Thank you, I really appreciate it! I’ve just been feeling uninspired and not proud of my work and stories, I guess. I think I just burnt myself out with the pressure I’ve put on myself to write for the Maples, and that was what made me end their gameplay. I’m hoping to fix it soon--I was meant to start the Get a Life challenge here, but I’ve been avoiding that save for some reason.

I hope I snap out of it soon.

Melanie: Well, thank you so much for all of the amazing revelations tonight, and I appreciate you coming onto my show. I understand that there’s a sneak peek of your album you’ll be sharing with us tonight?

Oliver: Yeah, the first song on my album! I really hope you all enjoy it.

He walks towards the set up for his musical appearance and grabs his guitar, smiling down at it. No one knew how special this guitar was; it was the only thing left from his old life, other than the necklace he stole from his aunt before he left.

Oliver began to play and sing his song, and slowly the show ended. As the lights dimmed and his guitar strums faded into the sounds of everyone wrapping up on set, Oliver put the microphone back. He walked backstage, putting his guitar into its case, and sighed softly. He walked back to the dressing room he had been given access to and shut the door, leaning against it and closing his eyes.

He had finally made it. This is what he had always wanted. But yet... it felt so empty. He had never stopped feeling alone, even with all of the fame and riches he had amassed over the past five years. He missed his family.

Possibly abrupt, but this is where I’m ending the Maple Legacy. It has been a fun run, and I can’t believe I’ve been playing with this family for so long. It’s been two years since the beginning, and I didn’t want to end it this way, but this family and this story has run its course. It no longer brings me joy.

So I wanted to wrap up this family as is. Oliver and his fiance will be on the gallery if you want to download him; my origin ID is AutumnalPixels.

I will be starting a new family soon. Thank you all for sticking around with me and reading my dumb stories. I appreciate it so much.

Melanie: You two were spotted gazing lovingly at one another on vacation. Any idea what could be going on there?

Oliver laughed again.

Oliver: Alright, you’ve all caught me red handed. Austyn and I have been together for about a year now.

Melanie: You’ve hid that from us for all of this time? I’m so sad, Oliver!

Oliver: Well, I’m sure everyone knows by now how much I value my privacy. One of the big things I was planning to announce tonight was my engagement to Austyn.

The audience gasps in shock, but Melanie just grins.

Melanie: That’s wonderful, congratulations. Hopefully you two let us in to see the wedding.

Melanie: That must have been hard. I can’t really imagine. I’m fortunate enough to have had a pretty easy life so far, I’ll be honest.

Oliver: Lucky!

He winked at Melanie and began to laugh, the audience following his lead.

Oliver: But all that I’ve gone through has made me into who I am today, and I wouldn’t take that back.

The audience cheers.

Melanie: You say that you’re still alone, but the paparazzi say otherwise! Can you explain why you were cuddling up next to TV personality Austyn Kessler?

Oliver: Well, I’ll be honest Melanie, I’m not super proud of my past or where I came from. I’ve kept it under wraps from most everyone I know.

Melanie: That’s a bit concerning!

The audience began to laugh as Oliver chuckled again, seeming to become more nervous the more they stayed on this subject.

Oliver: As I’ve mentioned before, on the Today Show, I was a runaway. I left home at around fifteen and have been on my own ever since. It’s been pretty lonely and life is hard, man. Being homeless for several years has taught me lessons that I shouldn’t have had to learn, like which grocers threw out the most food, and which ones didn’t care if you ate out of their dumpsters. There’s not many.

The crowd sighs in sadness, empathetic to his story.

Melanie: So, to start us off, tell us all about your new album. What was your inspiration?

Oliver: Well, since it’s my first full album, I wanted it to be deeply personal. As you know, I’ve not been very forthcoming about my past--

Melanie: Speaking of, why do you hold back from us? We all love you, Oliver. We all want to know the story that made you the man you are today!

Applause filled the studio and Oliver smiled and waved out at the audience before returning to his relaxing sitting position.

Melanie: Tonight we will be discussing the man that has taken the music industry by storm. With a new album dropping within the next week, we have so much to talk about, Oliver!

Oliver: I’m excited to be here. I’ve been a big fan of your show for a while, Melanie.

Melanie: What a charmer. Isn’t he just wonderful, folks?
