USEFUL SITES FOR ROLEPLAYERS

Thought I'd make a list of some useful websites for those of us who enjoy roleplaying and what have you here on Tumblr and whatnot.

roleplay formatter: Made by the awesome @rpclefairy. I honestly can't recommend this one enough. Great for adding color, changing the font size, and the whole shebang with bold + italics + underline + strikethrough. 10/10 always use

fsymbols + emojipedia: These are both great for making your tags fancy and whatnot.

alt codes: This is genuinely great for teaching you how to make the symbols with your keyboard for everyday use so there's that. It's especially useful if you and/or your muses speak a second language so that's a bonus.

text color fader: *marge vc* I just think gradient effects on text is neat. *end marge vc*

list of colors (wikipedia): Has a list of an infinite number of colors and their hex codes. Very useful if I do say so, myself. But that's just me.

screencapped.net: Great for getting all sorts of screenshots for making icons, GFXs, promos, and whatnot.

fancaps.net: Also great for getting all sort of screencaps for making icons, GFXs, promos, and whatnot. My only complaint is that it's a little annoying to navigate so here's the proper links to movies, tv shows, and anime.

photopea: Great if you can't afford Photoshop and/or don't like using GIMP.

hakuneko: It's not so much a website as much as it is a program. You can download manga, comics, webtoons, doujinshi, etc. for making your icons, GFXs, promos, and whatnot. It's also just a great way to read stuff and catch up on everything.

— pick characters with barely any screentime or presence in their piece of media and expand them into the most detailed, beautiful, nuanced characters you've ever seen — send posts/gifsets/quotes to blogs that reminded them of their character. "i saw this and it reminded me of your muse!" this is one of the highest compliments you can pay someone tbh — send messages of support or check in when someone is having a bad day or going through bad irl situations. i love seeing a whole bunch of people in the comments like "message me if you need anything!" "i'm thinking about you!" "hope things get better!" it's just so sweet — ramble about how much they love their character/s in long metas or headcanons... the passion you show for your muses is so cute and inspiring — write as a hobby. like how cute is it that we're all just telling stories with each other over and over?????? — develop the most outlandishly fun ship pairings with crossover universes and a multitude of aus. two characters from totally different fandoms falling in love?? i can't get enough of it — follow forevers / bias lists when you make a little commemorative post and tag all of the people that brighten your day!

Ever since the Waverider had landed in Star City, she had tried to keep herself focused to the mission at hand, to silence her curiosity but as soon as the culprit had been aprehended, there was nothing else to stop her from giving in. Even if she didn’t know where Sara would be, she hoped that she would be at one of the locations Gideon had suggested.

After watching the woman for a moment, she took a deep breath and made her way towards her. She stopped right in front of her and pointed towards the booth.

The RPC is fucked up and it's our fault for letting toxic people join our communities and allowing them to misbehave, brushing it to the side thinking it will fix itself in the end. It hasn't. Then they cry wolf whenever their bad behaviors are pointed out. We should stop sympathizing with these toxic rolplayers, and start calling them what they are. Bad roleplayers. Start kicking these people out and stop forgiving them. They don't deserve it. They will destroy you, and whatever circles you are in. Whether that be in Discord RP Groups. Tumblr RP Groups. It starts with bubbling, it starts with these dick measuring contest, and these incessant needs to be the center of attention. Give them nothing. They deserve nothing until they can behave better. If they want to act like middle schoolers. Treat them like it.
