this year i'd like people to drop the "nesta was abusive" bullshit entirely
Ā° being mean is not abuse
Ā° rejecting and not wanting to fuck a guy is not abuse
Ā° you can't neglect someone you're not responsible for
and finally
Ā° the biggest victim doesn't get a cookie

You cannot know how frightened gods are of pain. There is nothing more foreign to them, and so nothing they ache more deeply to see.

Beneath the smooth, familiar face of things is another that waits to tear the world in two.

I would like to say that all the while I waited to break out, but the truth is, Iā€™m afraid I might have floated on, believing those dull miseries were all there was, until the end of days.

okay just a thought on Jurdan:
Saw this devil and angel art on Pinterest and I realized...
We ALLL know that Jurdan is a couple of shitty people that we fucking LOVE and would do shitty things for...
SOOOOOO...as the DEVIL is considered a shitty person, could they together be the personification of the devil? Jude with the HORNS and Cardan with the TAIL??
Just a rando thought that popped in my head.

Okay the fact that I am so excited for Cardan to have raised an island with his power...YES KING YES! I usually only care about powerful women because I find that most powerful fictional men are boring eye candy with good rhetoric, but this man. Yummy. Get it with Insear. GET ITT!!

The previous five heirs had been seen immediately, still squalling in ruddy newness, but Lady Asha barred the High King from visiting before she felt herself suitably restored from childbed.
This gives me Kourtney Kardashian taking a shower and shaving her co0ch while in labor right before going to the hospital vibes.

The Wicked King/The Queen of Nothing Spoiler:
Only out of his spilled blood can a great ruler rise, but not before what I have told you comes to pass.
Okay, so we learned thatĀ ā€œhis bloodā€ could also mean his siblingsā€™ blood. Balekin is dead, and so is the rest of his blood excluding his mother. So, maybe that was what the premonition meant, I mean the man already raised a new island and forced Orlagh to back down....or Cardan will die and Jude is going to rule all of Faerie.
I want her to be queen but I also donā€™t want him to die. HOLLY DONā€™T DO THIS TO ME.

I longed for mundane things: the smell of hot asphalt, the swag of wires between streetlights, the jingles of commercials.
Now, stuck in the mortal world for good, I miss Faerieland with a raw intensity. Itā€™s magic I long for, magic I miss.
Yes, darling, that is what we all feel always except only the ones that have returned from the moon long for the mundane things.Ā

I mean, just imagine:
There are humans in Judeā€™s world that read like we do and escape in fantasy and magic and then get terrible book hangovers when they get to the last page of their latest book; they get the terrible sickness of being reminded that itā€™s just a fictional world.
YET LITERALLY IN AN ISLAND BY THE US FUCKING STATES THEREā€™S EVERYTHING THEY DREAM OF BEING A PART OF. Damn.
