hi sorry if this is a silly question. what’s the reason for differences in attitudes towards keira and lucy? they both wanted to leave, no? but keira gets a much better reception from barça fans than lucy.

Hola anon, it’s because Lucy is the walking example of the greed that they talk about in the Bible. We can’t deny that she’s a good player, but she always wants more and more. More trophies, more clubs to join etc. She has no loyalty to anyone but herself, which okay good for her but I personally don’t like that kind of attitude.

Keira, bless her, just didn’t feel at home in sunny Catalonia anymore and needed to return to England for her mental health. Working overseas and being far away from your family and culture (lol) isn’t for everyone and I deeply empathize with her. Also she’s very unproblematic and just lays low and works hard, who wouldn’t like that.

nothing in mapi’s statement really surprised me.

it’s entirely possible she did not touch daniela, considering espanyol’s statement referred to a gesture and not a touch.

EDIT: but regardless of intention; daniela felt violated, and that’s the most important point. she shouldn’t have been made to feel that way.

also, i said it makes sense why mapi didn’t apologize but ive rethought that, to be honest. she 100% should have apologized because her actions caused harm to someone, even if it wasn’t intentional. daniela deserves an apology for what mapi did, point blank, period.

two things can be true: daniela can feel as though mapi acted inappropriately towards her. mapi can feel as though she did not intend for that to be the case, and was aiming to push her leg.

i’m not really sure where it goes from here, if the league will investigate or if daniela will pursue legal action. idk. i hope daniela is okay, and i hope she’s able to do whatever she needs to do to feel better about this whole thing.

just to be clear, i’m not making excuses for mapi nor am i saying mapi didn’t do anything wrong. clearly, she messed up.
