Akira Kurosawa‘s YOJIMBO (’61) has been (loosely) remade several times, including Sergio Leone’s A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS (’64), Sergio Corbucci’s DJANGO (’66), and Walter Hill’s LAST MAN STANDING (’96)

Pretty medieval manuscript of the day is another lovely illustration in grisaille, shades of grey, but highlighted with blues and gilding. Really lovely!
