Some photos from yesterday's adventure (me and husband went on a walk in the rain lol)

There were a lot of fireflies! I was very excited to see them. (There were also a lot of mosquitoes. I was less excited to see those).

The cat was running into the woods, a bit nervous about me, but i started complimenting her and asked to take her picture, so she just sat down for me and waited until i was done lol.

Fun fact, i went through a pretty strong cetacean phase as a child. Then, after my frontal lobe fully developed, i realized that I am TERRIFIED of Orcas. I had never been afraid of them before, but now, i get especially on edge at the thought of somehow encountering one in the ocean (which will never happen since deep blue water makes me panic, and i have had to swim through it once and hated every second of it lol. Also, i don't live somewhere that see Orcas, like, ever lmao).

I still think theyre fascinating creatures and extremely beautiful, and i will continue to advocate for them 🙏❤️

Blackberry X Pollinators sketchbook spread!

My park has some wild blackberries growing, so i had taken some reference photos on my walk. I thought it would be fun to include blackberry pollinators on the other half! Their main pollinators are bumble bees and honeybees, but i thought only including them would be a bit dull, so i did a little more research into some more uncommon pollinators! Blackberries are technically self-pollinating, however, pollen distribution by external pollinators ensures successful pollination and genetic diversity for better yields ☺️. In some recent studies, they found that in some locations, the majority of blackberry pollination occurs at night, meaning moths are major players in the pollination game. The more you know lol.
