Something I also love about Elden Ring is how they are showing very different reactions to someone's conditions and fate.

Fortissax basically sacrifices themselves to keep fighting the Death away from Godwyn, even if this is useless, and Miquella wanted him to truly die already, but his Death Knights decided to "stand with their cancelled Demigod" and instead embraced the same fate that what happened to him. Miquella tried everything in his powers to cure Malenia's Scarlet Rot, but Cleanrot Knights accepted the Scarlet Rot to ruin their bodies to stand by her side. Marika was trying to cure Messmer's curse, but his Fire Knights actually were trying to accept it, and honor the attempt with a special incantation. Also Fia sees Godwyn as the new hope, when a Finger Reader that cared for him weeps his "humiliation" and Devin straight up loathes his existence now. Also Gowry wants Malenia to ascend into something else but Maleigh admires her for struggling against her condition. Also Andreas and Huw betrayed Messmer for his curse. Many such cases.

It would've been too easy and a bad writing to make everyone feel the same way and react the same way, but no! It is very realistic that people have different takeaways from the situation. It is also just how Knights are supposed to be: following their liege in both Ws and Ls.

I love Ansbach, he’s easily an all-time favorite FromSoft NPC, and I get that he’s being hyperbolic and probably pretty emotional when he calls Miquella a monster, but in a vacuum it’s still just such a funny thing for Ansbach specifically to say about anybody, considering he’s one of Mohg’s Pureblood Knights. I’ve been to your house, Ansbach. there’s a knee-deep river of blood running through the front and back yards, there’s big twitching piles of gore all over the place, and a decent number of your co-workers are there because they got kidnapped about it.
