Fuuuuuck this is such a good interpretation of them omg I love Thomas and Andy angst

“Andy and Thomas getting along and talking casually to each other after being stuck in the same body for while” But if Andy wasn’t comfortable with Thomas at all. And never was to begin with. Because of the unsettling reality that basically your god/creator, whose species is unrecognizable to yours, is now permanently attached to you at the hip. Along with brain, nerves, heart, to your very bones. Sometimes your own words, thoughts, and movement aren’t your own! With zero room for privacy. To the point Andy cannot sleep without the discomforting thought of sharing someone’s haunted memories so much that it blurs into his own, forcibly making him beg the question if his were ever his own or real to begin with. Begin to confuse flesh with the machine as if there was really any kind of difference between the two.

And with how reluctant/“straight-man” Andy is to the supernatural, the bizarre, strangeness itself, and especially his reaction to Peter in general, etc. It becomes more likely Andy’s reaction to Thomas existence (and the other’s souls forced upon his friends possibly) wouldn’t be all buddy-buddy and “sunshine and rainbows” with each other the more they interacted. Andy’s kind-heartedness could only go so far before The Dread™️ sets in.

Idk man,,, I just. Believe he couldn’t settle with that kind of discomfort. It’s a kind of horror not even Peter could set into him. But a mistake done by the hands of his own creator aka false god. Not even his own identity is his anymore. Then, to having to sit with this and the unimaginable idea that your own current autonomy is dependent on a soul corroding and corrupting your own code to truly realize any of the previous statements that you, in fact, live this colorful void of digital ignorance. You understanding what I’m putting down here?

And then have Thomas constantly trying to reach out to Andy to try and converse him as this kind, self-loathing unwilling tormented-became-tormentor. Of course stuck in this unforgiving hell of his own making via the entity but now causing his own kind of special hell to Andy, his own creation, for simply existing and not wanting to be alone.

That has to sting just a little… the gift that never stop giving, huh? It starts to make sense why Thomas’s tortured soul was given to Andy as a gift on Christmas. It wasn’t just a fucked up present given for no reason, but a reminder to both Andy and Thomas: You torture yourselves just by being. And nothing will change and neither will either of you. Like Peter doesn’t even have to do half of the work when they’re doing it themselves? Is this making sense???
