why was APC so obsessed with making sure the viewers knew stimpy bottomed?
#i may be reading too much into this but#I honestly think it's because John Cringefalusi always portrays Stimpy as the woman in the relationship#and women are supposed to be submissive and stupid according to him#and its funny to watch women be abused apparently (??)#theres so much of that 1950s 'I hate my stupid wife' boomer humour in APC#also ofc he sees the stupid character whose whole personality is being stupid as 'sometimes a girl'#It always bugged me#Because stupidity is something he associates with femininity#The abuse of Stimpy also I think is a reflection of John's fear of being seen as 'gay'#Stimpy is a flamboyant character so John needs Ren#his wrinkly fursona#to beat Stimpy up so we all know it's bad to be gay#APC is genuinely a fascinating look into the psyche of a lunatic#you could write essays on this shit#or maybe its not that deep#anyway haha bottom stimpy
