Apparently there was some kind of race scheduled at a local park or something so I've been trying to avoid the main trail but a little while ago when I had to cross near it I overheard the following shouted exchange

Higher feminine voice: woo, look at you go! You're jogging! Keep it up!

Today, on the last day of school for the kids, one of the Grade 3 teachers asked their class what they wanted to do.

Their response?

"Data gathering!"

They'd been learning about data visualization (how to make bar graphs) and I guess they really enjoyed that unit, lol.

I had a bunch of VERY serious Grade 3s ask me questions for their "surveys" that they came up with.

I found it interesting and cute that one kid listed "Ballet" as a potential favourite sport you could pick from. Another had a survey about animals -- did I prefer dogs, cats, tigers, or lizards?

I literally do not feel ashamed in the slightest for getting social services because the government is wasting half of my tax money on fighter jets like why should I feel guilty for getting free stuff when this country is keeping Boeing in business on purpose

And I don’t feel like brave despite the shame or anything like no I’m bragging about it and also I think everyone should get this. Like I get free prescriptions and free food man you wish you had that. Get mad at the guys not giving it to you, not me for getting it.
