Separation ch.5
Summary - Four finds himself awake and notices one of their heroes isn't insight. Wild and this mysterious princess learn more about each other.
Four awoke with blurry sight and a bit of a headache. It took only a minute for his vision to return to normal, though. And he guessed the headache was a side effect of going through the portal like usual. He looked to see where he was. A cave with various amounts of furniture, the only light was a small lantern casting a blue glow. It wasn't a lot of light, but it was just enough.
Four sighed heavily and stared at his own shadow the light had made visible. Unlike any other shadow, it had a look that was slightly different. It was wearing a hat and wide smile. It waved something it did on its own. But Four just smiled.
"How's Zelda?" He asked.
Shadow gave a thumbs up, then the hylian sign for worried. Four laughed softly.
"Tell her, me and the others, are holding up just fine. And that she doesn't have to worry."
Shadows' smile was replaced with a look of annoyance as he pointed at his shoulder.
"It was one injury, Shadow!"
Shadow then proceeded to hold up nine fingers and then put six of them down, then shrugged.
" . . . Fair, but we'll find them."
Shadow shrugged again and signed if you say so.
" . . . So, how are you holding up?"
Shadow stopped dead for a minute before holding up a thumbs up. It's been a little odd being not just a shadow, but I suppose I will get used to it, he signed, but I wish I could still talk to you in person and not just through your Shadow and this sign. But I suppose I will just have to wait till you get back to our own Hyrule.
" Yeah but at least this is better than nothing. I'm still not sure why it won't allow you to come through. I'm guessing it has something to do with the mirror not being in this era.
Probably, Shadow signed, Hey Link, you came through that portal with two others right?
"Yeah why?"
Because he signed, only one is in here.
"Huh?"
Four looked around frantically and took notice that the Vet was gone. How had he missed this before?
"Crap! I have to go find him, thanks, Shadow! Talk later!"
And Four got up and bolted out the cave.
" So now I'm on a quest to find them, clear my name, and possibly stop the rifts permanently if that's even possible."
Explained Zelda as she carefully dabbed the wet cloth on the injuries she had missed when first patching Wild up. She was surprised at how calm he was while she did this. From this, she could tell that injuries came often to him and that he was used to someone, maybe even himself patching him up quite often. She was also quite surprised at how many scares he had. His right side was practically covered in them, and you could clearly see the ones covering across his right ear on to his.
" Woah. That's ruff."
"I guess. But what about you? Clearly, you're a knight, but what's your story?"
"How did you know? I didn't tell you I was a knight."
" I've seen enough knights to know. It's the way you don't flinch when I patch up your injuries. The way you don't talk very much and always call me princess. The fact that you carry a variety of weapons. The scars. If not a knight, then a warrior. Speaking of scars . . . what happened? If you don't mind me asking."
"It's well you wouldn't believe if I told you."
"At this point, I believe anything."
"Even if I told you I got these from malice infestation automaton right before I died in my princesses arms. And was then placed in a resurrecting sleep only to wake up 100 years later with anisia?"
"Damn. That's . . . Wow."
"And that's not even my entire journey, heh."
"Double damn."
It didn't take long for Four to find the missing hero. He was only feet away from the entrance of the cave. He was just sitting there staring at nothing. Four approached quietly his footsteps barely makeing any noise. When he was in line with Legend, he sat down next to him. He looked at Legend, seeing his face stained with tears. The look on Legends' face was one. Four knew too well. Like Four Legend had lost someone, but it was clear, unlike Four whoever Legend lost he didn't get back. They were just . . . gone.
"Legend?"
He didn't look at Four but away. Before letting out a small," What?"
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No."
"You sure? It might make you feel better? And if you want, I won't tell anyone."
" . . . "
"Or I can just-"
"I lost the love of my life. And it was my fault. And I got in an argument a bad one with the person I'm closest to back at home. I didn't even get to apologize."
"I can't say I've been in the exact situation you're in, but I have been in similar ones. I have gotten in lots of arguments and have definitely lost people close to me. I'm sure that whoever you got in an argument with will forgive you. And for your loss . . . I'm sorry. I wish you were fortunate enough to get them back like me. But don't blame yourself it makes it worse."
Silence followed, and they just sat watching the stars. Before Four got up and headed back, stopping when Legend called back to him.
"Four wait . . . Thank you."
Four smiled and nodded before disappearing in the cave.
Don't blame himself? How was he not when it was fault, plain and clear? What else could he see it as? Legend thought for a moment before coming up with an answer that satisfied him.
He had granted a wish, hadn't he?

OK
Can we talk about the fact that Warriors, Time and Wind know who Marin is? Because in Hyrule Warriors, she is part of the War of Eras. Not to mention, they know lots of other characters they should not know. Like they've met Midna and Ghirahim. So imagine that shock Legend would get when he realizes that 3 of his brothers know the love of his life that got ripped away from him. And she was technically a dream. So Legend is just losing his mind right now, and the others have no idea why it's such a big deal.
Have more thoughts on this? Put them in the comments below! I would love to hear what you think! Have a good/night

Ok, so I was watching a Legend and Marin animatic, and now I have a thought that I need to blurt out!
1So in Links Awakening, Legend meets a young girl named Marin who saves him after being ship wrecked and stranded on a mysterious island called Koholint. Fast forward, and Legend finds this is all a dream, and the only way back is to wake The Windfish. However, doing that will destroy the entire island and everyone living there. It will destroy all the friends he's made. It will destroy Marin. He doesn't really have a choice but to wake The Windfish, and he loses the girl he loves.
But what if there is a way to bring her back?
The Triforce is a powerful magic item that allows anyone who places a single hand on it to make a wish. Any wish their heart truly desires. In A Link Between Worlds, we see both Legend and Fable use this item to restore the Kingdom of Lorule. You can only use this item once in a millenia.
BUT. In Lu, they are literally able to hope from era to era via portals thanks to Dink. So what Legend used the Triforce in a different era. One that hasn't been used like Twilights or Wilds. Sure, he would have to find them first, but I think it would be worth it to Legend.
What do yall think about this? Your opinion is welcome in the comments below. Have a good night/day

By characterized, I mean that she made Legend be the Link in that game for her comic. Just in case you were confused or something.

Separation ch.4
Summary - Legend has a hard time sleeping due to his mind being guilty for yelling at Hyrule and remembering all the stuff that he wants to forget. Wild finds himself alone in new Hyrule he's never seen and meets a mysterious young hylian.
"Legend? What are you doing up?"
Her words had startled him. He had been extra careful not to wake anyone up. To not wake her up. But she was still here behind him.
"Just going for a walk."
"Legend, it's the middle of the night!"
"So?"
"So you could get attacked, and you wouldn't even know it because it's so dark. And it's cold out you could get sick!"
"I'll be fine," he said and began to walk to the door of the castle once more. He was stopped by a hand grabbing his wrist.
" This is the fifth time this month. Not to mention all the other times since . . . since you got back from your voyage. There's something clearly bothering you. Just tell me."
"I. . ." He hesitated. If he could tell anyone about that journey, it would be her. But at the same time, what if it made her hate him. That was a risk he wasn't willing to take. He couldn't lose her either.
"I can't."
"What do you mean you can't?"
"I just. . . can't."
"I'm your sister! You can tell me anything!"
"Not this."
"Why? Give me one good reason why!"
He wanted to bolt out everything. To tell her why. To tell her about that journey. But couldn't, so he did not respond. He stared at the ground, refusing to meet his sisters eyes. Which he was sure were filled with anxiety and worry for him.
"You can't, can you? So just tell me instead of hiding everything away and shutting your friends out! Shutting me out!"
"I can not tell you, Fable. It's not something you or anyone else need to know. Not something you or anyone would understand."
"Understand? . . .Understand! Link I have seen things most people wouldn't even dream of! And so have you! If anyone is going to understand, it's gonna be me!"
"The only thing you understand is getting captured by the bad guy."
The words had slipped out of his mouth before he could stop them. But his anger at her for not dropping the matter was high and growing. So he did not take it back.
" Oh you did not just say that."
" But I did."
" Says the depressed hero boy who only knows how to swing a sword and throw insults!"
" At least I can do something that's not waiting to be rescued!"
" At least I fix my problems instead of running away from them!"
" No! You have other people fix your problems, Fable!"
" Says who?"
" The person who fixed all your problems because you couldn't do it yourself! While you were safe in the castle, I was hunted by soldiers! While you were captured, I had to do all the hard work over and over again! While you stayed back in Hyrule, I learned how dreams can be so real they. . . You get the point!"
"You act like - like I had a choice! I wasn't safe. I was stuck in the castle! Sure, I was captured a lot but not by choice! You act like you're the only one who had to go through shit! Just because I was captured doesn't mean it wasn't hard! All that time, I was STUCK! Stuck wishing I could do something - anything! And now I'm stuck again listening to you sneak in and out of a castle! I'm stuck because I don't... I don't know what to do."
There was silence. For the first time during their fight, he had looked up at her. Her eyes filled with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I'm supposed to have the wisdom the answers. Well, I don't! And it's seems to me like you don't either. So stop pretending you're fine and that nothing has happened or is wrong! Is this what Uncle would have wanted? For you to hide away and shut everyone out because you think you have to do everything by yourself and no one will ever understand? Link he'd look at you and tell you your coward for thinking that!"
Fable gasped and clasped her hands to her mouth. The only thing that didn't leave them in complete silence was the thunder, followed by rain. He turned.
"Well, if that's what you think, then fine. Night Fa - Zelda."
And he walked out of the castle into the cold storm. He ran as far as he could while listening to Fables sobbing, apologizing, and calling after him. He didn't care. He just ran until he couldn't hear her anymore. They could apologize to each other later. He leaned against the trees and closed his eyes. When he opened them, a purple light had caught his eyes and led him to a portal. One he went through without hesitation.
Legend awoke. His eyes stared at the stone ceiling of a cave. He sat up and noticed the blanket covering his lower body. Legend looked over at the other two heroes who were both asleep. A look at Four, then at Hyrule told him that the Traveler had given them blankets so they wouldn't be cold. But no blanket was covering him. Legend sighed. First, he had snapped with his own sister and now the hero who understood him most. The hero who didn't scold him for the way he acted. The hero who could just let Legend be Legend. He groaned.
"What in Hylias name is wrong with me?"
Then he grabbed his blanket and walked over to the Traveler, who Legend could tell was very cold. He placed it over him as swiftly as he could so he would not wake the hero. And headed out of the cave. He sat just outside the entrance, thinking how worried Fable must be. And how he hadn't even had the chance to apologize to her.
The portal had sent Wild out of the portal so fast he didn't even realize that he was about to trip. So he ended up faceplanting into the ground. After a moment, he got up.
"Ow. That hurt. . . I wonder where everyone is. They definitely aren't he- YYOOOOW!"
One step on the foot he had tripped on, and Wild felt quite a lot of pain.
"Hylia, help me," he muttered before ignoring the injury completely and kept walking. He was trying to find out where he was and if there was any trace of the others. But the answers to both remained anonymous. No sign of anyone or where he was. He pulled out his Shiekah Slate and attempted to get a hold of Wind, but after trying repeatedly, he figured it was only Wind who could contact him. It was either that or Wild just couldn't figure it out. Flora was always much better at these things than him.
He put it away and started walking until he came to a hill . He made a metal note and began walking only to collapse one his injured foot and fall down onto the hill, and start rolling down it. The more he rolled, the faster he went. The faster he went, the more the sticks and rocks cut into his flesh and clothes. Tearing them both. He kept rolling until he wasn't. Instead, his body was not touching the ground at all it was falling. It was only a split second, though, for Wild felt his body stop and a hand clutching his hand tightly.
He figured it was one of the heroes, finding him in just the nick of time. It wasn't Time, the persons hand was too small. So it had to be one of the younger heroes because Warriors and Twilights' hands were also too big.
He felt the person pulling up until he was on solid ground again. And then slowly, he felt himself loose consciousness. He heard something that sounded like, " You're not Link," then it was nothing but darkness.
When he opened his eyes, they were blurry he thought he had only lost consciousness for a minute, but he could tell he was in a different area. Once he could see clearly, he sat up and looked around. He was on a bed in the middle of a cave. Beside the bed was a pot of water and a table with bandages and a damp cloth stained with blood.
A few inches away was another table with his tunic nicely folded and next to the Slate. His boots rest under it. It was then that Wild realized that he was completely shirtless and that most of his larger cuts were bandages. His injured foot was in a makeshift splint. How long had he been out? Who had helped him? Why? Was it one of the heroes or someone else?
His thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of voices. Not voices he recognized for they were female. One high-pitched and energetic the other steady but worried. She sounded like she was desperately trying to stay calm but just couldn't.
"And your suuuure that this isn't Link?"
"Yes. He's similar but not the same. Besides Link, where's green, not blue, remember?"
"True, but he could have changed outfits."
" Where would he get the clothes? He's been stuck in the Still World."
The two strangers walked in the cave. And suddenly, they had a body to match their voice. One was a hylian girl with a purple and white dress, mostly by her blue cloak. She had golden blonde hair, and in her hand, she held a yellow rod. The other figure was a small yellow orb with a little face and a few floating behind it. When they saw him, they stopped dead.
"Oh, you're awake!" Said the hylian as she walked over to him cautiously.
"How are you feeling? You were pretty banged up."
" Not amazing, but I've had worse."
"I tried my best to patch you up, but I can see now that I didn't do a great job," she said, clearly referring to all the unattended cuts.
"I'll be fine," he reassured her, but she looked skeptical. "Really, all I need is a potion. I should have some in my Slate."
The girl grabbed it and handed it to him. She watched as he scrolled through it before facepalming. " I must have used them all in that stupid battle!"
"Battle?" She asked
" Before I got here, me and my teammates got attacked by some nasty monsters. We got separated, it seems."
"I'm sorry to hear that. Separation isn't fun."
"Maybe we can help find them, Zelda!" Exclaimed the orb.
"Thanks, but I don't think they are anywhere close to . . . What?"
They were staring at him. Wild couldn't tell if it was astonishment or shock or worry for all three.
"You can see me?" Asked the orb.
" Yes. . .? Is that a bad thing?"
"No, it's just odd. You haven't been in a rift before, have you?" Asked the hylian
"Whats that?"
"Seriously?"
"Yes, seriously."
"Huh. . . that's new."
"Maybe he's just special like you, Zelda."
That last word had hit like a lightning bolt. What was the Zelda the princess of Hyrule doing here in a cave and ragady cloths.
" Wait, Zelda? As in the Princess of Hyrule?"
"Uh . . ." All the color from the girls skin disappeared.
"Y - yes. That would be me."
"Soooo what is the princess of Hyrule doing in the middle of nowhere?"
"It's . . . a long story. You really aren't from here huh?"
"Nope."
"Huh. Well, I'm Zelda, and this is Tri," she gestured towards the orb," And you are?"
"I'm Link."
They just stared. "This keeps getting weirder and weirder." Muttered the Princess. She sighed. "It's nice to meet you . . . Link."
She had said his name with hurt in her eyes. He had seen that hurt many times in his own Zeldas eyes. It made him wonder had happened to her Link. He had the feeling through that this Link, whatever had happened to him and wherever he was it definitely wasn't paradise.

Legend: (humming)
Time: What are you humming? It's not the song you usually hum.
Legend: It's a song called Legends Never Die.
Wind: ( just woke up) Wait, does that mean you're immortal?
Legend: Wha - no, I said legends, not Legend.
Wind: THERE ARE MULTIPLE OF YOU?!?
Legend: ( facepalms and says sarcastically) Sure Sailor there are multiple of me.
Wind: WOAH!
Four: ( mutters under his breath) I thought it was just me.
I imagine Warriors is laughing his butt off thinking this is the funniest thing in the world in the background. Hope you enjoyed it.

Separation Ch.3
Summary - Sky finds out more about this Hyrules Link and Zelda. And Ruley finds himself in the worst Hyrule possible. . . at least for him.
Without warning, Hyrule was thrust face first into the ground out of the portal.
"Owww..." He muttered as he got up and rubbed the side of his head. It wasn't long before he fell down again. It wasn't from lack of strength or because he was seriously injured, but instead from the smallest of the heroes in the Chain being thrust at him by the portal.
"Uhhhg...double ow."
"Sorry, Hyrule," said Four weakly. The smithy quickly got off Hyrule but not off the ground. He remained there sitting on his lap, clutching his shoulder. It was bleeding so perfusely that most of Fours hand was covered in dark red blood. His sleeve that was once white was almost entirely stained with the same blood.
Then, just before the portal closed, it shot out another one of the heroes. He flew straight past the smithy and crashed into Hyrule. Knocking him down... again.
" You have got to be kidding me."
Legend got off Hyrule without a word and laied on the ground, staring at the sky. It was very clear to see that Legends' wound had gotten worse and that his entire leg (from his wound down) was drenched in blood.
Both Four and Legend were pale as ghosts, and it was clear to see that both had lost a significant amount of blood. Hyrule wasn't too worried about it, though. It was nothing potions couldn't heal. Nothing like Twilights' wound had been. What worried him was the lack of heroes that came through. There were supposed to be nine of them, yet there were only three here in this place, including him.
Well, that can't be great, he thought. That thought was interrupted by Legend, however.
"Where...are we? Where's everyone... everyone else?"
Hyrule had no idea what the answer to the second question was, but after a quick look around, he had the answer to the first one. And he cussed very, very loudly. Four gave him a surprised stare, and Legend lifted his head up to look at him.
" What?" He asked.
" This is my era."
The walk to this Zeldas kingdom was mostly filled with awkward silence. She was a surprisingly silent princess, but Sky could hear her mutter things that sounded like, "I hope he's OK, and I can't believe him." Eventually, Sky broke the silence. If he wanted answers, then he was gonna have to ask some questions.
" Soooooooo, you get a lot of trouble here, huh Princess?" He asked
" Yes, unfortunately. If it's not one thing, it's always another."
"Your Majesty, I am curious about the person you mentioned earlier. The one who shares my name," he said as polite as possible.
"Ah, Link. He's very dear to me and recently he has gone missing. I... I think that's my fault, though," she said and then slowly came to a hault in her walking. Sky stopped too; curiosity written on his face.
"You see, we got into an argument. A really bad one. We said some very hurtful things to each other, and he stormed off. Out of the castle. As usual. And he didn't come back. I got worried. So I've been looking for him. . . But to no avail."
" Is that why you were out here by yourself, Princess?"
"Yeah, it is . . . . .Oh, I can't believe I just told that to a complete stranger!" She cried.
" Don't worry, it can be a secret to everyone," said Sky, cracking a smile. And the Princess cracked one herself. It only took a few more minutes before Zelda had proclaimed," Here we are. Hyrule, Castel Town."
Sky looked around, trying to find any clues to where he was in this bustling town. But none were to be found.
"It's beautiful princess," he said with a little disappointment at not being able to figure out which Hyrule he was in.
"I suppose. It has seen better days, though," she looked up at the town and smiled. "Where are you headed next?"
"I... uh, well ... I'm not entirely sure yet ...? There's just so much."
" Well, I'm headed to the castle. . . perhaps you could come as well. It might be nice to have some company that's not soldiers. . . or Ravio," she said and began walking, beckoning for Sky to follow. As he followed her, his thoughts were flooding his mind.
Ravio? Where had he heard that name before? He couldn't remember. But he had the feeling that he would figure it out soon enough.
"And that's a bad thing... why?" asked Legend.
Hyrule didn't have time to answer this question properly. And he didn't really want to either. He just didn't know how the other heroes would react if he told them that his blood was the key to bringing back the very beginning they all hated. And that in his era, he was constantly hunted because of it. That was something he preferred to keep to himself. At least for now.
"I-it just is!" He sputtered, causing Legend and Four to share concerned looks. Hyrule ignored it. "We need to go!"
"Wha- now?!" Sputtered Four weakly.
"Yes! If we don't leave right now, then they will find us!"
"How are we supposed to go anywhere? I barely have any strength, and Legend can barely walk!" Cried Four.
"I'm fine!" Legend protested, but all three new that was a lie.
"Look, if we stay here any longer, then things will only get worse. Trust me. There's a cave that's only a few feet away. We should be safe there for a while. But we have to move."
It must have been the determination in his eyes or the worry on his face that finally got them to heed his words. Four summoned his strength, and with the help of Hyrule, he got to his feet. They then helped Legend up, though he said he was fine and didn't need help walking. That claim was proven very false in less than 2 minutes because only after a few steps Legend collapsed, and Hyrule had to help him walk the rest of the way, much to the Vets displeasure.
After what seemed like forever ( it was only a 15-minute walk ), they had made it. It was almost dark now. The cave was pretty small but secure. It had various amounts of furniture that seemed odd to be in a cave. When asked, Hyrule had merly said that a friend of his lived here as he helped Legend on to the couch that was jammed in there.
"H-hey . . . Hyrule," stuttered Four, causing him to look back at the smallest hero. Hyrule could now see that Fours sleeve was completely drenched in dark red blood.
"C-can you take care of . . .this, please?"
"Oh, right. Sorry," he said as he reached the Smithy just in time to keep him from collapsing onto the floor and help him to one of the other furniture pieces before he completely blacked out.
Hyrule reached into his pouch and searched for a potion. Whether healing or magic, he didn't care. Either one would work. After a moment, a frown appeared on Hyrules face.
"What?" asked Legend
"I . . . I'm out. I'm out of potion. Do you have any?"
"If I did, then I would have already drank it and be done with this stupid injury and be able to walk! So your answer is no. Can't you just use your life spell?"
"Not really no. I barely have any energy or magic to use it. And if I try and do it with the magic I have right now, there's only a 50/50 chance that it will work. Besides, if I run out of magic completely, then I get magic exhaustion. And that is not a good thing sooooooo the old fashioned way it is!"
Hyrule took out a bottle of water, a cloth, and some bandages and began to work. He took Fours arm and slipped it out of his tunic sleeve. Then he grabbed the water and poured just a bit onto the cloth. He then began to dab the wound with the cloth. Legend watched silently as Hyrule worked. When Hyrule decided that the wound was clean enough, he took the bandages and started to wrap thoroughly wrap the wound up in them. Soon, he was finished.
"There." Hyrule said triumphantly. Before turning to face Legend," Your turn." Legend rolled his eyes but didn't protest. So Hyrule began to work again. He slipped Legends boot off ( because it was drenched in blood ) and began dabbing his injury. Though he tried to be as gentle as possible, he still caught Legend trying to suppress hisses of pain.
"I'm honestly a bit surprised that you haven't lost consciousness by now. You've lost just as much if not more blood than Four," said Hyrule as he worked," It's honestly quite impressive."
"Well, let's just say that being on so many adventures makes you kinda tolerant to that sort of thing."
"I can imagine," Hyrule replied as he set down the now bloody cloth, picked up the bandages, and started wrapping them around Legends wound.
"So Hyrule, I have a question for you."
"And it is?"
"Why were you so hasty to leave that area?"
"I . . . It's complicated.". .
"Try me."
Hyrule sighed." Well, the monsters here are . . . really bloodthirsty. And if we stayed there, then they would have found us."
Legend looked very skeptical, but before he could press further, Hyrule had begun to speak again.
"Finished," he said as he put the rest of the bandages in his pouch. "How does it feel? I didn't make it too tight, did I?"
"No, it's fine. Where did you learn to take care of injuries like that?"
"I uh picked it up along my adventures. Zelda taught me a lot, though. Wait, don't you know how to take care of them?"
" I mean, technically, yes. But not as well as you. If I didn't get a chance to patch myself up first, usually Fable or Marin -"
He paused and looked down at the cave floor. "Usually, they would do it." He finished half-heartedly.
". . . I haven't heard those names before. Who are they?"
"Fable is the nickname for my Zelda."
". . . And Marin?"
"She. . . it's complicated," he sighed.
"Try me."
"No."
"Ah, come on! I told you! Please!"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because."
"That's not an answer."
" Yes, it is."
"No. It's not. Seriously, just tell m-"
"I SAID NO HYRULE!"
Silence swept through the air. Both stood facing each other silently. It seemed to take Legend a minute before he realized he had yelled. His face turned from angery and annoyed to shock and guilty. And he turned away from the Traveler.
" It's not something you or anyone else should ever know about. So just forget it, ok?" He sighed, " I'm going to bed. See you in the morning."
And he lied down on the couch facing away from a Hyrule who was shocked and confused and guilty. He sat on the other piece of furniture that Four was laying on but made no attempt to sleep. Someone had to keep watch. But he seriously doubted that he would be able to sleep even if he tried. His thoughts were coming in one after another. He sighed. It seemed to Hyrule that he wasn't the only one who didn't want his secrets spilled.

Summary - Sky finds himself in a new world with a rather ... "warm" welcome. And Twilight is definitely not panicking at all. Nope, no panicking for Twilight.
One moment, Sky and the rest of the Chain were headed through a portal. The next, he was falling through the sky. Considering that Sky lived in the clouds most of his life, this wasn't completely abnormal for him. It was a bit weird that it wasn't his era he was falling in, though. But what the really weird part was is that he was falling... alone?
Where was the rest of the Chain? Why weren't they together? What in the world is happening? Those were the thoughts of a slightly no very confused Sky. He had a calm landing due to Zeldas' wonderful Sail Cloth she had made for him. He was in a forest like area. Lots of trees and brush.
" Guys? Guys! Come on, if this is a joke, it's not funny! Wait, how could this be a joke? We're terrible at those. We'll besides Time- focus Link! Where is everyone? That's what you should be focusing on!" He scolded to no one but himself.
He looked around, concluding that he was alone. No Time. No Legend. No Twilight or Warriors. No one. No one but him. He looked around even more. The least he could do was try and find out where he was. It definitely wasn't his era. Nor was it Times, Twilights, Winds, or Wilds. That only left Hyrules, Fours, Warriors, and Legends. He guessed it wasn't Warriors ot Hyrules based on the description of their Hyrules they had been given. That only left two. The problem was he didn't know how to tell which one it was. They had only seen a sliver of Legends and hadn't even stepped into Fours.
Sky looked up at the sky. The portal was now gone. Not that I could have reached it, he thought. He closed his eyes and listened to his surroundings. Zelda had told him this was a good way to calm down. And when your girlfriend is a literal goddess, you tend to heed her advice more than not. He heard the tiny birds and how the wind brusseled against the trees. These sounds were interrupted, however , by the sounds of russeling in the brush. He wasn't alone anymore. And he had no idea what hid in the brush. So he drew his sword (as a precaution), and sword ready, he waited.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS ONLY ME AND WIND THAT CAME THROUGH?!" cried Twilight, who was now pacing and harshly grabbing his hair.
" Twilight for the love of - will you stop yelling! And I'm mean that it was only the two of you that came through! No, Sky! No one else but you!" She cried back at him. Unlike Twilight, Sun was sitting on the edge of a step with her hands holding her forehead.
" OK, ok, calm down, Link. You are not panicking. Think, what would Midna do? ... On second thought, maybe that's not such a good idea. Oh, Time would probably have a plan by now! Stupid portal," he ranted," Oh, I swear the goddess hates us sometimes." He had muttered that part under his breath, but apparently Sky forgot to mention his girlfriend has super hearing because somehow she still heard him.
"OK, I get it.Your upset, but that was just offensive. I nor do any of the goddesses hate you!" She sighed. She was now standing up, pointing her finger directly at Twilight. "I need you to pull yourself together or so help me, wolf boy! Now stop panicking -"
" Panicking? What makes you say that?"
Sun glared at him, sighed, and sat back down, resuming her position from earlier.
"Everything," she replied.
Sky didn't have to wait long before finding out what er who had been hiding in the brush. In a split second, the air had been filled with the clinging of swords. This person had attacked; Sky had defended. Whoever this was, she was very good at sword play. Sky could see that she had golden blonde hair that went just below her shoulders. She wore a kind of dress that covered only half her knees and was colored blue and white. She wore tights and brown boots. The only accessory Sky could make out was a thick gold bracelet with a jewel in the middle. From the look on her face, she was very angry about something. The fight had only lasted a few minutes before they both had each other's sword at one another's throat.
" Who are you?" She asked
Sky figured honesty is the best policy, so ," Link," he replied.
" Don't lie! There is only one Link around here, and he's... missing," she said, edging her sword closer so that Sky could now feel its cold, sharpness.
" I swear on my life I'm not lying. My name is Link and I'm a traveler from ... out of town."
" Get lost or something because this not the usual way in to my kingdom."
" Yes, I most certainly have gotten lost. I'm not very good with direction without a map, heh."
She considered it for a moment before lowering her weapon; Sky lowered his as well. But both kept a firm grip on the handle.
" Your story seems legit enough. My apologies. My kingdom has been through some... hardships in recent times, and as it ruler, I'm quite on edge," she said, letting her expression soften just a bit. It was then that Sky connected the dots.
" Ruler?" he asked.
" Oh, where are my manners? I'm Princess Zelda, ruler of Hyrule," she said," Now allow me to show you the way to my kingdom. It's the least i can do. But..." She turned and gave him a stone eyed glare that reminded him of both his Zelda and Legend. "If you try anything "funny," then I will kill you myself understood?"
Sky nodded hastly and followed her, taking one last look at the sky.
"I...see."
Twilight had just finished explaining to Sun what had occurred before the portal had separated him from the others. Her expression told Twilight that she was in deep thought, but she was also quite worried. Twilight could have swore that Sun was now pailer than before.
" If you are worried about Sky, he was fine. I mean a little banged up, but not seriously injured," he reassured her. It was weird reassuring a goddess when she was supposed to be the reassuring one. She gave him a small smile, which he returned.
"I have no idea ,honestly, of what could have happened. But I'm sure that we'll figure it out. It's getting late. You should go get some rest. There are beds up in there," she said, pointing towards a pair of doors. Twilight had no further suggestions and was quite tired if he was being honest. So he heeded Suns advice. And started making his way there.
"And Twilight." He stopped and looked at her. " Don't worry. We will find them, even if I have to go to the ends of the skies. That I promise."
Twilight took the bed beside Wind, who Sun had bandaged and patched up thoroughly. Twilight watched the young sailor as his chest rose and fell in accordance with his breathing before lying down himself. He stared at the stone ceiling, thoughts flooding his mind. They would have to wait, he thought. And he closed his eyes with only two thoughts not being pushed to the back of his mind. One where he wondered about what the others were doing and if they were safe. The other about a girl whom he'd never see again. He was always sure never to push his thoughts of her to the back of his mind. Yet he didn't exactly know why. He always thought of her at bizarre times. He always thought of what remarks or advice she would have given. And if he blocked out the other sounds, he could swear he could still hear her laugh. It was funny to him that he had once loathed the sound, but now he yearned for it. Even if it was only one more time.

Separation ch.1
Summary - Most everything was OK. Sure, the Links kept secrets, and random portals kept appearing out of thin air, and more than half the monsters they fought had black blood. But they had each other, and that usually got them through it all. Everything would be fine as long as they stuck together and didn't get separated.
The sound of clinging metal was almost the only thing that filled the air. It was that, the smell of blood and worry. Though it was worry and quite a bit of frustration from more than just Legend. These black blooded monsters they had run into were not only kicking their butt's but doing it easier than usual. This was what worried most of the heroes, especially Time. Twilight could tell by the Old Man's expressions and the worried glances he shot not only Twilight but anyone who was in a tight spot fighting these unusual monsters, though they could all handle themselves perfectly fine. But he understood where it came from, and he would be lying if he wasn't just a bit worried himself. These monsters, which consisted mostly of Blins and Moblins from Wilds era, had caused Fours shoulder to bleed profusely, a bad head injury for Warriors, a stab wound though Legends shin, and handful of other injuries for the other heros and Twilight himself.
Right now, Twilight didn't even know how Legend was standing, let alone fighting. The same could be said for the youngest of the heroes who had sustained the most injuries in this battle. Twilight was pretty sure that when this battle was done with they would both collapse immediately. He dogded an attack just barely but still sustaining a cut to the cheek. If he had been just two seconds to slow and the blow would have cut across his entire face. Twilight slashed the monster a number of times before it fell limp on the ground. He watched it fall before doing so himself. He had triped on something.
" Sorry, Twi," Twilight stood back up as quickly as he had fallen and looked around to see Hyrule on the floor beside him. Twilight extended his hand, helping him up.
"Thanks," Hyrule said, " Don't mention it. You good?" Was the reply Twilight gave, and he waited now for Hyrules' reply. When he didn't get one, Twilight began to worry,
"Hyrule?" he asked, and his eyes met the Travelers, " We have got to get out of this battle. I seriously doubt we're gonna be able to win this one. Just look at the others."
Twilight didn't need a look to know just how badly the Chain was beat up. He glanced back at Hyrule and was met with pure worry.
" Can't you heal them?" he asked, " Not now. I don't have the energy, and they are moving around way too much. But that's not the problem. More monsters are coming, and if we don't leave now, then we are screwed."
Twilight wanted to ask more about how Hyrule knew this and why they would be so screwed but clearly, now was not the time. So he nodded and fought through the monsters until he found Time.
"Time we need to go." He said a little bit too frantically. Time raised his eyebrow when Twilight glared in response he merely said, " I agree, but how is the question." And as an answer to that question, a portal appeared within just about 6 inches of them.
Twilight heard Time mutter something that sounded like that'll work before he shouted, " Everyone to the portal!" And no one argued. Both Time and Twilight waited at the portal as they watched the Chain go through. First Hyrule, who muttered 'Thank Hylia' as he went through. Four followed with Legend close behind limping, though he tried not to show it. Sky went next. Then Wild. The Captain followed. After Warriors went through, the portal began blinking. A sign that it was gonna close momentarily. However, the youngest hero was still multiple feet away, fighting off the monsters as best he could. But it was clear his strength was just about gone. He wouldn't make it.
"Go," Twilight told Time," I'll get the Sailor through,"
Time hesitated but went through non the less. Twilight clutched the dark crystal hanging from his neck and transformed to the wolf they all knew him to turn into. Then he bolted to the Sailor, and when he got close, he motioned for the Sailor to get on. He did so hastily. And when he was on Twilight, he bolted towards the portal as fast as he could. Twilight was not about to let it disappear without them. He felt the Sailor thump against him and knew he had lost consciousness. That only made him run faster. Then, seeing the portal about to close, he flung himself forward, making it through.
Twilight opened his eyes and was met with a wonderful sight. It was like she had never left, and she was standing over him.
"Midna"...
" Twilight snap out of it! Please..."
Twilight blinked Midna was gone, and in her place was someone else. Someone he recognized if only slightly. When his eyes adjusted, he saw clearly who it was.
"Sun... what...? Where am I? What happened?" He sat up, now realizing that he himself had lost consciousness. "You're in the Sealed Grounds. You came through a portal and blacked out." She said. Her face was filled with concern, but it was also quite firm. Twilight looked around," Where are the others?"
Sun looked straight into his eyes, " I was hoping that you knew." When Twilights expression changed to confusion, Sun clarified. " Twilight it was only you and Wind who came through the portal. Nobody else."
It took a moment for Twilight to register what she said before he yelled,
"WHAT?!?!??"
He was pretty sure anyone in a ten mile radius could have heard him.
