It’s time once again for the sims community Holiday Love Meme! Some Maxoid hair recolors this time, per request :)

I used the original textures on the first two, but I couldn’t salvage it for the last one, so that’s why it looks… weird. Also, I found a male conversion of the first hair, so I added it as well! The last one is AF-EF only, and the first one’s male version is TM-EM.

Great recolours of a classic set

The Truth is....

I really like “classic” things. Whenever I go shopping for clothing, furniture or decor in real life, I’m always getting the “classic” thing that pretty much never goes out of style. Trendy stuff just mainly bothers me, because most of the time it’s ugly, looks stupid, or is a complete waste of money (this is especially true for clothing). Besides, I don’t want to look like everyone else, nor do I want to make an interior design decision that I will regret years later when I am ready to sell my house, and something new is on trend.

So, it goes without saying that some of the sets I use the most in the sims are “classic” sets, and one of my favorites is the Torrox set by mourne999. I know, it’s meant to be a “Spanish” set, but I live in Southern California, so everything here is “Spanish”. The bedroom set and the dining room sets are in particular, some of the most versatile that I’ve seen, and can be used for just about any time period if you aren’t following trends.

The awesome thing about this set is that it has so many pieces to it, I mean- they just go on and on! Most items are repositories, so once you’ve gotten a few good recolors you can use them for so many things. I’ve linked to the Dining Room set with the master chair (needed for most of the Torrox furniture) above, but I highly encourage you to check out the Bedroom Set and Nursery, which will both work with my recolors. 

In fact, I specifically made these recolors for the Bedroom Set, as you can see I’ve included the lovely Betsy4Art’s Attic Hope Chest  in my Princess Woods, to match everything. I think they go together quite nicely but most importantly the picture down below could be from any time period, as it looks a bit modern, but also a bit antique. 

My Princess Woods are rather rustic looking, hopefully some of you will appreciate that. We need more recolors of this set, so I hope that more of you will do just that and recolor it! Get this Rustic Bedroom Set  here. The Mesh to the Chest is included, but not to the Torrox Set, as you should pick and choose for yourself which (or all) items appeal to you. Eventually I will recolor the kitchen items as well. Enjoy!

Requested at GoS on the wishing tree, a DECO ONLY addon for the OFB decra chill. The object uses the game textures and so OFB is required.

Thank you Veranka for the counter I cloned as it had lots of slots, which do behave a bit oddly... use M to cycle through and if the slots "wont work" put your mouse over the other green footprint square. You can only put things in slots from the back. Where is it? (I can never find the decrachill....) Surfaces miscellaneous for 300 simoleons

Sandwich Counter
