Unofficial Statement

Hello! This is Caligulas from the Santae Staff Team.

I will not divulge any of the circumstances leading up to our actions, but I would like to speak up. I, and others, have returned to the site after being offered our positions back because we genuinely want to give CJ the opportunity to learn and grow from this. This may seem too soon, but we all have received what seem to be genuine apologies that directly addressed our concerns. We have all communicated back that our return is dependent on seeing tangible actions taken to better the staff culture.

Many of us will not be returning at this time to give space for these changes to be implemented first, and some will never return. None of us are holding ill will for these decisions, and even as we part, we are thankful for the community we found and proud of the actions we took together. We also respect those who did not or could not participate, and appreciate that they have welcomed us back with open arms.

Though we took these actions in a way to minimize user involvement, I also want to mention that seeing users stand with us in solidarity meant the world. The users are truly what helps Santae be a wonderful place to be, and it is an honor to be able to work for you again.
