It was not capable of sarcastic remarks or dramatic changes in tone, but it could still use blatant mockery. 

the fury that rose along commander shepard’s spine was sullen, it was SILENT but it still made unfathomable explosion. the woman took one step forward, hand rising, finger pointing in SHEER judgmental calculation  —-           ‘  YOU listen to ME. all you are is a machine, in capable of emotion. Its inquiries were not truly questions, regardless of their phrasing- they were false facts...

The hologram faded, and the room in which their discussion had taken place seemed to ignite in glorious blue light.

Its voice remained, though the projected image did not.

    Strings. Strings, strings, strings, bleeding BLUE and tied to BONES. Pulling, twining, tugging, wrenching limbs into an artificial, concise dance, criss-crossing like spiderwebs.  Mandibles work, teeth scrape, fabricated optics ROLL to the hologram, as if everything within the vast room of cable and wire has been erased from attention, wiped from memory.     The weight of that sightless stare is enough to lower proud, arrogant shoulders. He is no COMMANDER of the geth army, now. He is not a soldier of the highest caliber. He is a   w r e t c h. An emotion, deep within the cavity of Arterius’ chest, rises up like a weak storm to battle those words. And it peters out before it is able to reach ghoulish eyes.      “ Tranquility. Yes. That is what I wish to feel. “ No strangling fear. No self-devouring rage.  No will.  Optics shutter at that–but promptly follow the to and for of metal limbs. A trance. The mention of Shepard shatters self-doubt. And the promise of HARM further dashes any meek chance of rational thought.  “ Sovereign—no—please, I won’t fail you again. “ The words fly from his mouth, rushed. Parts of him still BURN from prior implants. And little by little, he loses himself–something he SWORE would never happen under this Reaper’s control.

         alright, sappy warning. yep. you’ve all been warned.  so, been here for a little bit altogether (and I’m terribly sorry for disappearing—life is hectic on my end, and I really wish I could be here consistently–and able to consistently reply to threads, too), but I just want to remind you all that you are all joys to have on my dashboard. I’ve never seen so much talent gathered in one place, and it honestly makes me giddy when we have an opportunity to write together. this is an escape for everyone, basically, and it’s both very very funny and very very wonderful and wow. if i follow you? yep. i read everything you write, and enjoy it. you’ve all made me smile and laugh, whether it was from afar or right in my inbox. thank you.
