Sometimes I wonder if people read asoiaf with their eyes wide shut. How do you read about Sansa and Aryaās relationship, when one of them hadnāt even hit double digits, in AGOT where they have apretty normal younger/older sister dynamic and then go on to read each of their povs in the following books where they both explicitly think about how they miss the other , and somehow conclude: āHmm, oh yes, Iām sure those two little girls, separated by war and are each otherās remaining family, will definitely not like each other and be at odds. I am very smart, you see.ā
Their relationship was already conflictual before, which sets the stage for resolution and friendship in the last two books. Itās not that hard to get. If Johnny has two applesā¦

Sansa Stark in House Tully colours
there should be Arya in the back screaming 'A woman is important too!' as Sansa is dressing in their mother's colours

These are the book references of Daenerys and Sansa which clearly shows the parallels between these two women .But DnD are cowards to make them petty catfighting enemies rather than friends( or more š)

My friends showed me the Descendants movie for the first time, and I am very clearly not the target audience for this franchise and that's fine lol.
But for fun, I wanted to do this redesign if I were tasked with imagining the Descendants characters. I personally don't dig the modern setting, so I would've leaned towards a fantasy aesthetic closer to something like The School for Good and Evil.
I knew I wanted Mal to have her mother's (and father's) unnatural complexion, and yellow eyes from both. I also wanted to give another small nod to Hades with the blue flame (if she were to use ger spellbook, the magic from it would manifest in blue flames). I gave her little purple baby horns that would turn black as she got older. I also put hints of red in her outfit, which I wanted to be her main color (especially for her coronation look at the end of the story) later on instead of just purple and black like Maleficent, to reflect her slowly coming into her own. Overall, my goal was to push her look to be a lot more witchy and supernatural looking.
I'll likely redesign the other villain kids as well. Let me know if you'd like to see them too!

Following my redesign of Mal, hereās my take on Evie from Descendants! š I wanted her look to be contrast Mal and be a lot more polished since sheās royalty. I also leaned more into prim and princess-like based on her personality in the movie, but still maintaining dark elements in her aesthetic. I gave her a little skull makeup bag as a nod to the skull in her motherās dungeon from the original film!

for all the problems i had with the writing of this show, i loved how they handled serenaās redemption, if thatās how you want to call it. for at least two seasons serena has somehow believed june would forgive her and be her friend when the most sheād done was say āiām sorryā. throughout season 6 she admits her plans didnāt just āgo wrongā but she was wrong herself. she then plans to improve the handmaidsā conditions and reform gilead altogether, she confronts her very powerful and very angry husband about them, she finally helps kill all the major commanders including said husband and then, finally, declares that on top of being sorry she feels SHAME. it was always there, she just wouldnāt face it until that very moment, the one where she feels she might never have the chance to tell her again. only then does june gather the willpower to give her closure. itās a beautiful moment. i do believe they were always the most interesting dynamic of the show and no romance could compete.

*̩̩Ķā§ĶFingon ā§Ķ*̩̩Ķā ĶĶ Ėāā
"Fingon the "Valiant" was a Ćoldorin Elf, the eldest son of Fingolfin. He ruled the Noldor as High King from F.A. 456, following the death of his father in single combat with Morgoth. However, Fingon is mostly remembered for his friendship with Maedhros, who he rescued from the peaks of Thangorodrim."
I can't tell you all how much I loved working on this piece, it really sat well with me to just let go and practice as I worked on it. I'm espeecially proud of Fingon's hair here and his horse. I love Fingon's hair fr though.. One of these days I'll snag it off of him...I need that luscious hair with gold in it NEOOWWW.
