see why I'm tempted. Especially now that the Investigations 2 news has broken and I'm feeling extra Shi Longy. I suppose it will depend on how much of that plot and script I puke out in a fever dream.
