Eddie who is mostly the same but more quiet/flustered around Y/N and Volt who is still charming but in a doesn’t understand social rules and is just very openly affectionate and bad at keeping his feelings under wraps

Maybe Y/N regularly fed their pod and Volt would constantly go up to her and rub his head against their hand when they would reach down and it becomes their routine, Eddie never strayed too far but never close enough to be pet

Sooo when they finally see Y/N in their human forms and Y/N reaches their hand out to introduce themselves, Volt out of habit immediately pushes his head into her hand like he normally would. Eddie immediately panics bc whatthefuckareyoudoingthey’regonnathinkwe’rebothweirdosVolt

Y/n a little weirded out bc wtf but yknow what he’s kind of cute, odd but definitely cute :}

you’re spot-on with how you describe eddie n volt, eddie is a lot more cautious/a rule follower, while volt disregards all social rules of how he’s supposed to act. definitely manages to charm you, you can't say no to those big seal eyes and his infectious grin. eddie would be flustered around the reader! you’re a human, so his usual flirting tactics aren’t going to work, and he’s quiet and shy so it would be hard for him to even talk to you about something sensitive like that.

reader feeding the pod is a cute idea, volt would totally go up to the reader for pets :] he’s a touch based guy, so he would definitely push himself into your hands as a human. Eddie does freak out about it (like I said, he’s a rule follower) and would still be on edge even if you say it would be fine. he’s constantly on the scan for danger—all the stories the pod told of how dangerous and bad humans are has conditioned him to act this way, and it’s going to be hard to break that habit.

Just finished reading Brandon Sanderson's Isles of the Emberdark and it has reaffirmed my love for Sixth of Dusk for being so absolutely hilariously unbothered by the weirdness of the Cosmere.

googling shit like "why do i feel bad after hanging out with my friends" and all of the answers are either "you need better friends" (i don't; my friends are wonderful) or "your social battery is drained, you need to rest and regain your energy levels" (i don't; i've got tons of energy, it's just manifesting as over-the-top neurotic mania). why is this even happening. it's like some stupid toll i have to pay as a punishment for enjoying myself too much

I love that Jimmy Olsen is exactly the type of photographer Peter Parker pretends to be. Just bat-shit insane.

Whenever someone asks Peter how he took a picture he's like "Oh! I uh-, climmed a flagpole. Totally"

And very mortal, normal-human Jimmy is like "See, Clark, is not that weird"

I mean, look at this nutjob.

The world could be ending, lava on the streets and Jimmy would be out there photographing away. No powers, no sense of self preservation. Just khakis, a camera and a dream.

I like to imagine Peter meeting Jimmy and immediately being mortified about it.
